Halle Berry Pregnant at 46!!

The DM is reporting that HB is pregnant at 46! This is excellent news for us old uns trying to do the same. I'm sick of reading about how difficult it is over 40, how dangerous it is/high risk, how selfish it is, bla bla bla negativity. Congratulations Halle, wishing you a joyous pregnancy and healthy baby. This gives me hope and inspiration....it's not over for me yet..... :-)

My friend had her twin boys 2 1/2 months before she turned 50, everyone's thriving and the twins are about to turn 1. It's a joy to behold Grin

A friend of mine has just had a son at the age of 47 after years of trying to conceive.
My cousin is 45 and expecting her third child.
My GP is 48 and expecting her second child.
It is much more common than one would think.
To all those over the age of 40 who are trying to conceive, never give up hope.

It is very difficult to get pregnant at 46, most of the older celebs have had donor eggs. However good luck to them!

yes i did wonder if the eggs were donated but she has the means for the very best fertility treatment.

I had my last baby at 44. Pregnancy no harder than when I was 17.
The night feeds however are a different story but I guess Halle won't worry about that.
I also went from having a fab figure (after four) to looking like the fat controller Sad
Let's hope that doesn't happen to her or its bye bye bikini shots ha ha

I conceived naturally at age 42 and 44.

It was not uncommon for women of my mum's generation to fall pregnant in their 40's (though these tended to be last babies rather than first).

Just what I needed to hear. I am 46 and ttc. I had my last bubba at almost 42, but have had three miscarriages since. I'd love to know if Halle Berry had Assisted reproduction? It is likely I think, but I'm still chuffed for her and all us oldies who do have babies in our forties. It is possible.Grin

I had my first (and last) at 42.5 I had te easiest pregnancy and birth of anyone I know, however, the next 12 years have been much harder! Good on you Halle !

Lighthousekeeping yes Oliver Martinez is Kyslie's ex.
Apparently she is not very happy as he was not keen on settling down with her and she is another one for whom the bio clock is ticking loudly. Although in interviews, she always sound very philosophical about it...

I had dd at 42. There was a thread on here today about people thinking their parents were looking older. One was talking about her dad at 53 and another at 55, and how frail and old they were looking!

Not sure where that leaves me at 49 ( I would love to be frail looking, but am nearer the Fat Contoller analogy I fear)

I don't for a minute think that Halle has had any help in conceiving. She was 42 when she had her first. She looks amazing.
