I think dh and I could do with a break but just like you two
It would always be in the back of my mind as its something we both really want. So it's not really a break.

I did try this month with by doing opks and not telling dh when he has to supply me with his goods. Just trying to enjoy it iyswim.

Pfft

HayleBoppingAroundTheXmasTree · 14/12/2012 14:49

I'm mid 20's so fortunately I do have time on my side. My need is as great however.

Creamtea1 · 14/12/2012 17:06

Hayle sorry I didn't mean that anyone under 35 didn't have as much need, that's come across wrong, sorry. Just meant that it's like an added niggle in your mind that what if you're too old, what if any irregular periods or not ov'ing is because of menopause or something (basically just one more thing to stress about!)
I hope you see what I meant, sorry that it came across differently

Mu51cal · 14/12/2012 18:25

Ok ladies - in need you all to send me some good luck vibes!! My ovulation stick thingy (can never remember all of the flipping acronyms on here!) has turned dark blue today so I'm commencing a week of constant shagging!

Anyone got any last-minute tips on increasing my chances of conceiving??

Right then...off to have a quick power nap before the action starts!

Wish me luck Wink

HayleBoppingAroundTheXmasTree · 14/12/2012 19:05

cream don't stress! I can imagine the added pain when time isn't on your side. I do think myself lucky I have that at least.

My mc had caused the irrational thoughts about conceiving!

navis176 · 14/12/2012 19:08

Yoo hoo! How is everyone? The good news from here is that I have finally had a RL mince pie Xmas Grin

I bought a RL yule log today! Wonder if it will last till Xmas eve... Hmm

Fuls · 14/12/2012 21:42

im on cd20 but i feel like ive been getting my period all week
cramping in my tummy and back, aching legs, craving chocolate and now tingly boobs! my cycle so far after having my implant removed has been between 27 and 35 days is it possible to have such a short cycle??? this ttc malarky drives ya crazy

JellyCurls · 14/12/2012 23:14

Mu51cal keeping your legs in the air after dyd is supposed to encourage the swimmers to reach the target.

For taking a break from trying i stayed away from ttc forums, ate the wrong foods and drank way too much a litle alcohol

LoveBeingAMrs · 15/12/2012 10:19

So i took a test this morn (fmu) it came back with the faintest BFP, like theres defo a line but its sooooo sooo faint! Dunno how to post a pic for second opinion!! ..Could it really be?? x x

padster75 · 15/12/2012 10:28

lol @ Jelly ......... 'keeping your legs in the air' .......... That's assuming mine are in the air to start with Xmas Grin

mu5ical that's my kind of week

taking you have made me roar with laughter at the 'F off again', sounds just like me on a good day without the shitty back

hayle sorry to hear af got you too ......... fx we can both hit the jackpot (legs in air) on the Jan bus?

Sorry if I have forgotten anyone else's news, but by the time I scroll down the page and start typing I have invariably forgotten a) what I wanted to say and b) who I was saying it to ........ Wine

kazzaq · 15/12/2012 10:35

Hello, can I join?
Got my bfp this week after an ectopic exactly a year ago and a mmc in May. Quietly hopeful that this one will stick.

extracrunchy · 15/12/2012 11:04

love and kazzaq congratulations!

extracrunchy · 15/12/2012 11:05

I'm 12DPO and spotting Sad think it's probably AF on the way

navis176 · 15/12/2012 11:31

love and kazzaq - congratulations! (love - even a faint line is a line!!)

Jelly - lol keeping legs in the air - OH keeps encouraging me to do that - even suggested handstand cos apparently that worked first time for one of his mates Xmas Grin

creamtea - eat it now!!

crunchy - or implantation spotting?! - fx

not much to report here - prob about 9dpo but really don't feel like this is my month for some reason... Xmas Sad

kazzaq · 15/12/2012 13:08

Love I had a faintest of the faint line at 12dpo had to squint to see it but at 14dpo it was their in all its glory.. they say a line is a line

Pixie001 · 15/12/2012 14:23

ooh love i really hope it is a line for you! test again tomorrow and let us know!
kazzaq congrats and fx for a sticky bean
hayle crap and bother. try not to let it spoil your xmas as it's such a special time. hope you can let your hair down and enjoy yourself so you can re-energise mentally and physically for a new year bfp
fuls it's annoying isnt it when you spend so long trying to stop getting pregnant that you expect to get upduffed immediately. sounds like you're still in irregular cycles, it can take a little while to settle down so try not to stress, nature will sort herself out when she's ready.
navis i'm same stage as you 9dpo..also nowt to report. not that i'm symptom spotting (in line with rule 23 or whatever it was!). if no bfp this month i'm trying handstands! Xmas Grin

LoveBeingAMrs · 15/12/2012 15:56

Thanks crunchy navis kazzaq and pixie
Im so excited .. Really trying not to get hopes up to muh but keep telling myself a line is a line!! Lol! Cant test tomorrow as im working overnight and will wake up at work but will retest monday!
Really hoping this is a good omen for the bus and theres lots of successes! Baby dust to all! :-) xx

setayharas · 16/12/2012 03:46

Hey everyone, I'm technically out this month as didn't do it once of thefertile time, and actually got my first every positive okp. We de used that with Xmas and oh night shifts beat to wait till we can both commit 100 % didn't mean I tried. Why is it even when u know ur on a break af sighs are heart breaking

I hope everyone gets the bfP they want and I see no one in the jan thread!!

pinkbuttons · 16/12/2012 09:34

Hi all, planning on heading over to the January thread soon after having a month of having to obsess in silence off.

just wanted to pop in and say Congratulations to all BFPs and Good Luck to everyone still waiting!
taking really sorry to hear about your back. Mine is slowly getting better but have been doing those core stability exercises like crazy from the physio. fingers crossed its better sooner than you think.
Will be keeping an eye out for more BFPs soon!

extracrunchy · 16/12/2012 10:33

Full on AF here... Will probably be on the January bus but going to try not to count days. Will just be dtd every other day and hoping for the best! (And also hoping my froufrou doesn't fall out.)

Creamtea1 · 16/12/2012 11:42

Right ladies, can I have some opinions. Last month my cycle was 25 days. The month before was 37. This month we dtd on cd5,6,7,8,10,11,12,13,14,15,18. Pllllllease can we stop now??! Have I done enough? No opks so don't know when ov'd but if looking at cm would have said around cd10-12. No cm now at all (cd18)

polkadotsrock · 16/12/2012 11:59

Can I join please?? Albeit a little late... Oh and I think I might have half a pack of mince pies and possibly 2/3 a bottle of wine to pass around < lazy cow can't be arsed to shop >

Dh and I decided to start trying this month but as usual he was a little slow in making his mind up and do I think we missed our window. Fwiw I would be due to test somewhere around the 23rd to th 26th- got disgracefully irregular cycles since stopped bf. I'm actually a touch confused so think will use opks next month, I think I ov'd cd14 but my last 2 cycles have been 32 days so was expecting it later...

Anyway I'm probably rambling now coz I've spent all morning reading about TTC and have only gone and got myself obsessed already

Mu51cal · 16/12/2012 13:55

Jelly - 15 mins!!!!! 15 mins I've been waiting afterwards with my legs in the air!?!?! The things we do to get a bfp! Needless to say the lights remain well and truly OFF! Three more nights to go! Bfp due 31st so will let you know if it has worked!

Smile
