Our new home, hope we will all be very unhappy here and leave soon ;-)

cherry ref reflexology, since I started charting my cycles last April my cycles have ranged from 28-36 days, just checked my app and since I started reflexology in nov/dec I have had 3 29 day cycles, I did 4 weekly sessions and now have them monthly just before ov week. They are also helping my IBS which is fab!

boodle hmmmmm I really didn't wanna know that, I need some sort of lubricant whether we are TTC or not so maybe I'm screwed!!! (probably not the best phrase lol)

Bunny, I'm pretty sure you needn't worry, as long as you're using sperm friendly lube. I was more tickled by their suggestion that every single sex session should be preceded by a romantic evening of massage, sweet talk (snort) and touching everywhere except the genitals...

Bunnygirlie · 02/03/2013 14:43

Oh gawd boodle can you imagine it!

Boodle9 · 02/03/2013 14:53

I know! It made me wonder just how many babies have been conceived on a night described like that!

I'm not sure I've EVER had a night like that...and I couldn't be more pleased about that fact!

Pipbin · 02/03/2013 15:25

So if it's all meant to be massage and candle light, how come so many babies are conceived as the result of a knee trembler in the bins behind McDonalds?

I think the info from Boots must have been written by a 17 year old virgin, not old married birds like us lot.

qazxc · 02/03/2013 17:18

snort at Boots advice.
Maybe we should go down the Jeremy Kyle route. A gallon of alcopop, few spliffs, tracksuits, fuggs, and shag your best mates boyfriend. (well maybe not the last bit).

Boodle9 · 02/03/2013 17:22

Grin Pip! It does sound like the ingredients for a badly written soft porn novel.

In other news, due to a high temperature this morning, fertility friend gave me cross-hairs today for CD10! There's absolutely no way I ovulated then, and I actually got a positive OPK today, so expecting to ovulate tomorrow/Monday.

The only thing that I can think of that has affected my temperatures is that I had a couple of glasses of wine last night. Have any of you tempers noticed alcohol having much of an influence on your temperatures? I know it's meant to a little bit, but this was quite a significant rise!

barkingtreefrog · 02/03/2013 17:41

Boodle no, I am talking rubbish again. I meant 36-36.5 pre O and 36.5-36.9 post O.

Had some good news today. The testosterone in my blood sample was so low that it apparently shows I definitely don't have PCOS :). That was in a letter from the dermatologist as she'd looked at pcos as an explanation for my acne. Just the short luteal phase to sort out then hopefully!! :). Had a beautiful day out today, that letter to come home to was the icing on the cake. Might have a nice glass of Wine tonight to celebrate :).

Boodle9 · 02/03/2013 17:43

Oh, I see, Barking! Those sound much healthier! Smile Great news about your blood result too. I'm definitely going to try progesterone cream this month to see what it does to my luteal phase.

barkingtreefrog · 02/03/2013 17:52

I'd be very interested to hear about it, I'm convinced it's my LP that's the problem now!

Bunnygirlie · 02/03/2013 17:56

Whatcha been doing Barking ?

CD7 here, any cycle buddies?

Thunderbuns · 02/03/2013 18:04

Hey bunny, cd 9 here.

Chuckling at boots advice....

MavisCruet176 · 02/03/2013 18:45

Does 'talking sweetly to each other' include saying 'we have to shag today, it's an important time'? Grin

Bunnygirlie · 02/03/2013 19:05

OMG I wanna scream! AF gone so wanted to get a wriggle on with trying to increase DTD frequency so less pressure during ov week but oh no, he's not in the mood, his libido has left the building! What the feck am I going to do?!?

Trying not to cry as that just makes it worse, I get upset so he gets upset that he is upsetting me, then he gets angry at himself coz he can't try and give me what I want.

Why oh why isn't this easier, I thought this was meant to be a joyous time, when in reality it's absolute hell!

