Cups lovely hang on in there, I know it's tough, if you do want to test I would do it either 14 or 15 days past egg collection. I was quite convinced it hadn't worked this last time because I had no symptoms so you really can't tell! Lots of brooking for you!

Kitty have started your iui now? With reference to acupuncture, I did it for a few months and it did make a difference to my period as it was light, but I'd say the main benefit for me was relaxation and a chance to off load on someone else. I dod it all the way through my first ivf except during the 2ww as my acupuncturist doesn't recommend unless it's to relieve any symptoms. This time around for my ivf I only did the before and after transfer as they do say that helps.

Kitty the recommendations for accupuncture with IVF are ideally just before, and just after transfer. Then I think you're meant to wait until the BFP.

I feel your pain about being surrounded by babies. I think during TTC, almost every single one of our friends, and I'm not exaggerating, had at least one baby. I think I became immune to it in the end, but there was a point that I really struggled, and avoided baby showers as I needed to be in the right mind set, and I knew going would undo everything.

maybe you know I'm actually having doubts about going or at least staying. I know I've organised it but I think I might have been overcompensating... Dh is going to be on stand-by having 'locked himself out and needing me to come strait home to let him in'. I dropped the pretend champers earlier and it exploded across the kitchen - I swear its an omen!

I think you need to do what's best for you Kitty. Good plan to have DH locked out. I may well have used that excuse before

Geek!!!! it's bloody lovely to see you my dear! Don't worry I know you are always brooking even from afar. I knew you had an extra long trigger shot so I've been wary of testing early. How are you doing? We miss you lots. I don't blame you for taking a break though. You are so right that time moves quicker in the real world! X

Kitty I don't think it was me who said acupuncture should be done in the two week wait, I think it was Keep. Tbh I don't know much about it. I've heard that pre and post transfer is good. My acupuncturist likes to do one roughly around implantation time. Acupuncturists seem to vary a lot on their advice! Good luck for the baby shower and christening, it's a good idea to have DH on standby. You might be absolutely fine but if you find it too much at least you have an excuse ready. Don't worry about the fake fizz, it's not a sign. The stuff is no substitute for the real thing and no one will miss it

After I last posted I got a phone call from a very good friend to tell me she's pregnant. I took it hard tbh, I did a good job of sounding happy on the phone as she was so relieved with my response that she started crying. I felt even worse then as she such a good friend to be worrying about how we would feel. It's just awkward timing.

We still haven't decided on a test date, we had thought of wed/thurs but now DH might have to go London for work then. I still haven't got any tests yet!

When is the OTD Cups?

It's the 20th which is 17 dpt, how many dpt did you test?

I tested 10dp5dt. But OTD was 2 days after that. It's such an agonising wait.

Well if I test next Thursday ill be 13dp3dt and it will be 15 days post EC and 17 days post trigger so I would expect a positive by then.

I agree Cups. You would def get a positive by then, and there'd be no chance of it being the trigger. Order thee some tests!! Did your clinic not give you one?

cups I have spare tests if you want them. I don't want them in the house so was planning on giving them away any ways. If you want them?
