We are Barren. We are Evil, on account of having left procreating until our 30s. We are Selfish, thinking only of careers and money and cars and holidays. And lastly, we are Hags. Welcome to the BESH gin palace. Babydusters and instadiffers need not apply.

Good luck cappy! :)

Nokkie73 · 14/05/2013 08:09

Good luck cap'n. Bye bye lumperbastard. X

TWinklyLittleStar · 14/05/2013 08:43

Good luck for today cap'n, and merk I hope you've got a doctors appointment, if you're weeing blood that's pretty bad & they might want to give you drucks.

evilgiraffe · 14/05/2013 09:04

Good luck, Cap! I'm sure everything will be fine :)

Just drink lots, Merk. It's fucking miserable while it lasts, though :(

HesterShaw · 14/05/2013 09:52

Good luck old thing.

Loads of water. If you don't have the sachets, bicarb of soda to turn your pee more alkaline (be warned, I tried this once and went a bit overboard and thereby discoved that this has a laxative effect....). It did the trick though, but did entail a lot of time in the loo from the peeing and the rest...

Good luck moll!

HesterShaw · 14/05/2013 11:54

I have my second lot of drucks.

More stabbing - hooray Hmm

OP posts:
EuroShaggleton · 14/05/2013 12:08

Erm, enjoy?

TWinklyLittleStar · 14/05/2013 12:53

When do you start? Good luck.

BarbiesBeaver · 14/05/2013 15:20

Good luck old thing.

CaptainMoll · 14/05/2013 15:22

Urrrrrgh groggy moll here.
So came round panick-attacking again, now just sleepy and gently ouchy. Whatever the anaesthetist tried didn't work Confused
Lumperdinck is a monster apparently - too big to remove as I'd not given permission for hysterectomy, and the risk of serious bleeding leading to need for hysterectomy was too great.
Right tube all clear, left one mostly ok but possibly a little blocked at the ovary end. I have a couple of options now - a course of drugs to suppress OV for 4-6 weeks which will help shrink Lumperdinck sufficiently for safer surgery. Or, my suggestion to Dr, is that since the fibroid is not affecting chances of conception, to carry on ttc and deal with it later if ttc is successful, hence making potential hysterectomy less of a massive trauma.

Gynaes assistant pre-op was a massive dick - the look of scorn on her face when I said I didn't give the hysterectomy permission was just plain rude. Gynae himself was clearly a bit pissed off but explained it all carefully, and when he could see I wasn't convinced, he ripped up the form in front of me and rewrote it there and then. He's been really nice since. He showed me lots of photos of my innards, which was oddly fascinating.

They're now going to look at progesterone levels properly and explore that route for why no baybee.

I want a massive gin plz.
Over and out.

CaptainMoll · 14/05/2013 15:23

Good lu ck with the stabbing, hesty.

evilgiraffe · 14/05/2013 15:29

At least it's over now? And the gynae assistant needs a lesson or two in manners, never mind beside manner! Stupid cow.

The photos sound fab though :)

TWinklyLittleStar · 14/05/2013 16:22

That's a helluva day cap'n. So the Lumperdinck saga continues. The gynae assistant needs a smack, a hysterectomy is a huge deal even for women who feel that their family's complete. Will you be getting home today?

I am very nearly Better from my chest infection. Even though I have a cough that is still keeping me awake at night, I know I am nearly better because I am finally bored and want to go outside.

EuroShaggleton · 14/05/2013 17:02

Bloody hell, moll that sounds like quite a day! You must be glad you were very particular about what you did and did not consent to. The gynae's assistant sounds awful. How could she not understand what a big deal something like that would be for any woman, let alone one who has not had a family yet? When can you go home?

I've had my stitches out today. The wound doesn't look great, tbh, but is covered up again now. I just have to keep telling myself that it should only improve from this point.

Tis quite a day for the BESH lumps and bumps.

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 14/05/2013 17:18

Blimey Cap, that's a rough old day! Hope you are holding up ok.

When does the stabbing commence Hesty? I start my droid-enducing pills tomorrow so if all goes according to plan I will start stabbing again around 3rd June-ish.

HesterShaw · 14/05/2013 17:22

Good God, Moll, what a day. Big (((((fish slaps)))))

OP posts:
CaptainMoll · 14/05/2013 17:40

Thanks beshes. Feeling a bit sore now - anaesthetics wearing off.
The expression the cow wore was very much a mixture of "you silly child, doctor knows best" and "oh for fucks sake, ruining the paperwork with your nonsense".

I've been opposite a laughing boss-eyed crazy lady for about 5 hours now. She keeps trying to play pat-a-cake with herself. No euphemism intended.

BE has been moving home in a literal boaty sense all day so he's not here yet. I want to go home now.Hmm

I find good old savlon really helps cuts heal nice and cleanly with less scarring, Euro. Might be worth a go?

EuroShaggleton · 14/05/2013 18:04

Moll have they given you painkillers? Surely the only point of being in hozz can be access to the good drugs. Maybe steal some from the lady opposite. She sounds like she might have too many.

Can you go when BE gets there?

Thank you for the advice when you have so much more going on than my headbump! The nurse said that the act of rubbing something into it matters more than the product, so I might give that a go. I have silicone gel stuff too. It has micropore over it to splint it for a few more days yet though.

HadALittleFaithBaby · 14/05/2013 18:44

Crikey Moll I'm glad you were firm about your choices going in. Make sure you take plenty of painkillers regularly the next few days. Worry about your choices later.

euro if I were you I'd get something with silver in. Brilliant at healing wounds. Not cheap but we use it in hospital so it's evidence based.

Happy stabbing hesty.

HesterShaw · 14/05/2013 18:46

Stabbing won't be for a bit. Need to see if I have had an ironidiff first

We seem to be having a hellish storm. Anyone else?

OP posts:
TWinklyLittleStar · 14/05/2013 19:34

It's about as stormy as norf London/west Essex gets, ie rainy and windy but not enough to worry about the chimneys.

TWinklyLittleStar · 14/05/2013 19:47

frank I'm settling down to watch Sherlock on your recommendation, better be good! Wink

evilgiraffe · 14/05/2013 19:59

Enjoy, Twink! It's SUPERB Grin

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 14/05/2013 20:01

Twinks you will luff it. Regardless of what you think about the Cumberbatch's looks, he is a sublime actor, as are the other stars. I hope you are starting with A Study in Pink.
