Anyone care to join me for this interminable length of waiting time?! I'm only 1 dpo! Brew

OP posts:
snoozysleeper · 05/08/2013 20:37

ginger I'm sure five times is enough if it's meant to be, I'm not even at the POAS stage yet so who knows what will happen

try hold off testing for a few more days and sending you lots of baby dust Flowers

nearlyanurse · 05/08/2013 20:52

Ladies, mind if I join you? Have been TTC for almost a year now, and am currently on CD24 of 30-32 (with the odd 40 day cycle, just to wreck my head). Live apart from mr nurse, so timing is hit and miss, depending on whether or not we're together.

BUT...had some spotting this morning, which I had totally written off until a lovely lady on another thread got me thinking it might be too early for AF spotting, so here I am, waiting. Again. Oh the joys.

On the upside, I haven't imagined any symptoms this month, unlike previous months, where I had every early preggers symptom going. So who knows. Am gonna try and hold off testing until at least 14th, but we'll see how that goes...

Gingerandcocoa · 05/08/2013 22:17

nurse, that sounds very promising!!! everytime i pee i secretly hope there will be some spotting lol!

hope this month is your lucky month!!!! maybe I will join you and not test until 14th (and hope AF doesn't show up before that)

nearlyanurse · 05/08/2013 22:21

Ginger, I'll commit to not testing until the 14th if you do it with me, shall we spit on it?

Gingerandcocoa · 05/08/2013 22:28

Yes I will commit to it!!

No POAS until 14th August!

nearlyanurse · 05/08/2013 22:36

will feel rotten when I cave before the 14th now Brilliant, I'm gonna have to deliberately put any tests I stumble across out in the car (I live 4 floors up in a flat - aint no way I'm going all the way down to the car prior to a pee), and avoid all shops between now and then!

PS, I currently have a head cold, so you might wanna go and wash your hands pronto. Just realised when I put my nurse head back on!

Gingerandcocoa · 06/08/2013 12:51

I've asked my husband to hide the OPKs and only let me test on the 14th... same as I do with the chocolates

Writerwannabe83 · 06/08/2013 13:06

Ginger - me and my hubby only DTD 3 over the space of a week during my fertile window and afterwards I was kicking myself because I felt like we hadn't done enough. However, we still got a BFP so hope is not lost!!!

It only takes one time after all.... Smile

Good luck to everyone x x

Gingerandcocoa · 06/08/2013 14:22

writer did you get any symptoms before your BFP???

Writerwannabe83 · 06/08/2013 16:01

I got my BFP on Saturday 20th July.

On the previous Monday when I was 7 dpo I felt absolutely exhausted. There was no reason for it at all and I was just drained of all energy. It lasted about 2 days and then completely went away. One of my colleagues joked that I might be pregnant but I laughed it off.

However, I noticed over the course of the week that I also seemed to be going the toilet all the time. I was having wee, after wee after wee. It was when this started happening that I began to wonder.

On the Friday night, the eve of my BFP my left boob felt very achey - but I thought it was because my bra was just digging in. I actually took a test that night as I knew my period was due at the weekend and it was BFN.

I took another test on Saturday morning with my first urine of the day and that came back as BFN too. However, at 4pm I tested again and got my BFP Grin

snoozysleeper · 06/08/2013 17:56

ooh congratulations writer I must have missed this Flowers

thank you for your story too, I will try not to use it to help me symptom spot!! Shock

Gingerandcocoa · 06/08/2013 20:00

I do kind of regret asking you, as I've now convinced myself I'm really tired or it could be just from working for 7 hours and studying for 3

ArkadyRose · 06/08/2013 20:19

Just leaving this here.... Grin

Peestick Paradise

Writerwannabe83 · 06/08/2013 21:08

TeaAndANatter · 06/08/2013 21:24

Wow. That lady is committed! I raise my sticks in a 21 stick salute.

Writerwannabe83 · 06/08/2013 21:33

Ever since getting my BFP I have taken about 12 further pregnancy tests just to make sure Grin including one this morning

I think I do it because I just love seeing that 2nd line appear because it takes me back to the first time I ever saw my BFP Grin

do I have mental health problems?

Gingerandcocoa · 06/08/2013 22:13

I'm definitely buying shares in those peestick manufacturers!!!

I'm glad DH hid the tests, I'm home alone tonight and after two episodes of one born every minute I really feel like POAS....

Writerwannabe83 · 06/08/2013 22:16

haha - I had a secret stash and still do Grin

nearlyanurse · 06/08/2013 23:15

Don't do it ginger, step away from the loo!!!

TeaAndANatter · 07/08/2013 09:56

Feeling grumpy this week. Moved from feeling very sad about the miscarriage to feeling sad mixed with episodes of displaced rage about the mc. Grump, grump, grump. Due to POAS 11/12th, but feeling like it's not going to happen. Grumpy, grump, grump. Buh!

Also feeling chunky monkey, so feel like I ought to reduce the ass-age, but love food very much (I'm size 10, but my thighs are making a bid for world domination this year). Grr.

2ww can go boil it's head. Why isn't there an unreasonably cross emoticon?!

Positivementakattitude · 07/08/2013 13:50

Tea and natter sorry to hear of your loss and yeh I know the feeling very grumpy as dreaded AF due and dreading the reminder of mc in July (last time had anywhere near AF)

Torture and days going so slow now typical need to try snap out of it but know when I see read ill either be an emotional mess or a dragon b*itch from hell !!! Not sure which I would prefer prob both knowing me

Wish there was an emoti to even show half what I feel right now men get easy but but then dealing with me I feel for him

Sending big hugs and smiles we will get through xxx

Positivementakattitude · 07/08/2013 13:52

See red not read sorry lol

snoozysleeper · 07/08/2013 18:28

I know more versatile emoticons would be good! Sending hugs to tea and positive Smile

Gingerandcocoa · 07/08/2013 19:20

positive and tea, hope you find ways to take your mind off of pregnancy related things (at least when you're not on MN!)

I went to a meeting for 1.5 hours today and didn't think of whether I'm pregnant or not not even once!!!
