Nomaybe - I was worried about me earlier too! I thought I was going to have a panic attack. Just found everything too overwhelming.

OP posts:
NoMaybeAboutIt · 22/07/2013 18:45

Totally understandable Twinks. Panic attacks are scary!

twinklestar2 · 22/07/2013 18:54

I nearly had one during ET too. I just want this to be over and I get my BFP so I never go though this again! My OH said earlier this TTC process is the most horrendous thing he's ever gone through.

:(

But then we made a list of all the positive things that had happened during the ivf process. We have to try and keep going.

It is very tough Twinks Cliched though it is, DH and I are definitely stronger after going through all of this Smile

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 22/07/2013 19:32

Twinks glad to hear your feeling better since talking to DH. You did the right thing going home. Panic attacks are awful, it's completely understandable after what you have been through. Rubbish timing with the royal baby and your friends baby. It's just impossible to escape baby news at the moment it seems.

Wish great to see you, hopefully not long until you can start your FET.

Choco you are PUPO!!! Thanks

Wim good luck for tomorrow Smile

Sorry I've forgotten everything else, I'm so tired today. Busy day at work. I'm on day 4 stimms and my stomach is starting to feel a bit tight. Is that normal? Fab how are you getting on with the stimms?

Oh and I don't want the preggos to leave either, we still need you! X

wishwash · 22/07/2013 19:45

I'm so sorry to hear you were finding it all too much twinks. My clinic insisted that I had 2 weeks of and gave me a sick note on the morning of my EC. If I'm honest, in hindsight, I wish I hadn't had the time off. It was nice to rest but getting back to normal after the 2 weeks of it being all about IVF was very difficult (of course it didn't help that it was BFN but either way it was going to be tough) Stay strong and try to live your life as normally as you can.

I'm only going to take a day or two after FET, last time the ET was very uncomfy and I suffered with my foof a bit Blush

I'm so happy it all worked out for you in the end choco how exciting! Fingers crossed for you lady pants!

Since my post last night I was followed by a boy racer, he was nearly touching my bumper. He was going 20 miles an hour so I was just following behind when he pulled over. He then pulled over to the side of the road so I went round him. He then accelerated up behind me and tailed me across town so closely it was dangerous and was just beeping at me. Was scared shitless man!

MotorcycleMama · 22/07/2013 19:51

twinks what an awful day you've had. I'm glad you are back home and starting to feel a little better. Don't rule out work altogether, as it can help keep you sane if you have an understanding boss. I have had a couple of meltdowns at work (once in the 2ww, and once after my BFP) and I stuck with work but just did very non-demanding tasks on those days, after explaining to my understanding boss. I know that you would not normally want to share such personal information, but you have now explained your situation, so maybe they could put you onto 'light duties'? X

Well done choco. I've got my fingers crossed for you. X

nobeer · 22/07/2013 20:06

twinks glad you're feeling better. Your DH sounds lovely. It's so true what they say about this being a rollercoaster. I'm quite fortunate I'm on school hols at the mo, so have only had to take time off for going to scans or appointments.

wish Hope you're ok. Bloody idiot!

choco how are you feeling today?

twinklestar2 · 22/07/2013 20:07

My boss was lovely and said take as much time as I need. Not planning on going back this week, will work from home instead. I'm based in an office so as long as I have a computer I can work.

I'm thinking of ringing the clinic tomorrow and having a free counselling session. I think it will help.

Thats brill twinks. And the best solution in my eyes. Do you feel relieved?

Sorry for getting your employment confused, we do have a childcare worker here.

twinklestar2 · 22/07/2013 20:27

Thx fish. Feel so much better and relieved I don't have to paint on a smile. My boss has emailed me again tonight, it's very kind of him. It's ok about getting my job confused :)

Hello slags, it's moi: Juicy! No, I haven't been banned, I am becoming very Envy at the thought of red meat and decided it was time for a completely new look. Do you like it?

Now then, Flowers, would you like to explain what you mean when you say I've been 'all over the place causing trouble'? Hmmm? If you mean voicing my opinions on threads which cause umbrage for the RadFems then, yes, I guess you could call me a troublemaker. I've always been one to speak my mind and I enjoy a robust debate but I certainly don't set out to hurt or cause a brouhaha. Unfortunately it's super easy to do both when certain women jump on the bandwagon.

You've made it clear that you're not keen on my persona or the things I have to say, but I suggest you pm me with any specific irks you have, Flowers, as I'm not leaving this thread. I'll be here supporting all of the ladies on here who championed my own IVF journey and who I've grown to be exceptionally fond of.

