4ever that is such a beautiful photo, definitely get that one up on canvas, I love it! Sorry to hear about the mastitis but glad you're on antibiotics and on the mend, must be very difficult for you.

to everyone

moonmrs · 28/07/2013 11:13

4ever under my mumsnet and my profile, there's a drop down box there underneath location which says about showing number of kids/ages/names, is that bit or something else?

4everhopeful · 28/07/2013 14:22

Thanks rumours Smile How's you & your boys doing? Did you have a nice break visiting the family?

Thanks moon too! I got a nice reply from MNHQ & I've updated it now! Bet your glad for a bit of relief from this heat, unbearable, normally would be loving it but definitely not for heavily pregnant ladies or mummies of newborns! Like Summer, Teddy spent his first few days in just a nappy, the maternity ward was unbearable, & he's only worn vests since! Knew we didn't need all those clothes!

Oop lunch ready, lovely DH! Be back asap for more personals!

Rumours · 28/07/2013 14:38

Yes we had a nice break ta, the boys had a good time Smile

Neeko · 29/07/2013 08:56

Hi all. Sorry it's taken me so long to get back on here. Been busy initially with all the unpacking, washing etc and catching up with stuff at home, plus organising the DDs for the new term in a couple of weeks time. (DD1 is going into P3 and there were a LOT of negotiations re uniform selection . DD2 is starting nursery . Babies don't stay babies very long.)
Didn't really suffer from jet-lag so much as an inability to motivate myself to do things. Think the holiday was so full on all the time that my brain and body had enough! Grin
The holiday was amazing though. The DDs had a brilliant time and it turns out that it my not be once in a lifetime as we planned because we enjoyed it so much that we're hoping to go back in 3 years (finances allowing) when DD2 will be the same age as DD1 was this time.
Anyway, enough about me.

4ever Huge congratulations again on your gorgeous DS. He is so beautiful and I love the picture of both your DC together. You just sound so happy as a family of 4. Smile Sorry to hear about the mastitis. I had it with DD1 and it's so painful. I hope you're on the mend now.
As always, I love how a birth brings everyone back to posting.

Sabs I hope you're still enjoying your babymoon too and are all settled into a nice routine (if there is such a thing).

Cloud What wonderful weather you've had for your new garden. Bet those boys of yours have been outside for for most of the past month!
What hours will DS1 do at school? Is it just a half-day like nursery here?

Moon wow it's getting close now. I'll bet you are really excited. Have you bought a pram yet? If so, post a link. I love a bit of pram envy!
We'll be selling ours soon. Makes me all teary-eyed to think of it...

Rumours Glad to hear you had a good holiday. The summer break is whizzing past and I haven't done any of my prep for work yet . Hasn't it been strange to have proper summer weather? Yesterday was the first day the DDs wore socks in a month!

LBM Hope things are settling down with DD2. I find mine pushes me to the limit and I am never as patient as I should be. Each day I strive to do better but I'm secretly hoping things will improve when she starts nursery.

Right, that's as much as my brain can manage! Big waves to everyone else.

Neeko · 29/07/2013 09:02

Oops! Told you my brain isn't working!

Shroom How are you keeping? I am so excited for you! I totally get the worry about the next scan when this one is barely over thing but try to just take it a day at a time.
When are you off to Florida?

Barbie Hope you are settled and happy in your new home? What's it like over there? Come back and share it with us.

4ever gorgeous pic! Definitely get it up in a frame or on canvas. You must be so proud of your two babies! Sorry to hear about the mastitis, I had that with ds and it was awful Sad Really hope you're feeling better soon x

Neeko So glad you had a fab holiday, it sounds like it was amazing! We're going on Sunday, but am so worried because I'm still so wobbly and weak and struggling not to throw up at times.
Can't believe your dd2 is starting nursery, the time just whizzes by! How do you think she'll get on?

Moon not long now! How are you doing? How's the pain that you've been having? Hope it's easing up for you! Have you got your hospital bag all sorted now? Such an exciting time!

