Newbies very welcome provided they meet the entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 3+months, must have a special pot, NO instadiffers) and bring a bouquet of sausages when they join!

Hello all! Am on phone so can't easily read everything I've missed! Just wanted to say hi as I've been AWOL due to parents' evenings and shag week clashing. Work, food, sex, sleep has pretty much been my week! Away this weekend without dh so it's a good job all the sex is done!

CatsCantFlyFast · 28/03/2013 19:55

Evening all! Only read the last couple of posts as in rapid turnaround from work to pub but I would say OBEM is a worthwhile watch, despite being very very sad it was sensitively filmed and helps remind you that this is only a tiny bit of the battle and there are other, much more horrible situations people face. I thought they were incredibly strong and he was simply inspiring. Cried my eyes out but don't let that put you off. Really wish them luck in the future
Anyway on that note I'm off to slam some dinner in then out for wine. Horrific week, have to work a few hours every day this weekend (9am teleconference in the morn!) so off to throw caution to the wind! Also this weekend am determined to do 2 million sit ups... Since the wedding I have grown a tummy (obvious as I'm a tall, thin size 8/10) which needs banishing. I am positive this wont happen as I am v lazy but let's keep pretending for now!

And re OPKs the line should be as dark as the control BUT there are exceptions to every rule and I'm one. Honestly stick your OPKs to a piece of paper for a month and compare it to your temps at the end of the month. Your temps will tell you when you Od and you will then know what your O OPK looks like! That's how I learnt

Evening ladies.
HOLIDAY. Off work for a couple of weeks now.
We won't move on the 5th now, may be the 12th but not sure about that. AF is still here and I'm bored of her now.

Welcome Peanut.

Tallyra · 28/03/2013 21:10

hi all. Yay for Holiday!! Been working hard getting stuff printed for prize giving, which was this afternoon so no checking mn at work the last few days.
Been to yoga so I'm feeling a bit more relaxed than I have for a while - didn't get there last week as the dog sliced his foot open.

Welcome peanut, nice to meet you. I'm another one that can't be bothered with mc threads, its either too depressing and everyone is unhappy or they get diffed.

I'm still waiting for opk and EWCM this month, on cd16 today, but had a huge temp jump today.

Pipbin · 28/03/2013 21:50

It's my birthday in a couple of weeks and I have no idea what to do. Not sure I can really be bothered with it to be honest.

EasterBunnyGirlie · 28/03/2013 22:02

Evening all! How are we today?

4 day weekend yay!!! (yes I know you teachers have more days off!!!)

Spent the afternoon with my friend and her 3month old, just gorgeous! They just turn yummy at that age! Ugh it made my womb ache, I want one!!!

Tallyra · 29/03/2013 09:28

I guess everyone's busy this weekend then? I'll just roll around on the sofa of pity naked and look cute...
I'm just about to sort out dh's bike helmet to go out in the stupid rain/snow stuff we have today, then walk the dog in it. I will then be returning to the sofa to light a fire and watch TV for the rest of the day.

barkingtreefrog · 29/03/2013 09:29

pipbin I'm usually a huge fan of birthdays, I make a huge fuss when it's DPs and I always make cakes for friend's birthdays and organised a massive weekend away party for a mate's 30th last year. Just not feeling the love this year. Maybe because being a year older never mattered before but now I'm struggling ttc it suddenly feels like time is ticking away in a way it never has done before. I got a shock when I realised a colleague of mine that I'd always thought of as the same age (married last year, wants to start a family) talked about turning 30 this year Shock . And another two colleagues then started talking about wanting to get married and start the family thing. They're 27 and 25. I suddenly felt old Sad . But not as old as I felt when I went out last night (first time in years I've been 'out' beyond a comfy seat in the pub) and there were children in the bar. I swear they couldn't have been 18. They looked 16. Then I realised I was probably twice their age. I think the evening went downhill from there.

barkingtreefrog · 29/03/2013 09:42

Hello Tallyra
I have woken up in a spectacularly bad mood so am staying in bed while DP walks the dog. I'm p1ssed off at myself for drinking last night when I'd intended to be a good girl as I've stayed off the booze so long. Then I'm p1ssed off at myself for beating myself up because I only had 2 small (like old fashioned small as it was bring your own, not what pubs now deem 'small') glasses of wine with a meal then a rum and coke which DP drank most of anyway. Given we were out from 7-1am I think I did well. But mostly I'm p1ssed off because I hate wasting days, and I'm feeling rough, and had nicer plans for today than just packing and lounging around, which is all I feel like now.

But hey, I'm on holiday!!

Grin Grin

Considering a holiday from opks and temping for this month. I think I deserve a break from the 7am thermometer alarm, and I'm not PIMPing in campsite toilets anyway. I think I was going a little crazy with it last month so it would be good to have a break then go to the fertility clinic with a little less craziness in my eyes.

barkingtreefrog · 29/03/2013 10:50

DP made pancakes. World seems a better place now Smile .

Seeing as I'm on the sofa on my own, anyone mind if I bring my duvet and the dog?
.

