Vjones you really do need to relax more about it hun. It's the first month. If you're not pregnant, so what? You're so early into ttc. I worry that stressing and symptom spotting this early could be detrimental, if, like many many couples, it takes a while. Plan to do lots over the next couple of weeks to keep yourself busy. There is very little point trying to poas until at least 12 dpo as implantation can take up to 12 days anyway. Just chill

I agree it's not worth stressing every woman is different so it's not good comparing yourself to others. You sound as though you have a nice few days planned though :) we are having a whole date day tomorrow starting with breakfast out at a yummy deli! X

MrsB, I'm with you on the opks. If everyone says it can take up to a year for healthy couples in their 20s/early 30s, then I'm not going to worry about forcing anything before then, and I really don't want to get into the habit of thinking sex = only for babies, only at the right time.

I think my husband is unfortunately starting to worry about his little guys, though, even though it's only been 3 months.

wispa I think you are right imagine the stress it must cause for a man but they can't really talk about it to anyone.
Im trying for no3 with a big age gap so i didnt really use the internet much 8 years ago and just got on with dtd whenever. But now you can google eveything and it turns us into nutters! I think having the Internet is good but it can give people way too much information which just makes us all paranoid me included!

These last few days coming on mumsnet I've started having pregnancy dreams!! It's like how I was in the days before my wedding, but now it's the days before I'm expecting AF. Hopefully I'm able to switch off if it didn't happen this month and only switch back on with a couple days to go next month, I don't think I could be this obsessed with eggs and sperm and dpo and everything all the time.

Had a dream last night that I did a hpt and it was positive. It also told me that we were having a boy! Did some symptom spotting last night too - felt sick, hot and 'fluttery' down there!

hi everyone!! hi VJones.....still stressing?? i hope not..its stressful this ttc business though eh! i'm 7 days past ov .. i have cramps but think its my urine infection (UTI) and that's about i,. as i generally feel really odd down there..it feels like its on fire and constantly bloated and full with crampy pain , plus i'm constipated as hell (TMI-SORRY LADIES) ..the doc gave me pills for my UTI that you should NEVER take when ttc or pregnant, my GP knows what i'm going through as she was referring me for tests the same day...didnt know until i took them but apparently they can do harm so i'm def out this month!!!!...didnt think to check as assumed she'd give me something thats ok if you're TTC. bloody stupid doc..anyway, had my progesterone day 21 tests today ...find out next week if i'm abnormal or not!!!!...i'm worried....i know in my heart of hearts theres a problem... i'm scared stiff.....anyway my af is due in 7 -8 days ... so who will be testing first ??? ...i'm not bothering this month as i know i'm out..... i do hope at least one of us has some luck !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! baby dust to you all xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi everyone! Still full up from my delicious breakfast which makes a change as since coming off the pill I've not stopped eating! Had a terrible sharp pain low down below my belly button earlier so much it stopped me in my tracks, not sure if its anything significant but thought I'd share! I've absolutely no idea how many dpo I am, could be 6 if I count it from my first Ewcm but really not sure! Nearly time for the long weekend :) :)

Hi everyone! Bit more chilled today. The way I'm dealing with it is by telling myself it's not gonna be my month this month!

Also, this is the first day since coming off the pill (3/4 dpo) that I feel 'normal'. Obviously a good thing but also means I don't 'feel' pregnant :(

In other news, I went shopping today and bought a woollen shawl thing, a dress, a bra and, err, a chocolate cake!

Actually I spoke too soon I'm now ravenously hungry! Might go out for tea :)

Nulanoo - I've been eating like a pig since stopping the pill, too! And I'm the same regarding dpo - I had three days of ewcm so could be three, four or five dpo!

VJONES... you're first time trying is only very early so i'm glad you are more chilled... it does happen though ...some people and hopefully you are one who...wham bam it works like magic straight away... did i ask you if you have a child already?? do any of you?? ... thats a great indication that you're in working order...my pal whos my age had unprotected sex ALL THE TIME as a late teen and early 20's (most fertile time) and never got preggers... think it depends on each person... everyone else except one has been fine , may have taken a few months or over a year but they all got there. i had a booklet come through from the lwc in harley street on IVF, IUI and ICSI ...didn't realise there was so many things!!! ... to get a lot of the preliminary tests just to see if everything works and what your ovarian reserve is not that expensive and can be done in a matter of a couple of weeks...i've been waiting 8 months on nhs - where they lost my tests 3 times and they can only do the basic ones, i'd need a referral and a waiting list for the rest... what a waste of time... to be honest,,,if i had a million squid i'd pay it now to know everything is ok , so after i get these basics back from nhs next week im booking a consultation at the lwc in london... will lt you know how it [email protected] , they put you on their mailing list and and you magazines with success stories and ALL the info you need to know about EVERYTHING!!!!................................... anyway NULANOO...implant pains are normally middle of stomach not to one side -like you said below belly button.....oooohhhh fingers crossed for you!!!!...i've been hungry too today i ate , x 5 today - well 5 krispy kreme...what a fatty!!!!.......anyway it was my birthday this week when i felt like crap so i'm off out for a or ... i shall have one for you all...REFOCA, TEA1SUGAR, NULANOO, WISPAXMAS, ELR, BUSHPRINCESS and not forgetting my ol' VJONESY!, ...... have a smashing bankhol weekend... ..next week will be testing time ..towards the end of the week so hope you all take your minds off it amd enjoy yourself...all this stress you deserve it!!!! bighugs and baby dust to you all. xxxxxxxxxx , ,.

Yep,I'll be testing at the end of next week :) No children already for me, which adds to the worry but am sure it'll be fine. Chin chin!!

layla thanks for having a wine for me, and good luck with all your tests. I've got two children already youngest is nearly 8 so the gap will be bigger this time and I'm 11 years older!
I've had light cramps on and off since yesterday and think I detected a little pinkish blood when I went to the loo earlier but not sure. I am not due on for another 5 days or so, could be an implantation bleed but prob not! I had light spotting for about 4 days in June and then came on as normal wasn't ttc then so not getting my hopes up.

ELR that sounds so promising.... fingers crossed.... i'll check in after bank hol to see how you all are doing ....xxxx

Sounds lovely Nalanoo. He (f.w.b) took me for an all you can eat tonight and he bought me a dress bag and shoes. I don't know where that came from but I'm not complaining and when we got home(about 7.00) we had a few hours of doing T.D, so I've also had a brilliant day. xxx

I have peed on my lovely Boots own brand test and have a BFP! Am grinning like a nutter.
A faint line, but we're both sure it's a line.

Thank you for keeping me company, now I just have to figure out which bus to hop on!

Not sure what's happening with me maybe the tiny amount of pinkish blood yesterday was AF on the way! I woke up this morning about 4am with a vice like headache and increased temp which is what usually happens the day I start af but not due for another 5 days so really don't know!
How is everyone else doing?
