Gorgeous picture moon, he is just perfect Grin You must be so proud! Is it good to be home? So sorry to hear about your sister, really hope she's doing okay after the operation. It's going to be a tough time for her, thinking of you both x

If it makes anyone feel better we have been in our house for 5 years now, and still not finished it Grin Life has just got in the way with one thing and another, but I am starting to think we might have to tackle the drive as it looks like a jungle! Blue your garden looks gorgeous, how did you find the time and the motivation to do it?!

Got a scan this afternoon at 2pm UK time, so keep your fingers crossed for us please! Am 22+3 now, can't believe it!

MummysLittleSunbeams · 24/09/2013 07:32

shroom good luck for your scan later.

I'm in hospital & have butterflies in my tummy, the horrible kind not the nice kind. Having my second cancer op today. Hopefully this'll be it & after today it will be gone. Looking forward to some zzz's.

Rumours · 24/09/2013 08:02

moon he is just so gorgeous, im so happy for you.

shroom positive thoughts heading your way, you too mls, really hope you both have positive news by the end of today. Keep us posted.

blue lovely to 'see' you, we've been in our house 7 years now and still working through it Grin.

Waves to everyone. Just a wee note to add, ds2 is developing a scottish accent, I LOVE it its so cute, I just heard him shout nooooo to his big brother (in a scottish way).

MummysLittleSunbeams · 24/09/2013 08:27

rumours that is beyond cute! Smile

SabsFabulous · 24/09/2013 08:47

Shroom best of luck for later, I have everything crossed for you. Will you be finding out the flavour?

mls sending lots of positive thoughts your way. Although I haven't posted before, I have been thinking about you a lot. My gran was diagnosed with breast cancer in July and had a mastectomy a few weeks later. Thankfully she received the all-clear. How long do you have to be in hospital for?

Rumours that sounds so cute Smile You'll have to send a voice note via WhatsApp Wink

Shroomboom · 24/09/2013 10:00

Good luck MLS, I have everything crossed that all goes well and they get rid of it all. Hope you're not too sore when you wake up. You are so brave xxx

Will report back later, no sabs not finding out although I am sorely tempted to as am going on my own. Dh definitely doesn't want to know! I have to stay strong........

SabsFabulous · 24/09/2013 10:05

Shroom we didn't find out with both S and Z, though I was very tempted both times! Stay strong Grin

How does DS feel about the baby? What will the age gap be between them?

Shroomboom · 24/09/2013 10:32

I'll try Grin DS is incredibly excited! We had to tell him very early as I was so poorly and we prepared him as well as we could in case something went wrong. This has now backfired - he was crying last night in case something happens to the baby and he has to play on his own forever Sad My sweet boy. He tells everyone wherever we go that mummy has a baby in her tummy! I just hope SO much that somehow this miracle continues! Baby is wriggling around lots today, so am hopeful for later Smile
How are S and Z doing? They are both so gorgeous!
(Age gap will be 7 years, not ideal but it is what it is Smile)

bluesatinsash · 24/09/2013 10:44

Will be upping my positive vibes app today for MLS and Shroom hope you feel them rippling your way Smile

Rumours - that's awesome that DS2 has a Scottish accent not that I am in any way biased Wink. Its almost German if we speak very fast and loud - watch out for stray saliva!!

Glad I'm not the only one with an "operation house" to do list the length of my arm! shroom gardening is my passion/stress reliever - I spent 4 hours one afternoon ripping ivy from the walls/rockery - half expected to find a random sleeping princess in there Grin.

B's at pre-school now 2 mornings a week and private nursery Thurs/Fri full days. It's different up here in Scotland in that they start school (as in P1 not reception, your reception is our pre-school) in August for those who turned five the March-Feb (2009-2010) so B is due to start school next year but you can defer them up here if they are January/Feb babies and apply if they're December or earlier and we're applying to defer him as he is still very socially immature (probably down to me babying him!) and I'd rather he was 5.5 than 4.5 going to school. His private nursery are helping me apply as they fully support our decision. I know how hard Isaac found school and he was 5+ when he started and just don't want him playing catch up his whole life.

So moon how are your first few days being a family of three? I loved the early days too, just staring and feeding and sleeping and some more staring and snuggling #heaven

Jeez I'm like the no. 12 bus - you don't see one for ages then two roll up at the same time Grin

bluesatinsash · 24/09/2013 10:48

x-post shroom Bless your DS, he'll be a fab big brother. Hope you've kept loads of his cool Boden clothes Smile.

Seven years is cool, my friend has 16.5 years between her DS's and they are amazing together, her DS2 just utterly adores his big bro'!

moonmrs · 24/09/2013 12:59

Hands ready for holding for mls and shroom. Sorry flying visit today's a bit crazy no sleep last night! Poo explosion in Moses basket may well solve that problem for tonight tho lol. Only just got dressed. Thanks for lovely comments on photo. Will be lurking for news.

Rumours · 24/09/2013 14:07

shroom theres almost 7 years between my two and it's been great, ive been able to do the baby thing all over again while ds1 was at school Smile

MummysLittleSunbeams · 24/09/2013 18:35

Thanks Blue I'm feeling the ripples Smile

shroom any news? There was 7 years between my late sister & I & it was fine. A good friend of mine who had countless mc's, mmc's & an ectopic (followed by the same cancer as me last year Angry) is currently 18 weeks pregnant with what appears to be a healthy baby. She's just so made up that she's so far into this pregnancy that the 9 year age gap between her dd & the baby doesn't matter. There is definitely a lot to be said for slightly larger age gaps (although 7 years isn't that large). Your ds is going to be such a huge help to you & imagine how sweet it's going to be when he starts trying to teach the new baby stuff! Also you'll get loads of head sniffing/staring/grinning like a loon time whilst ds is at school!

