Thanks BartBaby and CristaBell! Here's hoping. DH was n the mood last night...kind of like last chance saloon...lol we will see what happens. I have already been having imaginary symptoms lol, namely a really watery mouth and just a feeling of queasiness. I know these are in my head but hey gives me a completely false sense of hope :)
BartBaby Not sure when I will test, i thnk AF is due 2nd/3rd June so ideally will wait until then, however, I have a girls night on 1st and a communion on 2nd, where copious amounts of gin and cava could easily be consumed so I will probably start testing on Friday 31st...who am I kidding, I'll probably do tests from this week but just pretend that I haven't...I need to get a grip :)

LittleMachine · 22/05/2013 08:46

Thatssofunny good luck with smiley face shagging tonight!

CD7 here. Boring.

FoxMulder · 22/05/2013 08:47

I've had no signs of ov up until yesterday, cd 21! (or possibly 20 depending on when you count from - AF creeps in slowly over a couple of days, doesn't just arrive like the flood gates have opened). It's rather annoying, I'm quite keen to give up shagging now Grin

AF due on 2nd so I might test on the 1st as it is my birthday so can indulge in prosecco and pate and funny forrin cheese.

Also, can I check - I thought I had a 31 day cycle, ie period on 1st April, next one on 2nd May, next on 2nd June, but when I put this in the mumsnet ovulation calculator it tells me next AF is 1st June. Eh? That doesn't make sense. Isn't that counting the last day twice? (as the last day of one cycle and the first of the next). I need to get a smartphone so I can download these fun sounding apps [sad git emoticon]

SomeDizzyWhore1804 · 22/05/2013 11:13

Well this is the beginning of my 2ww and I feel like I am already getting periody symptoms, weird cramping and a headache, really knackered....

....I fear this cannot be a good sign and am wondering what the hell I can do to encourage conception. I'm taking B vitamin suppliments and trying to rest. Come on Baby Dizzy, please be in there!! Grin

ZolaBuddleia · 22/05/2013 11:17

Think I may to bit the bullet and get an OPK even though they're of limited use for PCOS sufferers. I had a tiny bit of EWCM this month, and nothing since.

barebranches · 22/05/2013 18:08

sticks arrived... one peed on within 10 mins. why when i knew it was going to be a bfp... im only 4 dpo!!!

barebranches · 22/05/2013 20:18

oh god cant stop eating chocolate... is this a symptom?

ScienceGeekGirl · 22/05/2013 20:41

bare unfortunately I think it just proves your female.

Solaia · 22/05/2013 21:15

Oh well, AF arrived today... On to cycle 17. I'm in my twenties, fit and healthy - it's not meant to be like this! Sad

In the nicest possible way, I hope I won't see you on the next bus!

Gillster · 22/05/2013 21:28

Solaia have you been to your GP yet? Sorry AF has got you yet again Flowers

heidihole · 22/05/2013 22:16

Sorry to hear that Solaia. Has your DH had his sperm checked/counted/whatever the lingo is? I think it must be time to see the GP by the time you're on cycle 17 especially at your age. Good luck.

CristaBell · 22/05/2013 23:24

Sorry to hear that Solaia Flowers X

Hello Ladies, I've managed to log on in my lunch break today :) rather then 11.30 at night!!

It's CD8 for me to day so start of SMEP :)

Hope everyone is having a good day. x

gillywillywoo · 23/05/2013 17:59

Hi christabell! Smile

Cd13 for me today... Couldn't start SMEP on cd8 as we were staying with family (thin walls! Haha) so started on cd10.

Been using OPKs since cd8 though and no smiley face yet... My cycles have all been around 30 days since coming off the pill in December but my last cycle was 47 days! Hope that was just a one off!

Previous to last months 47 day cycle, I think I was ovulating around cd17-19. All my apps suggest next week is my fertile week...wondering when I will get a smiley face on my OPK!

Excuse me ladies, is that a spare seat I see?
I come bearing Wine but secretly hoping everyone else is upduffed so can't have any
I'm feeling a little glum after getting kicked off the may bus at only cd22!
I was determined to ttc au naturell as I can be a little obsessive but am now starting to get a bit worried obsessive and wonder of a bit of opk action might not be a bad idea.

My average cycle is 24 days but range between 22 and 28 (mostly 23/24) and I'm starting to worry that there isn't enough time for everything to happen iyswim. My dd's were conceived by 'accident' but that was 10-15 years ago and I'm now 35 so things have changed somewhat.
Should I be worried this early on? Any advice on the test situation?
My stats are Fairypants ttc#3 cycle 3 BFP due 16th June

BartBaby · 23/05/2013 19:17

Hi fairypants Smile

Im on cycle 2 so far and have used opk's both months. Mainly as im a bit lot obsessive! But also to give me an idea of when things are happening in there. Ive used the asda ones, and the cheapy ones off amazon. They're bery similar and were both accurate. I got a few days of no lines and faint lines. Then a darker line meaning positive. If you have a shorter cycle it might be worth giving them a go to see when you are ov and to see if there is enough time afterwards for everything to happen.

Im hoping that a few months of using the opk's will give me an idea of what my cycle is doing and then stop using them, although i doubt i will actually be able to! Lol.

How is everyone else doing? Im 3dpo so waiting impatiently patiently and counting down the days until i can poas

Xx

April13 · 23/05/2013 19:55

Ok before i start I'll give you all a TMI/mingingness alert! I'm on day 5 of DPO and am wondering if I have a completely imaginary symptom. I noticed today that I seem to have some white/cream CM. not an excess, but visible on my pants. Now, I can't don't want to remember if I have seen this before. Is this normal (as normal as normal is anyway!) or am I on the wishful thinking come symptom creating spotting?
Thanks ladies x

barebranches · 23/05/2013 21:15

hi april
i have the same and im also 5dpo... i thought it was non fertile mucus? could be wrong and we're both up duffed!!!Grin

April13 · 23/05/2013 22:28

Barebranches it's amazing what you can turn into a sign of pregnancy when your nuts, mental, deluded, desperate waiting :)

CristaBell · 23/05/2013 23:20

Hi Gillywillywoo, good luck with the smep, it will be interesting to see if it works for us both! I did do a OPK today but they are only cheapie ones, it was my first time using them so got a bit excited and didn't read the instructions probably!!! The result was negative but when I looked at it about an hour later it had a second faint line but I think that might be an error!! Could I really be ov on cd8? My cycles have always been 28 days. I'm away this weekend so it does mess up my smep a little too!

Good luck to everyone :) x

Fairypants · 24/05/2013 00:12

Thanks Bartbaby, I've just had a long discussion with DH and decided to have a go with the opk's. as you say, it's the best way to know what's going on.
We've also decided, if we're doing tests, we might as well go the whole hog and do the smep. I really don't want to turn dtd into a planned event but, at least this way there is a specific end- after which we can relax and just do it fun.
It feels better to have a plan anyway.

gillywillywoo · 24/05/2013 07:29

Cristabell - the OPKs that have lines will pretty much always show 2 lines! Well... Mine do! Grin

I always see the control line (obviously) and then the test line ranges from nothing to very dark (and everything in between) for the whole cycle. I can't get on with OPKs like that anymore because I end up spending too much find comparing the lines and lining them all up trying to work out what it means!

I've decided to spend the extra money and use clearblue digital OPKs. It's either a yes or no... There's no line deciphering to do! I feel more in control this way!!

Testing once a day, getting my result, and carrying on with SMEP either way Smile
