Conception

When's the best time to get pregnant? Use our interactive ovulation calculator to work out when you're most fertile and most likely to conceive.

The ongoing search for BFPs now leads the BESH to the barren polar wastes, in the footsteps of Scott, Shackleton and Franklin.

Pack those reindeer sleeping bags, huskies and skis - we're off to the Antarctic to look for our BFPs. Unlike Scott, we'll eat the poniez if necessary (topical joke). Let's huddle together through the Antarctic night and we'll try not to kidnap one of the emperor penguin toddlers for our very own. Bring on blizzards, pack ice, shipwreck, attacking leopard seals, voyages across the Southern Ocean in rowing boats and hazardous traverses of South Georgia in search of rescue - just like the Shackleton expedition, NO BESH WILL BE LEFT BEHIND.

(do I win the prize for most random fred ever?)

Good luck Frank and Jeffers !

navis176 · 25/02/2013 09:50

Good luck Frank and Jeff - everything crossed!

navis176 · 25/02/2013 09:51

And thanks for the sympathy guys

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 25/02/2013 09:57

Shouldn't frank be done by now?

Any idea when jeff is being dildo-cammed?

maamalady · 25/02/2013 10:06

It's miz, isn't it, drizz? I have been out and bought tropical juice and cough mixture - I don't care if it ruins this cycle, as being ill is not conducive to sexytimes anyway. Of course I am CD15 today, because fate hates me

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 25/02/2013 10:16

Been out draf? I am impressed. I am considering a walk to the shops, as SB has work stuff tonight and I need to forage. Although I really cannot be bothered to cook, so I might just get something really easy.

It is cd9 here and I should have had a scan to see my SO follies, but hey, that got cancelled and the first excesses of moisture are making an appearance. Sadly SB is not interested in me (and vice versa to be honest).

maamalady · 25/02/2013 10:21

I had to, driz, the cats were contemplating eating me if I didn't provide for them. Also I now have cough mixture :) There is no way I am cooking tonight, even the thought of anything more substantial than yogurt is making me cringe.

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 25/02/2013 10:25

Soz, I am here

Scan was fine, lining still a tad thick, but I'm still shedding (tmi), so it'll be gone in a day or two. That cyst is still hanging around, but has shrunk slightly to 18mm. Got to wait for the bloods to come back this afternoon to see what dose they want me on. Then it's stabby time, again.

No news from Jeff?

Oh and Navis, I forgot to console on your shitty "journey" so far. Have a gin or 5.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 25/02/2013 10:27

Grin at the cats threatening manoeuvres (sp?) That sounds like a worthwhile moment to go out and sort stuff. I promised to get tomorrow's breakfast for SB an me but he never threatens to eat me if I fail. People are a little nicer than cats, sometimes.

Btw just had a leisurely look at AIBU it always makes me smile (and be grateful for my relationship/family/sanity/etc)

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 25/02/2013 10:28

Cd2 or 3, frank? Is the slow shed evidence of CP we thought was going on? Finger crossed for stabby time tonight!

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 25/02/2013 10:30

CD4 here, the nurse couldn't comment about any connection with the possible CP, but she made sure it was on my notes.

EuroShaggleton · 25/02/2013 10:40

Happy stabbing frank.

There seems to be a lot of lurgy on this thread. There is something truely horrible going round at work. I am dreading getting it, as I would be unable to take the good drucks, which seems to be the only way people are managing to feel halfway human. I am getting through a lot of alcohol scrub, going with the idea that prevention is better than cure in my situation.

maamalady · 25/02/2013 10:51

Driz - oldgrumpycat would quite happily eat us in our sleep, I think. Fortunately she's ancient and doddery, so if she makes it up the stairs she doesn't have enough ooomph to jump on to the bed. I have given her food and catmilk and she's sleeping in her igloo - hopefully I will be safe for a while...

Cough is easing a little bit (hooray for benylin), but my back is aching like you wouldn't believe. I am wearing two jumpers, a (thin) scarf and a blanket, and I'm still cold. I think I may abandon the sofa and go back to bed, but I don't really want to lie down all day.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 25/02/2013 11:25

Sorry for Ill BESH :(

Going back to that thread, did we know that her husband left her and sued her for a million?

Hags I have an actual baybee growing!!!! Grin saw its heartbeat & the nurse said it looks like its growing well.

maamalady · 25/02/2013 11:40

Yaaaaaay! Excellent work, Jeff! Grin

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 25/02/2013 11:43

Oh Jeff well done you, and your little Barry Grin

HavingALittleFaithBaby · 25/02/2013 11:45

Fan-Blardy-tastic news jeff! Grin I'm so chuffed for you.

Good luck with the stabbing frank.

EuroShaggleton · 25/02/2013 11:46

Yay Jeff. That is awesome. I am grinning away here!

Rie I did know.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 25/02/2013 11:53

Oh my... You actually got me teary there jeff. Huge enormous congratulations. What fabulous news. Hurrah!

Ta for the strepsils, just infected the whole supermarket. Now nobody will feel the need to eat me in my sleep.

Smiling from ear to ear here.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 25/02/2013 11:54

Well done Jeff & BarryTull! :)

maamalady · 25/02/2013 12:35

I should have known I was not well enough to post on that thread. I'm too tired and woolly-headed to refute people's ludicrous assumptions about me.

RaspberrySnowCone · 25/02/2013 12:38

Yayeeeee for embarryo becoming embabeyo :) wonderful wonderful news Jethro.

Has anyone seen that This Morning are having a fertility week? I turned it on just as they were saying to a 38 year old women she would probably be ok for another fews years despite having pcos and struggling to conceive with her ex husband. Seemed very odd so I'm guessing I misunderstood. Philip and the multi breeder massive baps willabooby annoy me so I turned it over.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 25/02/2013 12:41

Draf, fuck 'em all :(.

That's what I've decided.