Rant over - needed to get that off my (rather flat) chest! Don't think the glass of wine is helping! So how are we all this evening? Confused

OP posts:
Boodle9 · 02/03/2013 19:06

Mavis Grin! I was wondering whether my usual, "OK, there's sticky stuff in my kinckers. Pants off, Mr. Boodle," would be acceptable sweet talk!

Well, Barking, it worked for Mother so I figured I'd give it a go!

Boodle9 · 02/03/2013 19:17

Bunny, sorry you're still having trouble with his libido issues and that is dragging you down in turn. Vicious cycle.

Hope this doesn't come across as patronising but I'm trying to think about what I'll try if this problem ever 'comes up' (really not the best choice of words, I know) for us. Maybe you should make the first 'sexual encounter' after AF just a bit of mutual hand / mouth work?! Remind you both that it can be just a bit of fun?

ILoveMyCats · 02/03/2013 19:18

Eurgh! Just got in from an afternoon of listening to friends of friends talk about their babies "how about you, are you planning to have any?" & "I want to have another one as soon as possible." yay for you!! Seriously, if we manage to have DCs, I solemnly swear NEVER to ask a childless couple if they want any or to describe my recovery from c/s without being asked.

Boodle9 · 02/03/2013 19:24

Oh Cats, that is NOT a way to spend a lovely sunny Saturday afternoon! I recently bumped into a friend in a shop. She spent ages and ages talking about her baby without letting me get a word in edge ways. Her first pause for breath was to follow the question, "So, when are you having one then?" Angry!

ILoveMyCats · 02/03/2013 19:26

Apart from the obvious upset, it also showed me the importance of having other things to talk about....

Pipersouth · 02/03/2013 19:50

Hi Everyone
Truant from about thread 2/3 here!!! Promise have very slightly cyber-stalked the thread for a catch up :-)
Some help please from the wisdom of all Elderberrys as I have absolutely none at this point. I'm 37 (just!) ttc from July 2012 .........am LATE but....."Not Pregnant" I know I'm only 3 days late but I am so regular the trains could use me for a timetable. This is the most potential possible maybe chance so far so without getting myself too worked up when would be the next test you would do?

Ps When we went to see the Doctor for initial tests almost a couple of weeks ago she checked that we actually knew what sex was mechanically as one woman apparently thought putting sperm in her belly button would get her pregnant- I admit I sniggered like a school girl lol

PowderPuffs · 02/03/2013 19:56

Evening!
Grin at the Boots advice. Fat chance!

Cats that sounds painful! Since TTC I look back and cringe at the times in my ignorant youth when I asked married friends 'so when are you having a babyyyyyy?' - agh.

Thunder I'm also CD9 - mine are relatively short though at 24/25 days, so I'm shitting myself a bit concerned as we only got started yesterday.

Boodle9 · 02/03/2013 19:59

Oh my goodness, Piper if that's a true story then your doctor has done the world a serious injustice by letting her know otherwise! Surely people who think that are best not reproducing?!

Can't really help on the testing issue - have never had the pleasure of POAS, for confirming a BFN or otherwise. I'm sure sensible people would say give it a few days but, if it were me, I'd be testing every morning (until I knew one way or the other) for at least a week. If still nothing by then, would probably go to Dr.

Soph80 · 02/03/2013 20:20

piper oh dear god, can you not get pregnant using your belly button? Now THATS what I'm doing wrong lol.

boodle pmsl at Boots advice as our approach to DTD is somewhat the same. Did say to DH the earlier that I love him to bang the crap out of me, to which he wittily replied, on day 9, 11, 13, 15 or 18? Fair play.

SidneyBristow · 02/03/2013 20:27

Hi piper ! Agree with Boodle; that has got to be the dumbest thing I've ever heard but secretly makes me feel like a rock star bc at least I know how to DTD I was once 3 days late, had never happened before or since. In the end I got my period about 12 hours after poas (negative). Still not sure what it was about. If I were you I'd give it a week and then see the dr. Couldn't hurt right?

Spectacularly crappy weekend over here, for no real reason Confused

Soph80 · 02/03/2013 20:44

Sid can't be for no reason, come on spill!
