Just annoyed with life in general, really. Dog wouldn't settle last night so got minimal sleep, only to be woken at dawn by SKs bickering; took dog to vet and dropped serious money on tests, and or the rest of th day been cooking, cleaning and trying to maintain some kind of sanity. I just hate feeling like I nag all the time but apparently I'm the only one who notices there's toothpaste all over the toile seat (!) and who doesn't appreciate being sassed by a nine year old. Meanwhile said SKs are still up and watching a movie; have told DH that the minute they wake me up tomorrow, I'm literally kicking him out of bed to handle it. BAH! Usually the kids are great, but it's v v trying when they aren't.

Bunnygirlie · 02/03/2013 21:17

boodle the way I feel right now I don't think we'll ever DTD for fun ever again!

cats that sounds like an afternoon from hell Sad

Oh dear Sid your day doesn't sound fun either!

Thanks for the advice I want to secretly go out and buy masses of tests just in case!! I guess i just have to wait and wait.....dh has decided he isn't asking anymore just saying "so any?" and waving his hand around he nether regions with a vaguely optimistic look!!

I must admit I wonder if some of the "baby dust" talk from other threads may be aiming towards the belly button in the same manner as my doctors oddest mother-to-be!!

Sorry to hear about the spectacularly crappy weekend SidneyBristow might i suggest chocolate covered in chocolate with a sprinkle of dark chocolate (for health benefits of course) I find it helps a bit.....sometimes :-)

Soph80 · 02/03/2013 21:34

ah how old are the SKs? Sure it won't be long until you have your own DC bickering and waking you up. Tomorrow will be a better day! xxx

Tallyra · 02/03/2013 21:34

another crappy kind of day here too - spent visiting friend with six week old. I did get much cuddles though and they are very open about talking through, they know all about my MCs and health problems so although it hasn't helped me feel much happier about it all, I did at least get to talk to someone properly. its actually quite a relief to talk to someone other than dh about it. I also got the horror story of her preeclampsia and subsequent c/s to get 4lb baby out and now I'm quite scared!

Soph80 · 02/03/2013 22:00

Tallyra, you know what they say, a problem shared is a problem halved. Most of my friends know (I'm sure they're sick to death of me offloading lol) but its my way of coping and stops people from saying 'so do you not fancy a family yet then'

I also spent the day with my friend and her baby. I'm kinda hoping that all this baby time will make my uterus want to house one for a bit!

ILoveMyCats · 02/03/2013 22:00

Just watched Argo - thoroughly recommend.
piper, I'm waiting for af/bfp cd76. I tested every couple of days for a week and then went to GP, as that's what they say to do on the hpt packet. She wouldn't do a blood test as the lab didn't recommend it. The one yours uses may be ok with it. I paid for a private blood test to confirm bfn - had to know. Do you have any early pg symptoms?
My afternoon seems surreal in so many ways, probably because the proud mummies are not my own friends, just people I see every now and again. May see them in December at a wedding, but not before, so it's not too in my face. I do think that you can only understand how hard ttc can be if you have problems, so I can't be surprised that they asked me, especially as one had just said that her baby hadn't been planned and would have been better if it had happened a year later. She then started talking about the couple who's engagement do we were at and who are leaving for oz in the morning. She wondered whether they would be having babies over there ...blah blah!!! I replied that these things can't always be planned. Perhaps I should have told her bout my long cycles, bbt and cm concerns? I could have got her to answer your questions live, as someone who is fertile.....I expect she got pg through her navel!

Boodle9 · 02/03/2013 22:08

Oh dear! Well, I'm sorry so many of us are having a crappy weekend; mine's actually been quite pleasant! Because I'm home alone I have pretty much holed myself up and avoided having to interact with other human beings! Bliss! (Can you tell I like my 'alone' time?) Closest I got was a bit of small talk with a dog walker whose pooch kept trying to make me play fetch!

Soph80 · 02/03/2013 22:12

love I expect she did get pregnant through her naval! I get really upset too when I hear about unplanned or even unwanted pregnancies, even when I read about them on MN

Pipersouth · 02/03/2013 22:22

ILoveMyCat - I have nasty spots on my back that I grew out of years ago and my tummy seems to feel a bit odd against my jeans but tbh as I've never been pg I wouldn't have a clue. I know what you mean about weddings - people always ask when you're going to get round to having children?!! Stupid question I always think it's such a personal question and difficult to reply to without being rude to people you only see every year or so. Unless you want to say something like its my massive haemorrhoids that gets in the way that'll shut them up quickly and they'll never say anything again!!

