I'm off to put up the Christmas tree much to MATVs disgust. I think he thought he had a reprieve but no such luck. I bought all his presents so feeling festive. I spent £91 and got LOADS of stuff, very impressed with myself :)

Norf I think you could conceal the stabbing paraphernalia. Everything is quite small so if you just took what you needed for the week it would be ok. When is your first stabbing day?

Tip you've done well with the present buying. I was in town for 2 hours and then it got too busy so I came home - via the posh deli where I managed to spend a tenner on cheese. I need to find a different route home.

Our house is all decorated too. - I got given a tiny (live) tree by my nephew two years ago, and he'll be excited to see it still going strong. We're having small people to stay tonight. I am going to have to sneakily stab myself while SB entertains them in the living room. Not sure about hiding the drucks from parents, unless you have your own fridge. At least mine need to be kept cold. Perhaps you could claim to have gone on a crazy diet or something.

Get well tippy! I concur with more sleep. I did go home, had a quite evening, went to bed at about 11pm and woke up at 9 this morning, nearly late for running (which I do with a club/course at the moment). But I made it, and it was loads of fun and we went for a cuppa afterwards.

I like the festive humbug! I read back and have no idea what you all said on the second page. Post and read I suppose!

Now I remember, so sorry bluer. It must be very difficult. Feel free to off-load on here, nothing can bring her back, but you are totally entitled to be as miz as you need to be!

There is great pressure on everyone at Christmas ans New Year to have the time of our lives and too often it's so difficult.

We have decorated with glee given that last year our house was a blackened wreck and my Dad was a bit bah humbug about decorating. We've finished all the shopping now - bought a gift voucher today and I'm done. I have the advantage of days off in the week though so I went last Thursday to avoid the rush.

I am starting to feel better, doing more round the house and ventured all the way to Tesco (furthest I've been in a week).

thanks for the fishy hugs etc everyone! Ach i'm ok just gets you down sometimes but its good to have somewhere to come and let it go. I do feel there's so much pressure at this time of year to be having the happiest time etc but reality means that you miss everything more!
I put up our tree today and had the wondering about whether next year we'd be diffed or even have a baybee to spoil. Its nice to have the dream, although I had the same one last year.
On a more positive now i've succesfully concluded the pressie shopping! Am i'm thankful we aren't here at xmas so I don't have to worry about food shops...we'll just do a slightly larger shop tomorrow and that will do us

This will be my third "maybe there'll be a baby next year" Christmas .

Just thinking - there was a BESH who was TTC for over three years and got her win without any stabbing or drucoks. Her mn name was LaurieLou and she was 38 when she got diffed. So was ChoChoSan. So was Scorpette. PollyPoo was 39 and so was MsFC. One BESH sneaked in and got two wins over the age f forty.

We are not old and we are not completely barren. Hurrah! Here's to the BESH! Go us!

I think Lisa will go to. She has had a brilliant run of it though and has thoroughly enjoyed herself I think. Massive credit to her for proving the less-than-wafer-thin people can dance and dance well.

Bit of a jump between wafer thin and Lisa Riley! I love her - she's great. I think she should carry on - she must be so much fitter and healthier now.

My third 'maybe next year' Christmas as well, though only my second 'bollocks I'm not diffed' one. We have a 3 foot tree on the table in the living room. I am feeling very bah fucking humbug because I haven't had a day off work for almost two weeks and haven't had sechs for a months, and none of my friends get in touch with me first any more. Bah fucking humbug.

We started TTC at Christmas. Terrible idea because every Christmas reminded us of that....last Christmas was the worst! We are and aren't finding out. We are hoping they will write it down for us to open at Christmas I think it's a girl.
