I will purchase expensive peesticks tonight on the way to work, then test when I get up tomorrow. This buys the droid almost a full extra day to make an appearance, and in the unlikely event of me being diffed gives hormone levels another day to rise.

He's missing the point. We talk so much about the pressure for the poor men, people tend to forget how intense the pressure is on women too. Sometimes we crack - hence my response to his comment which any other day I'd have been very sympathetic towards but not this week.

The pressure is predominantly on the woman, I reckon, what with all the tests and suchlike. It's just that it's easy to see when men are not feeling all there - women can hide it but for men there's nowhere to hide.
