Our new home, hope we will all be very unhappy here and leave soon ;-)

I don't really want to get into a debate about the rights or wrongs of one poster, and I'm not taking sides, but thank you for your reply mumsnet. I, and I'm sure others here, appreciate the time you have taken to tell us why you have made the decision you have.

Any way, in my life AF sucks and it's parents evening which sucks too. On the upside there was triffle.

CatsCantFlyFast · 27/02/2013 20:00

Going to point out the obvious but loads of tumbleweed flying round this thread this eve Grin
So to get it out the way I'm gonna say gail has never been anything but lovely to me, however everyone has their own perspective and I'm therefore now going to be Switzerland. I don't think any Elderberry wants to be involved in name calling or accusations or bad feelings or causing upset so let's move on. I will raise a wine for elderberries old, current and new as you've all had a part in keeping me sane!

BelissimaLol · 27/02/2013 20:10

Hi lovely ladies
You have not seen me for a while as I've been booted asked not to talk too much about being pg.
But like other graduates I always come here to see how you are getting on and hoping for more bfps soon.
However I feel as part of one of the original elderberries I have to say this thread is being spoiled a bit by all this banning drama!
We all come here for ttc support but instead seem to have got caught up in a fight and forget why we are here in how first place.
Well I've said my piece. No offence intended to anyone. now I will bugger off again before being asked to leave!
Good luck to all of you and congrats to our recent graduates Grin

Bunnygirlie · 27/02/2013 20:11

Thank you Mumsnet for explaining, Kerry has been nothing but lovely to us in here but we cannot comment on the other threads.

I don't think goading them is a good idea though!

So let's move on, how are we all this evening?

OP posts:
Bunnygirlie · 27/02/2013 20:13

Nice to see you lol

OP posts:
Boodle9 · 27/02/2013 20:20

Yep, yep. Agree with Pip and especially Merkin regarding the bad feeling and name calling.

But, with that in mind, Kerry, I know you're feeling pissed off at Mumsnet and Helen, but that last post was uncalled for.

I look forward to logging on and chatting to you Elderberries every night - It will be a sad day for us if we end up in a cycle of angry/defensive messages followed by deleted messages.

Soph80 · 27/02/2013 20:21

merkin wtf?? you've never done an OPK before? Thats amazing, you actually listen to the doctors unlike me who's probably spent £££

captain I think your aunty might have been fibbing lol

barking that settles it, I will keep you all as my dirty little secret --or just tell DH to p* off and mind his own business!

We did have a CBFM but
I gave up on it after 3 months of it not reading my Ov properly (I was backing it up with OPKs)

Oh and you should just start arranging your wedding. It will be sods law that you will be 8 months pregnant on your wedding day but its one way to get preggers ey?

boodle I'm really excited! AND I should be ovulating around then...so the hotel room will come in nicely!

'helen' am PMSL right now!!!! Don't change for anyone apart from your name every 5 minutes Oh and 'Mike's' new name has only just dawned on me lol doh!!!

Boodle9 · 27/02/2013 20:22

Bunny, are you feeling better today, my dear? I was worried about you feeling so low the last couple of days.

I'm STILL waiting for referral letter...it's 4 weeks tomorrow since I went to the doctors. RAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGH! (I'm going to add more 'A's every day I'm kept waiting!)

Pipbin · 27/02/2013 20:24

I'm going to join Merkin in Switzerland.

So my question is should I bother to continue with the CBFM? I always double check with OPKs anyway. I bought it second hand on ebay so I could sell it for what I paid for it and be no worse off.

Bunnygirlie · 27/02/2013 20:27

Hey Boodle I'm feeling bit better thanks, just so very nervous about DTD week, if it continues to go pete tong I will just get more upset Sad

What will your referral be for?

OP posts:
Bunnygirlie · 27/02/2013 20:28

That's great timing then, Soph! Smile

Pip, my humble opinion is don't bother with the CBFM! I resent mine every time I open my drawer to retrieve my OPKs! I paid fully bloody whack as well...fool.