[waves to all the slags] X

PramelaAnderson · 22/07/2013 20:35

Choco, I'm thrilled for you, I really am Thanks

Twinks, you need to be cool. Don't let anything take your focus away from your own journey. Prepare yourself mentally for bad news but keep the faith for great news. This is never over x

tametortie · 22/07/2013 20:51

When I make a birth announcement, im going to use an easel. I think its the way to go.

twinklestar2 · 22/07/2013 21:24

Glad you're back Pramela! Although don't agree with preparing myself for the worst. I don't think I'll cope if its bad news.

OP posts:
nobeer · 22/07/2013 21:32

tame I like your style. I'm just glad the nipper hasn't nicked my birthday (weds, if you're wondering).

Nice NC Prammy! The red one piece really suits you. Glad you're not going anywhere Smile.

Fabuluce · 22/07/2013 21:36

Dear god women - what a day it's been for everyone!

Twinks - so glad you've decided to take some time out and what a great idea it is to get that free counselling - I did that - I am a big believer in it and think it will help you. Agree with joos that you need to be prepared for the worse but then ignore it and jut keep on keeping those personal happy positive thoughts - go go embie :) I found it helpful last time to really concentrate each day on what it was supposed to be doing - embedding etc. I suspect you'll want more company in the second week and having an understanding boss will make things much easier.

Chocs - well done you for taking your last couple of work days sick - an excellent idea - there's just no need to have that extra stress.

Life - keep positive lovely - you're preggo - your little bean needs you to concentrate on heart thinking to help it grow one Smile

Brooker - totally with you on the royal baby bollox. Obviously am happy that they have a healthy baby but apart from that - just get over it press people!!!!!!!!!!!

Cups - day 5 of stims and all going well - ovaries are definitely making themselves known and am starting to get a creaking back which I take as a positive Smile how are you doing lovely?

Joos - welcome back you old slapper! Still chundering?

FlowersBlown · 22/07/2013 21:43

I have no issues with you or your persona at all juicy. I won't agree with everything you say. I don't agree with everything anyone says - I'm far too opinionated for that, and I will express my opinions.

The comment about you causing trouble was based on the amount of posts you have had deleted on various threads after you've been reported.

chocolocodowninacapulco · 22/07/2013 21:50

wim you're nearly there, well done Smile

Can I still call you juicy? Glad you're still around, how are you doing?

maybe DH and I are much closer now having gone through all the infertility shit, plus he is so much better at dealing with his emotions now than at the start and doesn't retreat into himself any more.

cups boo to the tough day at work, I don't remember any tight feelings during stimming, hopefully someone else can share experiences on this.

nobeer I'm feeling fine thanks, tired but I guess that's what you get when you do fuck all all day laze about and relax and are not working Wink. I went for acupuncture today and she said everything is feeling good, whatever that meansHmm. How's the heat with you?

wish that boy racer, what a nutter! Glad you're ok.

fab when do you have your first stims scan?

waves to everyone else . You ladies are so lufferly.

cups I def have tight feelings - started about day 4-5. My belly feels tight and huge (I could easily pass for pregnant - irony) and can't do up clothes, loose summer dresses are all I'm managing. How people manage who actually have the right size and more follicles I don't know!

Seriously can it get any hotter - our thermometer is still swaying 29. I was worried I wouldn't sleep with excitement/anxiety over ec - now I think it's just too hot. Really need the thunder here - I love a good storm, just please don't let there be travel chaos before I get to the clinic in the morning!! My DH and I have had a chat about whether they have a back up generator - who knew I would even think of such a daft thing! He's checked (sort of what he does for a living!) so that I can cross that one off the list. Am bonkers.
Stay cool ladies!

Fabuluce · 22/07/2013 22:01

First stims scan on Thursday - c'mon my little beauties - grow grow grow - I keep concentrating on round fat healthy follicles - concentwate....concentwate.....

tametortie · 22/07/2013 22:01

I can hold my own on a gardening thread.

Fabuluce · 22/07/2013 22:02

Amazingly having been the sweatiest type of sweaty Betty ever for the past few weeks this evening I'm actually ok....I'm not in bed yet trying to get to sleep tho so that all may change...

FlowersBlown · 22/07/2013 22:03

I've had a few good barneys on here but I've never been reported. And just reporting in itself does not lead to an automatic deletion.

I have absolutely no problem with people who express strong opinions. I understand that urge, but there is a point to reign it in, when it becomes personal.
