hi Decafgirl

My cycles since coming off the pill were, 48, 47, 46, 70, 56 and last one todate has been 35 (yipee)

I went to the doctors in march for this and he said anything over 42 days ment i was not ovulating. Since then i have had a few blood tests which confirmed this and DP had his test, he was fine and i am now on the waiting list for the fertility clinic. Hoping they will give me clomid.

Am not saying this is the same for you, but maybe you should get it checked out.

x

Afternoon all. Was on ebay last night, and there is a shop on there called tk diagnostics. They sell really cheap pg tests and ovulation testing kits. They post them to you first class when they receive your payment. Just hope they are not rubbish ones!!

Sexonlegs · 20/06/2006 13:09

I have to say I kind of agree with you HC re the ov sticks. I have decided not to use them any more and just bd every other day from when af stops! Otherwise you spend so much time and energy obsessing about dates and making sure you bd at exactly the right time/date that it takes the pleasure away from it somewhat.
So, let's just keep at it ladies!

Beccy1974 · 20/06/2006 13:14

i'm not weeing on the sticks anymore as i just dont' u'stand them. i've had four sets of the 2 identical darkness lines in my first month of using them. so i'm none the wiser.

bobblehead · 20/06/2006 14:14

I'm actually hoping to get af now as on cd35 and really don't want to be having cycles any longer than that! I really really don't think I'm pg so not going to test for another week at least if no sign (who am I kidding- I have a drawer full of cheapo testsGrin). I just hate that build up from the moment you decide to pee on a stick until the 3 mins after when if its neg you're whole mood for the day is ruined (even if you knew it would be neg!).
I also think I ov around cd21 if I ov at all this cycle, so its nice to know a few of us do and as Pinkranger says, doesn't mean its too late!

pinkranger · 20/06/2006 15:16

im rubbish at doing links so i will bump it and you can see what gave me hope!! Smile

This will probably sound silly to all of you, and probably v. naive on my part, but I am just taking each day as it comes and not stressing over dates and things. This means I now enjoy bding as I am more relaxed and spontaneous than when we were 'trying' ttc. Smile

bobblehead · 20/06/2006 16:16

That is the way I want to be Cheescake and on good days I manage itSmile

cheesecakelover · 20/06/2006 16:21

Good on you, I find it's so much more enjoyable that way. Smile

Natty1806 · 20/06/2006 16:23

Quick question just started to chart this month on CD6 how do i do my coverline?

Sexonlegs · 20/06/2006 17:10

Hi ccl, this is the way me and dh are going to go this month, as there is too much stress on getting it on the right days etc. It is becoming too mechanical for my liking. Dh is happy to be getting it full stop!!

cheesecakelover · 20/06/2006 17:24

Hi SOL. I know what you mean, before we started 'trying', we were lucky to bd once a month but its picked up now. Call me weird, but it can be a bit of a turn on ttc, especially when you're not worring about dates etc.

Sexonlegs · 20/06/2006 18:31

That's not weird; that's really cool! Do you feel like it's a challenge - in a good way? I kind of do. How long have you been ttc? Have you any other children? Sorry to be so nosey!!

Hopecat · 20/06/2006 20:27

Evening. I know I should be watching the football, but I can't be arsed. Hope we win though Smile

cheesecakelover - we're using the same 'no method' method now. Used to find ttc a turn-on, but it's been going on too long now for that to light our respective fires.

Got a slight metallic taste in my mouth today, but that's all. No sore boobs, just moody. Roll on next Wednesday!

Sorry Blush - got new laptop and the mouse is really sensitive.

Hopecat · 20/06/2006 20:30

btw natty this is the \link{http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk?topicid=1366&threadid=159175&stamp=060620125900\temping thread}. They'll tell you all you need to know!

Sexonlegs · 20/06/2006 20:55

Just having a break from the footie. I have to say I am not normally interested, but it has been pretty good - do you think this is a sympton of pg??? Ha Ha Ha. Hopecat, keeping my fingers crossed for you pet.
I want to be pg so I no longer have to put up with bloody awful period pain. Obviously this is not the only reason by any means, but I am in agony this month and want it to STOP!
Must run.

cheesecakelover · 20/06/2006 22:14

Hi all. Just finished watching the footie, had me on the edge of my seat!!
SOL, yeah, I suppose I do feel like it's a bit of a challenge, and as challenges are made to be completed, I will complete this one! We have only been trying for 3 months, but it seems like forever, maybe this is because when we were trying for ds I came off the pill and 5 wks later was 5 wks pregnant! Smile
I wasn't sure at first whether to try for another because I felt like I would be pushing ds out, so we put off ttc for a while, but now I am sure he would like a sibling as he is nearly 2 and when you ask him if thats what he would like, he replies 'yes' (poor kid, so naive).
I did read somewhere that if you have had a caesarean then it can take up to 5 months longer tc, does anybody know if this is correct?

ruthlouise · 20/06/2006 22:36

Hi again, Can I ask a question please? Well I'll ask it anyway Wink...

Does anyone know, Whats the earliest someone can OV after AF? sorry if TMI coming up but I'm on CD12 and had EWCM on day 10 but then it vanished. Last month I was using OV sticks from day 11 and didn't get a +ve so wonder whether I might OV earlier in the month than I thought or maybe I didn't OV? Last cycle was only 25 days

Hopecat · 20/06/2006 23:14

Hi ruthlouise.

As far as I know (which isn't that far) you can OV between 10 and 18 days before AF is due. I know you read a lot that the luteal phase is fixed, but I don'd think that's strictly true.

HTH

ruthlouise · 21/06/2006 07:18

Thanks Hopecat. Yes, I'd read that the luteal phase is fixed. There's so much stuff on the internet that it can be difficult to know what to believe isn't it. The month before I OV'd on the 3rd May, spotted on 11th and had AF on 14th so convinced myself I had a luteal phase defect! not sure how long that cycle was as it was first AF after late m/c.

Have a good day everyone. Where's the sunshine? I'm off to work...

Natty1806 · 21/06/2006 08:16

Thanks for the link Hopecat, will read it later and trying to have a day off from MN today as i seem to log on every hour.

Anyway thanks again.x

Hopecat · 21/06/2006 09:29

Morning.

CD21 today. Got to be careful now as I have 3 days in a row with no structured working time. Plenty to do but no-one to make me do it.

This is traditionally when I switch straight into symptom-obsessing mode. Already caught myself searching for symptoms in bed this morning.

Must distract myself.