All fine here, just wish I was feeling better than I am! Am 14+2 and have got enough of a bump for people to be asking if I'm pg Grin When did you all start to get bumps? This is my 6th pregnancy (not inc cp's) so maybe that's why it's popped out so fast nothing to do with my none existent tummy muscles Blush

Anyway, hope everybody's well and either not too hot or getting struck by lightening! In May DS and I almost got hit by a horizontal strike of lightning that crackled off a metal letterbox literally one pace in front of us while we were walking along the street. V scary!

Sorry for lack of more personals but need to get ds into bed!

CloudOfStarlings · 31/07/2013 14:49

Hello ladies! So sorry for absence... life is mental at the moment. Had dh's 30th bday at the weekend, big meal with friends Friday that I'd planned as a surprise then big family weekend.. this weekend is my sister's hen party then we're straight off camping for a few days (to the New Forest, and going to Peppa Pig World..I can't wait to see ds1's face!) so all non-stop...hopefully time to breathe after all this!!

4ever so amazing for you that you have an intact perineum Grin jealous, moi? Just a bit!!! Grin hope mastitis is clearing up now though, nasty.. lush photo of your two babies!

shroom just so amazing that you're starting to look pregnant- SO excited for you! I got bumps at about 14 weeks with both my boys I think, started to feel tiny bubbles of movement around then too :) have you told your ds yet, or do you plan to wait a bit? Shock about the lightning! Have an amazing time away, hope you'll feel much better in time for the trip!

moon oooh packing hospital bag, I loved doing all that! Teeny tiny vests! Don't forget flip-flops you can wear in the shower in case you have a grotty one! Ooh and bendy straws are super useful too for drinking in labour and after when you can't be bothered to sit up for a drink! (buy a couple of small drink cartons and take the straws off them rather than a massive pack of bendy straws) I took dried apricots both times too to help with bowel movements after! So glamorous! Grin hope you're not in too much pain. how's your mum too?

neeko so glad you had an amazing time away & I can imagine you can't wait to get back! Yes it's been amazing to have a bigger garden in this weather (though raining now!) we've been living in it! Yes ds1 will just do afternoons from Sept for a year.. where did that time go?? MIL practically cried looking at his little school uniform the other day! Good luck with all the getting back to school stuff!

4everhopeful · 03/08/2013 15:40

Hey cloud Envy at Peppa pig world on Summers behalf! Bet the boys will love it! Sure you're having a great time as I write! Belated happy 30th to your DH too! Oooooh you younguns! Smile

With both you and Neeko at the gut wrench of our littluns starting pre school! Confused Summers doing afternoons too, she starts when we are back from hols on 1st Oct, she has her school uniform in her wardrobe and I know I will sob when I see her in it! With Lbm also, that hoping they are able to assert. a little discipline over the strong willed little headstrong lady that she is, I'm torn between knowing it will all be really good for her, and already desperately missing her!

Neeko your holiday sounded great! I've heard you can end up hooked! Start saving those pennies for round 2 ! The girls will no doubt love it even more as they get older! Good luck with the back to school prep!

Shroom you must be at Disney yourself now? Hope your DS and all of you are having a fantastic time?! Must be so lovely having your little bump, I love it when I start to show! Smile I think you're right though, Teddy being my 8th pregnancy my belly
popped out and I instantly put on half a stone as soon as I got my bfp! Wink

I put on 3&1/2 stone this time round, and am v pleased to say I've lost 2stone already in 2wks! I'm feeling a bit Confused and Sad at the thought I'm 99% not going to ever be pregnant again though, having spent the best part of the last 6yrs being pregnant and resident and friend of our local hospital, it really feels very wierd and strange I must say...
Hmm

Moon you must be soooooo excited?! I'm sooooo excited for you! Grin How long now? I loved packing my bag and washing all the little baby clothes! Bet your Dh is beside himself! Hope the aches are easing?

Rumours glad you had a good break too... Is Dh reduced hrs a permanant thing? How's DS2 doing now too? Will he be doing any therapy?

