Magical mystical march bus..... Let's get them bfp's

So after ungracefully falling off the back of the February bus iv hijacked another decorated it with fairy lights and stocked it full of cream soda and oreo biscuits.

Here hoping march brings some much needed sunshine and all the bfps!!

My book arrived today from amazon!

DH was off work today so was home when the postman came... He text me asking if I'd bought him an iPad cos something had come in the post which looked like it could be an iPad in a box!

I text him saying "open it and you'll see"

Hahaha

Yeah wasn't impressed to see "taking charge of your fertility" inside!! Hahah

Hilly- both of those posts made me giggle!
How are peoples other halfs with the whole ttc thing?
This is out first real cycle of trying and I think he is finding it all a bit odd having to dtd for a reason! I try not to say too much about it but wonder how long his keenness will last before he starts getting all pressured!
Wondered what others experiences are?

I got two fertility books ( bargains from charity shop!) and must say it's taught me a lot about the whole 'process ' and what to notice so hope it's teaching me the right things!
Here's to a good month for everyone and happy stories I hope!

Haaha it was funny! He sent me a photo of himself holding the book with a terrified face! He said he opened it on a page about cervical mucus and decided not to read anymore! Lol.

It's out first proper PROPER month of trying too and so far my hubby is enjoying getting to dtd a lot more than usual!

The last 5 days we have dtd every night and last night he was finding it a bit hard towards the end... And stopped... I made a joke and was like "nooooo u can't stop! Today's the best day!" And we had a laugh about it and somehow he ended up "ready" again and we carried on lol

Normally I don't think we could manage dtd 5 nights in a row but I've been off work (shift worker) and he's been doing early shifts meaning we've have long evenings at home together during my fertile week which was lucky!

I think my DH has already worked out that we are been most certainly dtd for the last week FOR A REASON but he says he doesn't feel pressure and to him it's an "enjoyable challenge" lol!!!!
Good thing is that when we dtd other times in the month he knows its more because I/we want to for enjoyment rather than because we are TTC!

My DP feels a lot of pressure Sad He struggles to ejaculate sometimes and we've only done it a few times at the 'right' time each month. I'm in it for the long haul!

Gilly you are lucky- me and Fiancée are also both shift workers so times don't always tally up! Not sure he was best pleased menwaking him up at 2 am Monday morning when I got in but O had just occurred (I think) so had to de done! Haha.
Sure he will appreciate lots of dtd in the long run!!!

Hey all

Hmmm ((big huge sigh)) after Dp being a trooper the last two days he's now out of action, the flu has hit properly now and he's ill.... I don't think we'd manage to raise the flag never mind get the job finished.......
I may go and look at ticket prices for the April bus .... :( but I won't buy one just yet, not feeling very positive for this month though.

I went for every day last cycle and on the day I think I ov'd we did it twice and I found it hard to keep it going and make out I really wanted to dtd bit just to get pg, this time round I'm going to try every other day, do you think this is alright or not enough?

wardy the cycle we got our bfp we actually dtd less than usual, we missed OV day completely so it is possible. FX for you.

wardy it is fine to dtd every other day. For DD we were only every 2-3 days. This time round I am more desperate. The two months we managed to bd from around day 10 till ov, I got a bfp. Our efforts are mainly hampered by illness, work trips. My ff app recorded some pathetic attempts like twice for the entire cycle!

Oh crap.. Ended up having an arguement with DH last night and didn't dtd which is annoying because I think it was O day for me!
Dtd every day for 5 days previous to that though... Hope that's enough!

Going away for a few days today to visit family and back home on Sunday (without DH cos he couldnt get the time off work and quite frankly after the mood he's put me in I don't care!)

Good morning all,

Should be gilly swimmers can live for 3-5 days. I'd try one or two more times though just to maximise - read below.....
The SMEP has quite high success rates (for ladies becoming preg ASAP after MC for those that don't know but anyone can follow) and it says dtd every other day from around day 8 then when you get a positive ov dtd that night plus the following 2, skip a night then dtd once more.

I'm a little more positive today - could be something to do with the fact that I got woken up in the middle of the night with something sticking in my back (Sorry TMI Blush) Dp had a 10 minute break from his flu and we managed to send in more swimmers :)
Oh the wonders of lemsip :)
Hopefully we can give it one more shot then we're done for this month and 2ww looms Confused

Morning ladies. Not been on for a few days because I've been busy sleeping. The minute I sit down I fall asleep. That and having to pee every hour on the hour are my only symptoms to far..

As for people panicking about dtd, the cycle I got BFP we only dtd on cycle days 7, 8, 9, 13, 14 and 16. According to my cycles app I should have ovulated on cd 12 but got negative opk. I did however get ewcm on day 18. I didn't get a BFP until cd 32 when AF was due day 26. I suspect I just ovulated late but means I am not sure of my edd and will have to wait for the scan..

We dtd cd13,14,15,16,17....

I got an OPK and EWCM on cd17 after a few days of negative OPKs although the line was getting darker by the day.

Argument cd18 (yesterday) which meant I went to bed in a mood so no dtd last night lol and I'm going away today til Sunday so no more dtd for me til next week and ov would have definitely been and gone by then!

Annoyed we didn't dtd yesterday as it was our last chance before me going away but Nevermind.. Hopefully I'm still in with a chance! X

No worries Taking it has only been one cycle. It took 4 months to conceive DS, so I remember how crazy TTCing can get, and I'm trying to be more relaxed. Failing though Grin

Sorelip I tested bfn when AF was due - didn't get my BFP until 5 days later.. It's not over until the witch gets you.

Hi all, I'm out I'm afraid. AF arrived just now- over a week late. Bit gutted as this is the first time in my life I've been late without being PG so was getting hopeful. Sad Ah well, think I'll just have to have a Wine instead.
Good luck to everyone on the March bus- I'm off to join the April one I guess.
