I couldn't bring myself to call her a bitch, we still need her help! Come on ladies, let's do this thing....

OP posts:
SaggyOldClothCatpuss · 01/03/2013 11:11

Fingers crossed for everyone today. Spring has sprung here too but its stil a little dirty in here. But we live in hope! Smile
Ive just been awoken from my drug addled slumbers by a doctor phoning from the EPAU. I dont need to get rescanned next week. My blood results have come back as 19. down from the stalled 145. And it seems that the anomaly on my ovary might have been a corpus luteum!
AND, I can get next weeks blood test at the GP! I dont have to go back there again! And I never am. EVER!

So come on AF, do your worst!

SpanishLady · 01/03/2013 11:21

Hi Fod - am so glad you are out of there and home - I really hope your recovery is fast and this becomes a very distant memory that one day you might allude to at the school gates picking up your kids (not sure why you would but point trying to be made is that you go onto have happy pregnancies!)

Saggy - I am relived to hear your good news and optimism - you have been so upset, it has come across stongly on your posts and it is horrible to think of you suffering further.

So we need the wicked AF to make an appearance and peeps to get on track with TTC so we can obsessively symptom spot and choose delicious cheese and wines 'if' mother nature takes a little time getting her strut on!

fod27 · 01/03/2013 11:31

Glad to hear your news saggy!

Let's hope so Spanish! It would really be the light at the end of my tunnel, don't want to go home just to sleep more of my life away so I've made the fiancé take me for a drive as I am now miss daisy lol xxx

Thunderbuns · 01/03/2013 11:32

Morning everyone. fod and saggy, I'm so glad you're ok and the ordeals are over. This is the turnaround time now so loads of positivity your way that you can leave all this shit crap behind you.

spanish have you poas again yet?

Thank you for the postive thoughts, garden - love them!

choc I'm on cd 8 so we are almost buddies? Get rid of that bah cos this is our month!

SaggyOldClothCatpuss · 01/03/2013 12:09

God I love you guys! Grin

Right you lot, lets get this show on the road!
What's the Friday system? Are we synchronising pee sticks? Hmm

fod27 · 01/03/2013 12:24

Jammy sods! No pee sticks for 6 weeks...Doh
However there will be a big fat takeaway in its way to me followed by a rom com which my fab fella will be forced to watch.... 1 -0 to me I think x

alyant79 · 01/03/2013 12:44

fod and saggy things are on the way up!
takeaway and romcom sounds perfect.

so i disregarded the doc advice and didn't wait for my first AF... dtd last night so here's hoping I follow the spanish footsteps.

Fx for peeing on a stick in a couple of weeks!

fod27 · 01/03/2013 12:54

Awww Alyant....that's tres naughty xx

fod27 · 01/03/2013 12:56

Oh btw ladies listen to this....I spoke to a nurse at the EPU about my concerns after speaking to you guys and doing some research...she was not a happy bunny infact she slated mumsnet and said that as a professional she thinks we don't know what we are on about!

SaggyOldClothCatpuss · 01/03/2013 12:57

Yes, we've been DTD, but I can't see anything coming of it until after AF. Good fun trying though, once I can manage to muster the energy.
We are hampered by teenagers! Our house is small and there isn't much privacy! Bloody dd text ds at 3am the other day saying "sounds like they're having fun", and we haven't heard the end of it since!
Having intelligent teens is great for help, sympathy and support, but the piss taking can be wearing!! Grin Blush
They've been told its our flipping house, it was 3am, go to sleep, get earphones and shut up, or get jobs and start paying the mortgage! Grin

SaggyOldClothCatpuss · 01/03/2013 12:59

Hahaha @ the nurse Fod! Send her over! Grin

SpanishLady · 01/03/2013 12:59

Mrs T-Buns - I have not today! My plan is to see if a digital tester will show forward progress - eg the one on Tuesday said 1-2 weeks so I want to see one that says 2-3 then at least (assuming I am right in my assumptions) my HCG is building.

so I thought I'd need to give it some more time like until tomorrow or Sunday.

I have spent a fortune on testers.

SaggyOldClothCatpuss · 01/03/2013 13:00

Mumsnetters might not know what they are on about, yeah right but they are a damned sight more supporting than the NHS!

SpanishLady · 01/03/2013 13:03

oooh! Fod! I dont think anyone is setting themselves up as an expert - we are just women who have experienced pregnancy, loss and or children and are talking about our experiences.

I have never seen anyone suggest someone do anything I would think was downright dangerous or stupid - and most caveat that they are only coming from their own slant on things as we are all different.

Id have asked her if she had actually been here and participated.

Get off my soap box now.

