I also know the feeling of the news you got euro. And the bloody disappearing symptoms - although mine came and went for that horrid week. As to work or not, I chose to soldier on and am glad I did. I found it a good distraction, but I did cry in the loos quite a lot.

Scan is booked for next Thursday. I don't thin I will need it though. Feeling a bit crampy. I'm just hoping the progesterone won't make my body cling on to it. I don't want to stop the drugs just in case but I know in my heart of hearts that it is over.

I woke up this morning to the news that a good friend's terminally ill husband passed away yesterday - I didn't know him well, but my heart is aching for her. It's been coming for years, but I still don't know what to say.

Apologies for the language but my best mate has just texted me to say her dad died during the night . She's lost both parents within 18 months of each other and has her 4 month old to deal with.

She's said she doesn't want to see anyone but I feel I should go round and at least cuddle her. Do you think that would be ok, even though she's told me not to?

I've decided, I'm going round at lunchtime. Her partner hadn't told me not to, he just said she's in shock .

I've ordered a bunch of flowers from her favourite florist so will pick that up and take it over then.

It turns out being ill resulting in staying still and eating toast for several days has done my weight no favours at all. Back to the short commons now. I'm going to take my outdoor speakers into the back garden to keep me company while I hack at vegetation for a while too, that's always therapeutic.