Big waves to everyone else and fellow pregnancy buddy sabs we been on WA doing our own BF clinic! My lil fella is like jaws for latch on, we've agreed it must be a boy thing! Grin

I'm just taking 5 in the garden while Dh watches a sleeping Teddy and Summer playing, his paternity is nearly up and he's back at work monday... Sad I'm gutted after such a lovely 3wks of family time, Summer has totally become a daddys girl & they've done loads together, I've been given several lie ins and well looked after so not only am I gonna miss him like mad, I'm also a little scared at how I'm gonna cope on my own with the 2 of them... Confused Eeeeeek!

Hi 4ever, it's nerve racking beeing on your own with two wee ones for the first time. I think you just need to find a routine that suits you all. You'll be fine Smile
Dh's hours are a lot better and a lot less stressful, thanks for asking. He's still full time, just doesn't need to put in as many unpaid hours as he used to.

All ok here, was a bit low last week but I was so so tired. Ds2 still only sleeps through occasionally. He's also started to tip toe walk and spin and twirl more, bless him. It's cute and it's all about his sensory stimulation.

Right that's ds finally asleep, I'm off to make nachos for me and dh.

Waves to y'all xxx

Neeko · 07/08/2013 08:13

Hi all.
Hope flying solo is going ok 4ever. It's hard going but you will soon get into a rythmn, particularly when S goes to pre-school.

Rumours hope this week has been easier. Won't be long until the routine starts again.

cloud happy belated birthday to your DH. Hope he had a good time. Can't believe all our tiddlers are starting pre-school. The last few years have flown past.

moon how are you feeling? Can't be long until you stop. Smile

shroom hope you are doing ok in the Florida heat.

I'm reading "French children don't throw food" just now. Very interesting- wish I'd read it instead of 1000 sleep books when H was a baby.

Going into work today to get organised. Taking the girls with me so might end up making more mess!!! Grin

Big waves to all you lurkers.

Neeko · 07/08/2013 08:14

That was my first post on my new phone. No idea why the bold for the names didn't work. Confused

4everhopeful · 07/08/2013 10:41

Ooh good luck taking the girlys to school with you neeko you're brave!!!

Flying solo went better than planned after complete anxiety on sunday night! Yesterday was a bit miffed my first solo outing to playgroup was cancelled, but so far so good, slowly slowly!

Am updating the list!

So sorry, have been really busy both at home and work, have had no time to post. Just a sneaky post while I'm at work, 2 more weeks left after this week, and only 5 weeks after this week til our little man is due Shock hospital bag mainly sorted, have got everything just need to actually pack it all. Washed and ironed all the little man's clothes and bedding ready, I nearly cried putting it all in the wardrobe, its so overwhelming and can't believe we're actually in this position after all this time, it's like a dream I never thought would happen.

Having a bit of a mare at work (again) with the guy I work with, he is basically not very good, does little work, takes long breaks, is very slow etc. He's only been here 4 months so have to give him the benefit of the doubt, but been in talks with my boss about how to manage him, esp as I won't be here in 3 weeks!

Anyway, can't stop, am busy over the weekend too so not sure if I'll get back on for a while. But I am here and ok, and will be lurking when I can. Hugs to everyone Smile

CloudOfStarlings · 08/08/2013 23:04

Hello all! Had a lovely time away & peppa pig world is amazing! Lots of queuing but otherwise can't fault the place - boys absolutely loved it! 4ever how tall is summer?? cos they get in free before they're 1m tall so it's definitely a good time to take them! My ds1 is just a few cm off 1m but they're still allowed on loads of the main park rides too so worked out well :)

Wow looking at that list, not including qa, the last 9 babies have been boys! 10 with moon's little moonbeam so shroom I'm even more convinced now that you're having a girl :)

4ever glad flying solo going ok, it's nice that at this stage baby still sleeps so much during the day so I hope you're still getting some lovely time with summer. How is our little Teddy doing? Sleeping ok? Chilled out boy or spirited?!

neeko good luck getting back to work. Have heard of that book sounds great! The French are so relaxed about stuff, wish I could be more like that!