CharmingCats · 29/03/2013 10:59

Hello! I'm here with my cat and slanket. Hopefully the animals will get along. Yay for the pancakes and dps who make them. DH has just gone out to get bread for egg & soldiers. My fave!
barking, enjoy your holiday. I think a break from pimping etc would be good, especially on a campsite. We had several vomiters at school last week, so am hoping that I haven't caught anything for the 2ww hols.
pip, it's my birthday in 2 weeks, too. 13th. When's yours? Totally agree about not being fussed anymore. I'll be 32. I'm sure my parents will try and force themselves upon me, but I'm not up for that at all.

CharmingCats · 29/03/2013 11:01

I'm on the hunt for new skincare, job and clothes today. Wish me luck!

barkingtreefrog · 29/03/2013 11:22

I am fed up with my wardrobe cats but have no idea about clothes and always revert to jeans and hoodies. Would love to look stylishly casual but I have no idea how, hate clothes shopping, and begrudge spending money on things I don't need.
So not much hope for me improving my wardrobe anytime soon really!

Tallyra · 29/03/2013 15:06

ditto barking, I either wear work clothes, jeans or dog walking stuff. I'd love to have a style makeover but it'd have to come with an entirely new wardrobe as well.
I've gone up 2 dress sizes since my first mc (I blame the steroids) so I can't wear any of my nice things any more.

Pipbin · 29/03/2013 15:33

My birthday is the 8th.
Not sure what to do at all. I'll be 38 FFS.

As for skincare Cats I went to Lush last month when AF brought some sodding huge spots with her. I got some Herbology face scrub and this time, no spots!

Pipbin · 29/03/2013 15:35

I lied, it's called Herbalism: www.lush.co.uk/product/200/Herbalism-Solid-Cleanser

Frogcatcher · 29/03/2013 15:53

Afternoon all

DP at work so have been to the gym. Used the sauna & spa despite being in the 2ww as am relying on law of sod to then make me feel bad about that & the load of booze I drank last night when I get my BFP which just shows how confident I am I'll get it this month

I am actually quite into my clothes but catch myself doing mental things now like not buying a new pair of skinny jeans as they wouldn't fit when I'm pg or keeping stuff that is too big now for when I'm pg. Am I alone in this lunatic behaviour?

barkingtreefrog · 29/03/2013 16:14

Thanks for that link pipbin might give it a go why not pour yet more money down the drain in my search for clearer skin . I saw the dermatologist recently and she prescribed two creams but they've just torn my face apart and it's so dry and leathery now that opening my mouth to eat is very painful and I have to carry a little pot of nivea to constantly apply just so I can open my mouth without feeling like I'm tearing my face open. Lovely! Can't imagine all the moisturiser is doing my skin any favours so have quit using the cream but 5 days later I'm still battling the dryness. .

frog . Oh no, not on your own there by any means. I caught myself yesterday turned side on to the mirror pulling my dress out to see how much of a bump would fit into it. I have a mental list of the clothes that will still fit when I have my own lovely bump.

EasterBunnyGirlie · 29/03/2013 16:18

Hellooooooooooooooo had a busy busy day making/filling macaroons so now settling down for a cuppa and some of my goodies with some drugs as got banging headache for second day running!

Frogcatcher · 29/03/2013 16:23

Ooooh macaroons bunny! Pls chuck me one this way through the ether. You are way too domesticated & will be the kind of mother that bakes birthday cakes & I will hate as you will make me feel guilty as I frantically pick one up from M & S between client meetings!

Frogcatcher · 29/03/2013 16:28

Barking sounds like that cream was just too harsh for your skin. My skin got better when I stopped using all the stuff in Boots that was designed for spot-prone skin & which used to strip the top layers of skin off! & just used the gentlest stuff I could find whilst the oil levels got back to normal again. I was basically just irritating the hell out of it. Pip's Lush recommendation probably worth a try though cos it will have no harsh chemicals to irritate. They do say that you need to use any new product for at least month too in order for it to take effect.

Frogcatcher · 29/03/2013 16:35

I love Liz Earle products too which are really natural (though quite expensive)
uk.lizearle.com/skincare (& also in John Lewis) and the more obscure Green People. Both of them do starter & trial sizes so you can try stuff out without wasting money on a large size. I used to steer clear of anything oily but have recently discovered that both the Liz Earle & Green People facial oils are amazing & don't make my skin greasy at all. Especially given heating has been on so much & it's been so harsh outside too.

BookTart · 29/03/2013 16:46

Another rec for Liz Earle here, lovely stuff. I also do the pg clothes thing Blush

Hello all, room for me and my 3 cats? The little one has suddenly turned a bit bitey and scratchy, but I'm sure she's a little bitch she's just showing how much she wuvs me.

There has already been chocolate and wine here, no idea how I'll top that this evening. Mother is here tomorrow though

EasterBunnyGirlie · 29/03/2013 17:03

frog yep I like to bake but when it comes to savoury stuff I'm more of a whip the plastic film off and chuck it in the oven kind of gal!

Any room for me and two more pussers? And a hamster lol
