So after ungracefully falling off the back of the February bus iv hijacked another decorated it with fairy lights and stocked it full of cream soda and oreo biscuits.

I always thought dec/jan wouldnt be the best time to have a baby but tbh I wouldnt have stopped ttc because of it. All things going as they should (everything crossed) this little one should be due 7th November, an early xmas pressy. Grin

chocoloulou33 · 03/03/2013 11:50

What cycle are you on now delia let's hope its our turn next x

BabyFaker · 03/03/2013 11:53

Congrats motherofcleo!!

I'm a frequent name changer so know you from the other buses!! Wink

You'll have a little bonfire baby. Lovely.

It's best to be the oldest in class. In England that would mean July and August borns have odds stacked against them at school. They are more likely to struggle, not picked to sports team etc. they found the difference still exist at university entrance. I think this is the shocking bit, given we intuitively think it would matter at reception, and shouldn't by late primary.

If you work on that principle, you are left with sep-nov, then feb to start of jun Grin

OneLittleToddleTerror · 03/03/2013 12:45

bajas July to September good for nursery places when you return to work too! I had so much trouble last time because DD is a spring baby. All the good nurseries told me they have their main intake at September, but have spaces from August since many would leave early before school starts. DD ended up at my third choice until September! And I put my name down before she was born.

Bajas · 03/03/2013 13:56

Hadn't even thought of that one! Hopefully we'll get our bfps soon and not have to worry about it Grin

QueenofClean · 03/03/2013 14:02

Those talking about Christmas babies. DD2 was born on 22 Dec 2011 and all is fine. Obvs we are hoping we are lucky this month for a Nov baby but if luck has us down for a Dec baby it will be due around DD2 birthday.

Tinkerbellefairy · 03/03/2013 15:09

I really hope I haven't caused any offence about Christmas babies. I appreciate that if I had been trying a long time then I would not be bothered what month it was. It is just mine and hubbies personal choice at this stage of trying due to speaking with friends born that month who have had trouble organising birthday parties, received one present rather than a birthday and a christmas present etc and so we are thinking more of the child rather than the potential of me being in hospital over Christmas. Although again pur friends are perfectly happy people so nothing wrong with being born then either. Plus seeing as originally we were planning on waiting till December to start ttc then fortunately we do have luxury of being picky for just one month but I do appreciate others may not have this luxury. I'm also a teacher and from experience there are some chn who do struggle a little because of being August babies but equally some of the August chn are also some of the brightest in class so really does depend on individuals. Again really sorry if I have caused offence- that was not my intention! Out of interest are there others considering missing next month?

I've missed the March bus too ladies. In the queue now for April as AF arrived early (making 27 day cycle this time- been a bit varied since AF returned after stopping pill last year). AF arrived during what was meant to be a nice meal in a lovely restaurant last night. To make things worse we were sat at a table next to a heavily pregnant lady talking to the waitress about the forthcoming birth of her son. I know I shouldn't be jealous, but I soooo was!! Gutted gutted gutted. Also gutted for all you other ladies having their nice weekends ruined by AF arrival.

...Also had the thoughts about a christmas baby, but we would like a child so much now I don't think I can bare to try and wait. I'm 31 in a few weeks so want to keep things moving, especially as would like at least 2 children.

My updated details. Marie 456 (wish I'd thought of more original name!) TTC #1 Cycle 5. AF/BFP due 2nd April (my birthday week, so will either be am amazing one or a sh*t one)

JellyBeanDavey · 03/03/2013 15:25

Here I am, jumping on the march bus even though my ticket was for February bus. Now day 48 and nothing, not even a cramp in sight.

Will be testing tomorrow morning if I remember. I very much doubt ill get a BFP.

Any BFP for the march bus yet?

OneLittleToddleTerror · 03/03/2013 15:36

Jelly I think there are a couple. Welcome on the board on the 'clinging on from Feb' deck Grin

Skinnywhippet · 03/03/2013 15:58

Hi,
TTC number 1. Came off implanon a week and a half ago. Been using opk and had a surge yesterday and been dtd around this time so fingers crossed. Not sure hubby can cope with dtd again tonight but might have to persuade him! Would be amazing to get bfp on cycle 1 but anything can happen!

QueenofClean · 03/03/2013 16:00

We won't be missing next month if we are not lucky this cycle. We didn't think about timing when DD2 was born but it all worked out fine. Smile

dutchyoriginal · 03/03/2013 16:12

Can I still join? TTC #2, cycle ?? as we've been trying on and off for about 9-10 months, but my cycle is weird (and short). What is BFP exactly?

Bajas · 03/03/2013 16:17

Big fat positive- what we're all hoping for!

dutchyoriginal · 03/03/2013 16:19

have been off the pill for over a year, but must admit that big part of our problem is the lack of bedroom action. DS sleeps veeeerrrrryyyy badly ever since he was born, both our jobs too stressful (so lots of work at night), DH a morning person me a night person (so makes it harder to go to bed at the same time), and my period is rather long with a short cycle (loads of blood loss for 7 days, cycle varies somewhere between 21 and 26 days, so we should to start DTD while I'm still 'enjoying' AF, not really appealing, but I guess we'll have to get over ourselves).