Right better get to sleep..loads of unpacking to do tomorrow but then dh & I are off for our first night away from the boys! Part of my bday pres to dh, night in a hotel with dinner, breakfast & massages in the spa..I am giddy with excitement, mainly at being able to read in bed when I wake up!! Haha.. goodnight all x

bakingqueen · 11/08/2013 22:54

Just checked in again so sorry im rubbish but congratulations to you 4ever know exacly how much you have been through to get your two gorgeous babies so very pleased for you.

Neeko · 12/08/2013 08:59

Hi BQ. Hope all is well with you.

Cloud hope you and DH had a wonderful night away. Peppa Pig land sounds fab though H is starting to move away from that now due to the influences of her sister. Sad

Moon lovely to hear you getting all organised. A cake of baby soap in its wrapper amongst his clothes will make them smell all baby! Hope work is less stressful this week... won't be long til you don't care!

4ever You do grow 'em big! Wink

Hi to everyone else.

Rumours · 14/08/2013 16:35

Liked your thread neeko, I try and get my ds's to do tasks, I think it's important to encourage them to help. Less of a shock for when they're older Grin. I'm also determined that both mine will be able to iron, unlike their dad Grin

Neeko · 14/08/2013 19:46

Lol Rumours. Sometimes DH and I have fantasy conversations about when the kids will be old enough to do ALL the jobs GrinGrin.
Had a lovely day out today. Back to work and reality tomorrow. Can't believe the summer hold have gone and I'll have no more pt hours or mat leaves until I retire! HmmShockHmm

Rumours · 16/08/2013 20:09

Hiya, I hope you can all spare a minute to take a look at the latest mumsnet campaign, 'this is my child'. Its a great campaign, and one that's close to my heart, and to give you some extra fun, see if you can find my quote, Grin and Cake

4everhopeful · 17/08/2013 19:26

Hi Rumours! Good on MN for supporting the cause! Smile Couldn't find your quote though!? Hmm

Great thread from you Neeko! Get you on discussion of the day! Smile Sorry never replied to your tx, chasing my tail a lot of the time here, but was v interested, have made a rod for my own back by being a clean freak & doing everything myself to my standards so Summer doesn't do much, 'tidy up time' at nursery is gonna come as quite a shock! Hope the return to work wasn't too bad? Must be tiring returning to FT Confused

BQ!!!! Grin Thank you for your congratulations! So nice of you to pop back to say that! How's life with you?

Cloud did you have a lovely night away with DH? I LOL at your excitement at reading in bed & wondered if it was a euphenism!!! Grin He he! Can't believe the last 9 graduates were all boys how funny is that? My boy is definitely chilled, unlike his highly 'spirited' sister! Smile I'm trying to make sure we do something for Summer every day - park/playgroup/playdates, she is ready for school, she has so much energy to burn, though will break my heart that first day!

Shroom I'm with Cloud & reckon girl too! Wink How you doing? How was Disneyworld? Next scan must be coming up? Will you find out the flavour?

Moon how long for you now? Must be soon? How exciting?

Big waves to the lurking crew Smile

All good here, not enough hours in the day, learning to juggle fairly succesfully but having a few 'moments' where it all goes a bit to pot! Teddy is a sweetheart though, sleeps/feeds/sleeps/poos! Summer is very loving & sweet, but gets a bit over excited on occasions! Really looking forward to our holiday, just under 5wks yay! Got his passport back, too cute!

OP posts:
CloudOfStarlings · 18/08/2013 08:29

Haha 4ever definitely not a euphemism!! We literally spent the entire time reading, I even asked dh if I could bring my book down to breakfast (he said no) Grin had such a lovely time though thanks.
So glad you're enjoying your 2 little monkeys!

neeko that is weird to think you'll be working ft til retirement now.. you never know you may get a chance to go pt again sometime in your career. FWIW I'm slightly envious as I have no structured career to return to after babies & will have to start over.. grass is always greener I guess.

moon you ok? Hope you're not in too much pain, 3rd trimester is hard!

shroom thinking of you too, and yes tell us about your holiday!

rumours I read that Guardian article, was great, and what a great campaign! Thanks for mentioning as I often miss stuff like that on mn. Which bit is your quote in??

Waves to bq and all lurkers.. where is blue?? Miss her.