SpanishLady · 01/03/2013 13:05

but then I personally think Gina Ford is a nutter so just shows its horses for courses

SpanishLady · 01/03/2013 13:31

Thunder - I am ashamed of not adhering to your Friday system (and as already pretty well established have pretty much the same level of patience as that of my 2 year old son)

I have tested therefore - I have moved up a week (eg from 1-2 weeks to 2-3 weeks) my gut feeling is to do nothing until I get to where I miscarried last time eg 8 weeks 5 days then call the midwife - this stems as you might all understand from thinking there is no point getting all excited and into the system for it to go wrong again- not that getting to where I was last time somehow protects me. But if its not a new pregnancy maybe that is dangerous.

fod27 · 01/03/2013 13:33

Hahaaa I totally agree I told her that the most important thing about this site is women supporting each other through the most awful experiences that they will encounter and it helps to share the pain and knowing your not alone and not the only one going through it.

Mummytothearkbuilder · 01/03/2013 13:34

Fod and saggy pleased things are a bit more positive for you today. I am loving the takeaway and rom-con idea - may put the to DH this evening!! Smile

I have had a negative test this week so it looks like we are all clear to start ttc again - we have dtd twice and I am using the OPK sticks everyday as I have such an irregular and long cycles - I am thinking if we try and dtd every other day or so and then when I get a positive OPK do it for everyday for 3 days - can you lovely knowledge ladies tell me if this is a good plan or am I way off the mark??

I have spent almost all my adult life avoiding pregnancy and now I just want to get pregnant!!

Hugs and lots of positive thoughts to you all xx

SpanishLady · 01/03/2013 13:40

perfect plan Mummy in my opinion - good luck!

SaggyOldClothCatpuss · 01/03/2013 13:42

Fingers crossed Spanish!

ChocolateCremeEggBag · 01/03/2013 13:45

Hi all - just a quickie as DH is pestering that we need to leave soon to drive over to my Mums (3 hours listening to nursery rhymes - oh the joy)

fod - sounds like you went through the mill - hope you are on the mend. What rubbish about "mumsnet" - we are a group of people with a shared interest and therefore very likely to know far more than most.

I had my "peaks" on Sunday and Monday - so taking Tuesday as DPO1. Therefore will be POAS-ing from next Saturday and symptom spotting like made through next week Grin

now off to the darkest depths of south west Cumbria - will be back on Sunday evening to catch up. Hope everyone has a lovely weekend xx

SpanishLady · 01/03/2013 13:50

have a great weekend ChocolateCreme!

Bootyboo · 01/03/2013 13:50

Ah now that's more like it! Good to hear everyone is feeling a bit better today - onwards & upwards!

I'm just preparing for a long flight to the windy city Chicago for a week for work, looking forward to a change of scenery. When I'm back it will be around the time to test for me, however I'm sure this month is out as only managed to squeeze in a few love moments. Although I'm majorly stressing about how long it's taking I will be a teeeeeny bit less upset if it's not this month as I want to book a holiday for Aug where you have to be less than 6 months Grin

Have a good week everyone & see you when I'm back xx

alyant79 · 01/03/2013 13:52

ooooh fod I hope you slapped that nurse! (in your head at least)

saggy that is hilarious. Thank god I've only got a 18 month old.

spanish sounds promising that you've moved up. With you on the waiting game - but I'm so nervous about finding an empty sac again that I want to know asap if there is actually something there! I think I'd like to get an early scan at 7ish weeks or so (if I ever get pg again, that is) just for a little reassurance, even though i know that it could still all go belly-up. They told me at my EPU that since i had a mmc/empty sac found at 12 weeks they'd give me an early scan if i want one. Might as well take them up on the offer.

mummy you have more patience than me. that was my plan (minus the opk sticks), but i didn't even wait for a bfn. so naughty. might do a friday test too, just to see if things have changed since tuesday!

I'm sure that I read somewhere that it might actually be BAD to dtd every day. Something to do with the little swimmers needing time to mature. every 2 days was apparently optimal... But i'm sure that's all rubbish. The more the better!

fod27 · 01/03/2013 14:06

Alyant - oh I most certainly did...in the context your referring to of course haha

Mummy it's the way forward ;) did you watch fertility week on this morning? They say every other day, as saving up the sperm makes them sluggish etc and could then cause more probs etc also once ovulating you only have a window of 24 - 48 hours so get as much up there as you can ( sorry to be graphic) plus sperm doesn't live very long whereas the female sperm are slow but get there eventually and the male sperm is fast but dies off quicker - apparently) do get as much up there as you can ....think bullets and bullseyes oooo also get your DH to drink coffee prior to sex that's supposed to give them a boost and his arousal affects motility of sperm too xx
