I'm desperate to test! But really trying to hold off until Saturday when I'm due on.

I would hate for it to be negative now but still holdin out hope that it was just too early to tell and then having to wait a few more days.

What would you do?! I'm on the verge of running out the the chemist now!

Oh I have no idea! What did they say when they gave you the shot? Can it give false positives?

Sorry, I have no idea about the shot either. Can you google it for other stories??

Bambi, my no.2 took 12 months, I know how hard it is. No 1 happened quickly too so it is such a shock to the system. It WILL happen for you and as much as I HATE saying it you just have to be patient Sad
Cycle 1 now for no.3 - never thought we'd be going for a third but here I am Hmm

They didn't say anything about it at the hospital but I'm really new to the whole fertility assistance thing! Only had one round of clomid with a trigger shot to kick start ovulation. Looked online and there's a lot of conflicting information. Some people say it's out of your system after two or three days, others say two weeks!

Oh you poor thing gatsby79, was it a strong or a faint line? Wow I really hope it is a genuine positive.

Report
gatsby79 · 18/06/2013 11:04

Strong line! And it showed up immediately. I did a cheap Boots test on Sunday (I have no idea why, too early to prove anything) and it came back negative.

If it was negative Sunday and positive now I would say its a bfp?? No? I don't want to get your hopes up but sounds promising!! :)

And thanks I know I just need to be patient! Really hard! I'm always okay until it gets to end of the tww!!

I would be very hopeful if the boots test came up negative! Can you ring the clinic who treated you, they might know if it should be out of your system or not for sure?

Bambi27 · 18/06/2013 11:08

I would second that! Ring up and see!!! X

Just gave the clinic a call and they said to be cautiously optimistic but to test again at the weekend! How will I manage to wait until then!?! I should never have tested this early!

Report
Bambi27 · 18/06/2013 11:18

Oh that's an annoying answer!! It sounds like they think its a positive tho Grin

Report
2lilgirls · 18/06/2013 11:21

Ah it seems like they are pretty certain it's a positive but can't commit to giving you that answer so are just being cautious.

Dare I say.... Congratulations???? Grin

and I thought our 2ww's were hard Hmm X

I agree I think they have to cover their back but seems positive

I'm obviously going to test again before the weekend! I couldn't even last until the day my period was due! I'll test tomorrow with a cheap Boots number - if it's only the trigger shot the tests should get progressively fainter. If I'm actually in the club they should stay strong.

Hope so, I promised myself I wouldn't get obsessed but it's slowly creeping in. It's impossible not to isn't it :-/

I managed 7 months of no opks and this is first month of using them. I feel it has made it worse but feel I need to do something as can't take many more months!!!

Report
2lilgirls · 18/06/2013 12:38

I'm only month 1 but I had to use them as cycles can be irregular. Didn't get a + til cd 18. Hopefully you won't be waiting much longer.

If it's any help when I finally did get pg on no.2 I really really enjoyed the pregnancy, I think nearly every day of it I was so grateful for being pregnant, I never complained once. The fact that I had to wait so long made having it extra special, not to mention when she arrived. Grin
Stay positive xx

Just to update anyone who is interested, I just did a cheap Boots test and got a faint positive. It's the same kind of test I did on Sunday when I got a negative so it's looking hopeful!

Awh Congratulations gatsby79, you can finally believe it now. Enjoy the high xx

I'm gutted! Stupidly did one and for a negative. I was so convinced! Well... I am still 5 days early and am having so many symptoms... Somehow I'm still convinced!