Soph80 · 27/02/2013 20:32

Oh what with all the excitement I forgot to tell you that I went to see an acupuncturist today. I can't quite decide whether its worth giving a go or its just a load of old tosh. Other people seem to have these amazing stories / experiences but I really don't know what to think?

Oh and I think I'm going to do 'ini meeny mini mo' as to whether I take 3 third lot of clomid today or not!!!!

Boodle9 · 27/02/2013 20:33

Bunny It's a referral to the fertility specialist. I just want to know a date in my head - I hate the uncertainty! Doctor reckoned that first thing they'd do is give me clomid.

BelissimaLol · 27/02/2013 20:34

For all its worth I would not bother with cbfm either. Think opk can do as good a job. Plus I was told I got pg a whole week before my smiley impossible as I did not have a shag then so it looks like you might as well put your thumb up to the wind and guess if you are fertile!!

Bunnygirlie · 27/02/2013 21:01

Ah I see, I'm on the blood tests this month so I guess that's the first step for us!

Glad I haven't resorted to temping, I don't need anymore stress! Doing the ov tests is bad enough, especially as when you get your positive it's prob too late anyway.

OP posts:
Pipbin · 27/02/2013 21:06

Soph My honest, honest opinion is that acupuncture is a load of old tosh. I know there are all sorts of success stories but as it has been said before, I liken it to the quote 'medicine is the art of keeping the patient occupied while nature takes it's course.'

Yes OPKs and the CBFM tell us the best time to shag but so much of it is just to make us feel like we are doing something. I have been so desperate that I have done all sorts. I prayed when I was in a church for a wedding at Christmas. I have got crystals under my bed. I am a dyed in the wool, card carrying atheist with no belief in crystals. But still I did it just on the off chance.

And in my honest opinion acupuncture is the same. However, if it makes you feel relaxed, happy and like you are doing something positive then do it.

haycorn · 27/02/2013 21:09

Hello everyone! After much lurking I have plucked up the courage to make my first post. Do you think I could join your ever-so-lovely thread?

Boodle9 · 27/02/2013 21:11

I'm having more blood tests next week, but that's because I've demanded more for thyroid function!

I'm still an avid temper, but I just don't find it stressful. I like knowing I have the sheets to print out as short luteal phase evidence. I don't know if I would have continued to temp though, had I found everything to be OK in that respect. It's just now I know it's a problem, the more evidence the better.

Have a horrible feeling that ovulation day is going to hit before DH returns home. Distinct change in CM earlier. That will mean Cycle 19 is out for a duck and I'll be rolling onto cycle fucking 20.

Boodle9 · 27/02/2013 21:13

Good evening haycorn - what a night to pick for introducing yourself! Smile Tell us about yourself!

haycorn · 27/02/2013 21:19

I know, I did think maybe I should wait for things to get less exciting before joining in, but who knows how much more exciting it could get?!

About me: 30, married, TTC since Sep 2012, AF due who knows when (very irregular cycles - was hoping that was just due to coming off the pill but 6 months on might need to face facts and just accept that I'm a mess!)

Boodle9 · 27/02/2013 21:26

I think that might be our problem...we're all so busy getting stuck in with the excitement on here, we've all forgotten to go and have sex! Grin

I don't know about the pill, but I'm sure I've heard people say that it can take up to a year for everything to properly settle back down - maybe you're just taking a a bit longer?

Pipbin · 27/02/2013 21:34

Hi Haycorn welcome, pull up some chocolate and get comfy.

Boodle when did you got to the doctor. You've been at it damn near the same time as me but I'm much further down the line than you.

Bunnygirlie · 27/02/2013 21:37

Welcome haycorn to the lovely (sometimes slightly crazy) elderberry gang Smile

boodle what is this strange concept you speak of?!? Sex?!?!?
