Magical mystical march bus..... Let's get them bfp's

So after ungracefully falling off the back of the February bus iv hijacked another decorated it with fairy lights and stocked it full of cream soda and oreo biscuits.

Here hoping march brings some much needed sunshine and all the bfps!!

Im so baffled...dip in bbt over the weekend, positive OPK yesterday, today is CD18 and still no rise in bbt.

anyone charting? when do you get a rise in bbt?!

My tracker on my phone has finally kicked in today and said I ovulated on cd18. My temp dipped on the day of ov and went up the next day (by about .3).

Does that help?

I'm going to temp for a few more months just to see if this thing is accurate but if it is then I have a luteal phase of 8-10 days which is not good Confused

Hi babyfaker - i have the same concerns! My AF is due around the 25th so my luteal phase is getting shorter by the day! Although IF i ov yesterday/today my luteal phase would still be maybe 12-13 days which is ok..... but Im not sure if i did ov yesterday! SO CONFUSED!
Had the EWCM and positive OPK but still no rise in bbt. no idea whats going on really!
DTD as much as possible during this time and poor DH thinks his willy is going to fall off LOL!

Are you using a tracker thing or just jotting the temps down? I have Fertility Friend on my phone and this morning it popped in lines on my chart to say when I ovulated etc - I wouldn't have guessed cd18 on my own I don't think as temp rises seemingly so small.

Maybe you will get your rise tomorrow morning depending on what time of day you ovulated?

Hi yes Im using fertility friend app and also "my cycles plus" app on my iphone Smile

i added the details to "my cycles plus" app yesterday that I had a positive OPK and EWCM and it added an ov line for TODAY.

the fertility friend chart still hasnt got any lines though!

Wait and see what happens tomorrow i guess!

I had a very weird cycle last month, got positive OPK on cd17 then AF was 19 days late. It's poss that I had LH surge which the OPK picked up but didn't release an egg which delayed period. I thought that if you ov late that doesn't necessarily mean your luteal phase is going to be short you could just be having a long cycle.

That's something I've heard but not saying that's true

Penny31 you can have cm after you've ovulated too, doesn't mean you're only ovulating now. And CD 17 for ovulation is not the end of the world, don't worry.

Can someone explain how you temp & use OPKs?

If we are not lucky this cycle then I might think about starting but don't want to get to paranoid iywkim.

I've not had to before as been very lucky to fall first month with both DD's, so this whole waiting months is new to me and can understand the frustration some of you feel in the months and months of trying and nothing.

queenofclean have a look at the charting tutorial on fertility friend. I read it via the app, but I'm fairly sure it's on the website. It's very very good.

You will need a bbt thermometer. They have 2 decimal places. You can buy it with OPKs on eBay. Though I have given up on IC OPKs and got myself a clearblue fertility monitor. It is supposed to track two hormones instead of just LH.

gilly relax a bit on the date of ovulation. It doesn't mean you have a short luteal phase until you know when your AF is. That means not another 10-14 days. You could have ovulated late for a multitude of reasons, including stress. I remember luteal phase is only a problem if you have less than 10 days. But I think someone upthread said 12 days. If most people are that accurate, we wouldn't need the help from OPKs would we?

I have ordered some opk's. I have decided not to stress too much about my seemingly short LP just yet. I will see what happens next month.

Considering taking vit B6 because it supposedly helps lengthen your LP phase. Maybe I shouldn't jump the gun just yet though. I am not good at being patient Grin

QueenofClean I use Clear Blue OPKs. They're more expensive than others but so much easier that taking your temp everyday and trying to figure out your patterns. You pee on the stick around the same time everyday (from about CD6) and you will get an empty circle on most days. One day you will get a smiley face (it tests for raised hormones) and this indicates that you will ovulate in the next 48 hours. You don't need to continue to test that month once you've had the smiley face.
And that's it.

Well i got my blood tests back and all the receptionist said was "All normal and no further action needed" What!! I still have no period, action is needed. So i took it into my own hands and researched inducing menstruation. So i have been drinking parsley tea. Apparently it relaxes the uterus and stuff.

HI Wardy! I wasnt sure myself until I got some yesterday! (Funny you dont pay ANY attention to these things until you start TTC!)

It was completely clear (like clear gel) and stretchy.... it can stretch an inch or so between 2 fingers... NICE!
