VJONES1985 we do tend to agree, but it is so hard when so many countries have different pronunciations and the name needs to fit in to all that... Hope I dont temp fate by discussion it with my DP tho :D

Hi all, congrats to all the recent BFPs great news!
According to my fertility friend today until Wed is my most fertile week making Thursday (or around that day) my ovulation day. I used Fertility Friend last month and there was no BFP so hesitant if this is actually correct? This will only be my second month of TTC so I'm still getting to know my cycle. how was everyone else figured out when they are ovulating? All suggestions welcome!

Got a positive OPK on cd20 (yesterday!)

Dtd on cd18 (pm) and cd20 twice (am and pm) Wink
But annoyed we didn't dtd on cd19 now but we were doing SMEP and that's how it worked out!

Today is cd21... So.. I'm guessing we should dtd again tonight? And for how much longer?!

Pinkhat - not getting a bfp last month doesn't necessarily mean your method is wrong; it just means you weren't lucky this time. I use POAS OPKs to chart my fertility and am learning to read my cervical mucus too.

Thanks for responding VJONES1985 it is hard to know whether you are doing the right thing or not?! I have considered using OPKs so I may give them a try.

Hi everyone, We also have talked about names, can agree with girls but not boys lol
I feel very sad this week, My fertile week is next week and my OH will be leaving the country this week probably for 8 weeks... gutted.

Yeah, once you understand the opks and cycles, they are helpful.

Pinkhat I would definitely recommend using OPKs. I came off the pill at the end of December last year but would only really consider this cycle my 3rd month of trying. The first few cycles we were dtd at the complete wrong time of the month and totally missed ovulation. Also my cycles still aren't really regular from coming off the pill so I can't really just assume when I'm going to ovulate cos I'm pretty much always wrong!
OPKs are really helping me! Smile
Also now starting to see how my CM changes in the days leading up to my positive OPK.

For those already thinking about names, you might find the piece in today's Evening Standard of interest - the most popular baby names in 2012. Slightly annoyed that two names I like are both in the top ten I didn't realise they were so popular! (FYI Amelia is top girls name and Harry top boys name)

Pinkhat- yes, they are really useful and give a good insight into your cycle and hormones and explaining any symptoms you may have at certain times of the month. We dtd every two days throughout the month except when I get a positive opk result and then we dtd every day for those three days.

I have had a sudden increase in jelly like cm this evening and I've never noticed it like this before. I feel very slippery too (lol)
Does this mean ovulation is imminent or what?! I'm unless with this Hmm

Pinkhat what about taking your BBT (basal body temperature)? It doesn't tell you when you're going to ovulate, but it does tell you once you have as you will see a sustained rise in temperature after ovulation. That way you can DDT every other day or so until you see the shift in temperature.

Gilly I reckon if I was you I'd try for tonight and then tomorrow if you can, but if not you should still have it covered I would think as the swimmers can hang around for a while.

I think I've got a bit more CM today and have some tummy pains which I'm hoping are ovulation pains ... although guess it could just be wind! Blush

Attempted to dtd twice tonight and both times DH couldn't quite make it.. So to speak... Arrgghh! Hmm

I think dtd twice yesterday has broken him! Grin

Very annoying as positive OPK yesterday probably means today would've been the good day to do it.

Although twice yesterday was excellent work really and probably just as good as doing it today.

Will try again in the morning! Grin

Morning all! 8dpo for me today so slowly limping towards test date. When would you all POAS? Going to try to hold out until AF is due but might crumble at 10 or 11dpo.

Hope you manage to dtd today gilly but I wouldn't worry too much about missing yesterday after twice the day before.

mama not sure if anyone else came back to you but the first day of proper bleeding/flow is CD1 not when you are spotting.

Also to the lady who had jelly-like cm... now is your time so if you haven't already GO GO GO!!! Grin

Monstamio I wish I could but dp is away til Friday as he in the forces.. Hoping that what we did Saturday and Sunday was enough.. Or that I'm gonna ovulate this weekend which was what I thought was gonna happen. Does the jelly like cm mean that I did ovulate or that I'm going to soon?

Hi all,

Do we have any upcoming POAS activity soon?
We need a few more BFPs. Wonder if people are on holiday this month as the bus seems far quieter than other months.

I'm a bit in limbo at the moment. I'm on CD18 and don't know if I've ovulated yet. Usually a CD12 O girl, but don't know how far the mc has put me back in my cycle. Managed to DTD CD9, 11, 12, 13 and 14, but now worried we stopped too early. We only stopped as we were knackered from a heavy weekend. Going to get back on it tonight and hopefully a few times this week in case I'm not too late.
Few background crampy pains today which could indicate ovulating, although today they are a general feeling whereas in the past they usually are localised to one side.

Feeling like this cycle is going to be so long as I don't know where I am in it.

impatientlywaiting I have my BFP hopefully Saturday :D But not sure I can test, because I have a friend coming over to stay for a week and she is arriving in the weekend... So I am in a dilemma now, not knowing what to do