MotherOfCleo · 02/03/2013 22:23

soph I can imagine how you feel re the unplanned and unwanted pregnancies but Ive been on the otherside of it and it wasnt a bed of roses. I only started to feel really bad about it when we started ttc last year, my reaction to this pregnancy is so so different to the one when I was 17. Then I saw it as an alien threatening me but now I see it as an exciting adventure and am already excited at the changes to come.
I have wondered in the past how people get preggo by accident but then have to remind myself that I did. I do appreciate why people find it so hard now as I have been on both sides.

ILoveMyCats · 02/03/2013 22:23

I have told anyone that we're actively ttc, maybe it would shut them up. I tell a lie...I have told one friend who has since conceived her second and told me that she was so sick in the first weeks, she considered a termination. She also told me how she's so tired from looking after her dd. this from a woman who tried for years for dd and had icsi to have her!!! Hmmmm. Maybe I just have insensitive friends.

MotherOfCleo · 02/03/2013 22:26

ohhh piper I have suffered with a spotty back this month and thought it was a stmptom. Ive now been told by the ladies on the pregnancy thread that its actually the vitabiotics prenatals Im taking....doh. Still think its a good sign for you tho.

ILoveMyCats · 02/03/2013 22:34

Piper - I have spots on my back too...think it's coming off the pill. Any dizziness or frequent peeing? Some people don't get any of these anyway, so it doesnt mean anything either way.
Mother - I totally understand your point about your first pg. it's about the situation. So pleased it's a good one for you this time.

ILoveMyCats · 02/03/2013 22:35

Vitabiotics are evil! Can add the spots to the list of other side effects I've had on them.

MotherOfCleo · 02/03/2013 22:36

cheers love. I am definitely in a better head space this time. Grin

MotherOfCleo · 02/03/2013 22:41

love I have an evil ex friend who does nothing but moan about her son, she makes motherhood sound about as fun as walking on hot coals! But shes now having her second, I cant bear to talk to her anymore as she is so insensitive to everyone else.
I dread the fb updates when number 2 arrives, she did not cope well with a baby at all, kicked walls because he was crying, moaned non stop but then wouldnt let anyone else near him. I was forbidden from holding him as I have a cat and he had alergies, no proof of the allergies as hes never even seen a cat and hes over a year now, how could she know he had alergies at 2 weeks old?
Whats worse she got pregnant just as we started ttc so I felt she was rubbing it in my face.

Pipersouth · 02/03/2013 22:44

I hadn't even thought about those i'm taking pregnacare at least that takes one question out of my mind you are right ILMC they are evil but a necessary one I guess!! There has been more frequent trips to the loo bt prob caused by checking for any signs of the witch fingers crossed anyway I'll leave it to Monday morning come on hormones give me a chance...

Mother you can enjoy the changes this time - good and bad
Fingers crossed for everyone else poasing this weekend

MavisCruet176 · 02/03/2013 22:45

I'm so bored of symptoms that mean nothing at all - I was just thinking that my boobs feel a bit firmer/bigger - but then I probably think that every month

ILoveMyCats · 02/03/2013 22:48

I've stopped taking them, just plain Folic acid for me now!

ILoveMyCats · 02/03/2013 22:51

mother, your evil ex friend sounds like a beaut.

Boodle9 · 02/03/2013 23:06

Urgh, Mother, I see why you say ex-friend! She sounds awful.

Bunnygirlie · 02/03/2013 23:27

Crappy weekends all round then!!!

OP posts:
MotherOfCleo · 02/03/2013 23:43

yep ladies she is an 'ex' friend for a reason, one of the best decisions Ive made. Grin

I know she'll suddenly want to get in touch when she finds out im pregnant. When that day arrives I shall take great delight in telling her to do one Wink

cherrycoconut · 02/03/2013 23:56

Trying times folks, eek Mother!

What's the deal with the vita bioethics piper they sound ironically named!

I've had not a bad day in comparison. Got ridiculously over excited when my new lounge curtains arrived this morning, spent some time outside in the sun then had some good friends over for dinner. Consumed quite a bit of wine, laughed mercilessly and hubby did all the cooking. Did I say I'm quite pleased with the curtains And I feel like I may, may be on course to OV in next couple of days. Fingers toes crossed there is EWCM and some temp shifting to follow...