BTW, I'll be 37 at the end of April.

dutchyoriginal · 03/03/2013 16:20

Ah, non-native speaker, so had been trying to think of all sorts of combinations. :-)

dondon33 · 03/03/2013 17:23

Hi all joining the bus ((Waves)) welcome and good luck :)

I'm currently cd4....patiently waiting to start the OPK's again and quite bored at the moment.......on the plus side though Dp is slowly coming round to my way of thinking regarding this Dr Shettles malarky ( Remember -He want's to do it for a boy, I'm not arsed :) and I think it's going to take much longer to get a BFP AND he still might not get what he wants ) I have a few more days to work on him :)

Where you from Duchy ? or is that a stooopid question and your name gives it away? :)

R.E - Xmas babies.... I had thought about it, I had a few friends who had bdays right around Xmas and they said it was crap! but it's not enough to make me avoid it completely....I'm more concerned about the weather here in winter, this years coldest -25 last years was - 30 Shock and the snow is horrendous. I lost count of the amount of times I have slipped and landed on my arse good job I'm well cushioned :) but I would literally be mostly trapped indoors when heavily preg and weeble like in that kind of weather :(
My 3 dc's are all summer babies and those of you from the UK know - summer there is not so bad, more uncomfortable while heavily preg - except with my dc1, that year was an Indian summer Shock

Hope everyone's well, including the little beans we already have here :) x

LondonSuperTrooper · 03/03/2013 17:32

Hi all, I'm de-lurking to join the rest of you Smile

I'm currently CD19 but not expecting a BFP this month. My DH has been having issues in ahem, performing! I think that the pressure of actually doing it is causing him anxiety and we just can't DTD Sad We are hoping that he will be given something by the GP when he sees him tomorrow. Fingers crossed he'll be OK for my next cycle. We have missed 2 cycles due to not DTD.

Regarding the Christmas babies comment - personally I will carry on and hope for a BFP regardless of the EDD! I'm 39 years old and have problems in conceiving so I can't afford to be choosy and skip a cycle or two. Plus I've had a miscarriage and with recent issues of DTD, I just want to get on with it IYSWIM. I just want a healthy baby!

gillian1986 · 03/03/2013 18:10

Popping my head in!

AF has been and gone and I'm ready to really go for it this month!!!

My iPhone app and calculations suggest i should be fertile/ovulating from around Wednesday so... I'm gearing myself up for a week of dtd! ;)

Also got opk's this month which i havent used before so interested to see if they match up with my calculations!
..........and got conceive plus lubricant this month too haha... Used it yesterday and seemed to be good! ;)

Re Xmas babies, I really don't mind when my baby is born as long as he/she is lovely and healthy and wonderful! I'd love a baby ASAP (like most people ttc) and would actually love to be coming to the end of my pregnancy in autumn/winter rather than summer.
I'm in London and can't deal with the commute and underground in summer normally... Let alone when I'm pregnant!

So... I'm hoping this is my month! Good thing is that me and hubby are really enjoying dtd lately... More than ever... So that helps!

Good luck everyone! I think it's going to be a good month!!!!

I've also got a job interview tomorrow so.. Fingers crossed!!!! I need a change in work and this is a good opportunity ;)

xoxox

dondon33 · 03/03/2013 19:15

Good luck Gillian both for the job and BFP :)

Hi London welcome aboard :) Hope the Dr helps you.

OneLittleToddleTerror · 03/03/2013 19:21

Hi london how long have you been ttc? If it is a year already, I believe you could start getting your GP to refer you to a fertility clinic already because of age. I'm 38 so I can understand the feeling of clock ticking away. Hope the doc can help your poor DH.

gillian1986 · 03/03/2013 19:21

Thanks dondon.. Hoping I will conceive soon although not sure how work will feel about that especially after possibly getting a new job haha!

But I am soooo stressed in my current position and the hours/shifts/work are causing me a lot of upset.
So.. This new position is better hours and more relaxed. So whether I conceive or not, it will be really good for me! Fingers crossed Smile

ELA88 · 03/03/2013 19:28

AF due tomorrow...am actually really nervous! I really don't want it to come but I have had really terrible moods today and yesterday so think she's well on her way! Have argued with my dh more this weekend than the whole time we've been together! Xxx

dutchyoriginal · 03/03/2013 20:56

hi dondon33, yep, the name gives it away, I'm a Dutch mnetter, living in the Netherlands. A British friend told me about AIBU and I was hooked afterwards. :)

Don't like the idea of a December baby, also because of the amount of family parties etc., and the weather, but given my age and the age gap with DS (2.11 now), I don't want to lose a cycle.
