Yes, they love me... I have a great clicky thing that gives a little shock, then put on antihistamine. But the only thing to do really in Not Scratch (am v bad at this). The ones here are small, quiet and fast. Ie much harder to kill than the whiny big slow ones I'm used to. But at least these don't have malaria...

keepitgoing · 28/11/2012 11:57

I might be keepjinglingthosebells if I can figure it out...

Right, off out for dinner. Soft shelled crab, prawns, fried rice, anyone??

WinterSolstice · 28/11/2012 11:59

They love me too Keep, nothing I tried worked though! I once had an impressive neat row of about 12 on my upper arm! Itched like hell though!!

MissLToeishavingsantasbabyboo · 28/11/2012 11:59

Oh dear Keep that sounds like it is no fun :( I remember going to Thailand when I was 15 and getting eaten alive. No help at all just thought I would share :)

sparks lovely, megaquick post as busy busy busy today - hope you are feeling a bit better now, and keep up with the cake and sweet drinks (preferasbly not artificially sweetened). If I remember rightly you've had a few of these dizzy spells haven't you? Would it be worth carrying a packet of dextrose tablets around with you for when you are feeling a bit iffy? That's what MrGeek has to carry around in case he has a hypo, which is essentially what you've had if you've blacked out due to low blood sugar. The advice for him is to take two tablets as soon as he feels iffy (sweaty, numb, tingly lips, can't think straight, dizzy, tired, any combination of the above), then check sugar 10-20 minutes later and take another 1 if necessary. Eat simple carbs (cake, fruit juice, lucozade) as soon as possible after recognising the hypo.

boo how the heck do you do the blank posts? Please spill, I have seen so many people do these and can't figure them out Sad

Will try to post more later!

WinterSolstice · 28/11/2012 12:01

FFSMary Thats exactly what happened, My head went funny, then I started to get all clammy and sweaty, and the my limbs went a bit weird, numb I guess, then it just all went down hill from there!! Im shattered now!!

Yes Hmm I do seem to becoming a bit of a fainting pro, 3 times this year, well 2 proper faints (with paramedics involved) and one episode where I just started to feel funny, but took evasive action (got mrsparks to pick me up and then slept it off) I shall def look at those tablets!!

Bit pissed that my midwife has no helpful info/advice for me, other than she'll talk about it at my 16 week appointment Hmm Im not saying anythings wrong with me, but a little medical advice would go down a treat right about now!!

BeedleTheBard · 28/11/2012 12:44

You lot have "written" so much since yesterday I thought someone must have announced a BFP or something :o

sparks hope you're feeling better

will write more later, I'm having a busy day today

MissLToeishavingsantasbabyboo · 28/11/2012 12:50

Ok, I will share cos you ain't asking any more so it is no fun to keep you guessing
It is really simple, you make the message look like I have below, no words, no anything, just what you see, 2 at the top left, a few clicks down on the return button then 2 more (the more you hit return the longer take blank message will be) so it looks just like ................

MissLToeishavingsantasbabyboo · 28/11/2012 12:52

Hahaha, it works on normal messages too Grin ok, try again, you put 2 of these in the top left then you hit return a couple of times then put these voila one blank message!

MissLToeishavingsantasbabyboo · 28/11/2012 13:17

this thread will be full in no time Grin we can do it!

BeedleTheBard · 28/11/2012 13:24

I think the blank message used to work with 4 *
But when I tried that it just said I wasn't allowed to post a blank mesage, maybe they haven't realised about the [[

Anyway if we want a Xmas thread we could of course just start a new one - I don't think that there's any law that says we have to get to 999 posts before starting a new thread Shock :o