So I'm all done. Feeling floaty light but they said I can stay in tonight which is a bonus.

The lady in the bed next to me is having an ERPC. ??

Shroomboom · 24/09/2013 18:37

Thanks blue, I know he will be fab Smile

Scan was good Grin Got there to find my appt was cancelled but they ended up squeezing me in to see someone else so all was okay. Everything looks fine, we are so relieved! I asked not to find out the sex, but I think I have a little inkling Grin. I wouldn't dare reveal what I think though as am now doubting myself after trawling through loads of images on google!
Not sure if I've mentioned this but I have a low lying placenta so if it doesn't move I'll have to have a cesarean Sad Really wanted a normal delivery, part of the reason is I'm terrified of having a cesarean, and also dh and I wanted to put things right after last time. Dh promised me during the labour with our lost boy that we would come back one day, and have a live healthy baby at the end of it. Guess a cesarean is not what I had in mind! but then if we still get a healthy baby at the end of it I don't know what I'm worrying about Blush

Hope everyone's having a good evening, and sorry to hear about the poo explosion in Joshua's Moses basket moon, that sounds really messy!

Shroomboom · 24/09/2013 18:41

Good to hear from you MLS, and let's hope it all went well. You and rumours are right about the being at school thing! That's a lovely thought Smile Great to hear about your friend too, miracles do happen!
Hope you have a restful night and are not in too much pain xxx

Rumours · 24/09/2013 19:09

Just checking in and so pleased to see both mls and shroom are ok Smile

MummysLittleSunbeams · 24/09/2013 19:20

shroom did you get a picture of the genitals?? If so please share as I'm a bit of a self-proclaimed expert at gender prediction !

Shroomboom · 24/09/2013 19:28

Wish I had got one MLS as it would save me driving myself crazy, but no just have ones of the head, foot and spine. I have a picture in my head though, but I can't really be trusted - at one point I thought they were looking at the brain then wondered why it was beating Grin I haven't got a clue obviously!

moonmrs · 24/09/2013 21:27

Yay fab news shroom!
Hope you're ok mls and you're being looked after.

littlebellsmum · 25/09/2013 22:53

mls and boom, good news for both of you - lovely mls, I hope you are OK and recovering well. poo explosions are so good, aren't they moon!

CloudOfStarlings · 25/09/2013 23:42

Aww moon look at you with your very own poo story Grin barbie would be so proud, you really have graduated now Grin

mls just the biggest of hugs to you brave lady. So hope that's the back of it for you!

blue I wish I could defer ds for school :( he seems so small compared to his classmates some of whom are already 4..bless him! I do think 3 is too young to be at school really.

shroom fab news on the scan! Sooo sweet about ds I almost cried reading about playing by himself forever!! Bless his heart. hope you're finding work ok. Really hope.placenta moves too as you deserve an amazing birth experience to 'make up' for everything!

I'm glad others haven't finished their houses either! I guess it's never really finished is it as there'll always be something needs doing! I'm currently trying to convince dh that yes we do need the Laura Ashley curtains on sale for our living room!

Ooh we need a new thread soon..!

Shroomboom · 26/09/2013 16:49

Just a quickly as need to get supper but ooh re Laura Ashley curtains cloud Smile You definitely need to persuade dh, we have LA curtains, and they are my pride and joy, plus amazingly well made, thick and warm. I just ignore the bits where the puppy's hung off the bottom Grin Good luck! Btw, I almost cried at ds too!

Thanks lbm Smile Hope all good with you?

MLS been thing of you lots today, hope you're recovering nicely and that your poor boob isn't too sore. It must be really bruised by now Sad Lots of love xxx

MummysLittleSunbeams · 26/09/2013 22:27

Thanks for all your thoughts & good wishes lovely ladies. I'm doing ok but I think I did a bit too much this morning & spent think afternoon feeling quite 'odd'. I'm too much of a control freak to sit back & let dh to everything (wrongly)!!

moon how's mummy-hood treating you?

shroom how many times have you looked at the scan pics this last couple of days???!

Neeko · 27/09/2013 21:52

Hello all.
Big hugs to my lovely strong and always positive friend MLS

Shroom so glad all is well. I think a surprise will be lovely and no matter what the birth is like it will be magical. Smile I bet your big boy will be an amazing big brother.

Cloud our house is nowhere near finished and we've been in almost 5 years too. Lots of happy family times though- they don't need interior design Wink

Moon loving you having your own poo story. I'm on my phone so can't see picture but I know he'll be gorgeous.

Waves to LBM and Blue.

My big girl is seven today. How did that happen?Shock She's had a lovely day. Lots of family and friends round for cake and a cuppa tonight and 9 wee girls here for a party tomorrow afternoon. I vividly remember being 7 and getting a life-sized baby doll. She was real to me Grin and is upstairs as I type. It's a magical age. GrinGrin

CloudOfStarlings · 28/09/2013 08:37

Aww neeko I remember when you were potty training your dd1, how can she be 7??! Glad she had a lovely day.
mls yes, rest!! Glad you're holding up ok though.
