Hi y'all, Welcome to our new meeting place :-) Let's refresh as usual -

Bunnygirlie - 32, married, TTC since June, due to OV this week according to app

You see I post stuff like this and now I need my own advice.

TMI KLAXON TMI KLAXON TMI KLAXON

So those who have been following the failed TTC exploits of lover, adventurer and inventor Pipbin will know that I have been spotting for the last week.
Well just now I had proper red blood but most of it was like EWCM with blood in. After that, nothing. What do you reckon Elderberries? Is it day one? I'm inclined to think not as it wasn't proper red flow.

janey1234 · 29/10/2012 20:03

Ah Pip I'm afraid I don't know, but properly laughing at you being a lover, adventurer and inventor!

Pipbin · 29/10/2012 20:30

I invented the Pipbin-patented-method-of-telling-EWCM-from-gentlemanly-emissions I'll have you know; TTC is something of an adventure; and as for lover, well it's all I seem to bloody do these days.

janey1234 · 29/10/2012 20:35

Fear not I remembered and have tested your EWCM invention! But the addition of the adventurer and lover to your title really finished your title off perfectly. Grin

Pipbin · 29/10/2012 21:13

I was channeling I think.

Bunnygirlie · 29/10/2012 21:35

Pipkin you are ace!

janey1234 · 29/10/2012 21:39

I'll second that bunny! Hilarious Smile

Rache1S · 29/10/2012 22:29

Good evening Elderberries, hope you are all well?

I am still not feeling very knocked up so I thought I would pop on here and try to absorb some of your symptoms as there always seems to be so many flying around Grin

My Midwife phoned me today to introduce herself and book me in for my first appointment on the 14th November. She was very matter-of-fact about it all. I have to say in these early stages of the biggest thing to happen in my life so far the attitude of the NHS is nothing short of underwhelming

Pipbin · 29/10/2012 22:40

Nice to see you back Rache. I guess it is every day for them isn't it. We are excited for you, even if they're not.

Now I've made a rod for my own back here as I need to keep you ladies laughing! Laugher is the best medicine and all that jazz.

Rache1S · 29/10/2012 23:18

I'm not going anywhere Pip, I have just had a busy weekend and not had chance to get online (and my phone will let me read but has stopped letting me post for some reason). I am staying put until everyone gets their BFPs! I have got absolutely everything crossed that you get yours soon, even my eyelashes Smile

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 29/10/2012 23:38

pip you are a riot [hsmile] And your Patented Super CM/ Fluids Of A Male Persuasion test actually works [hsmile]

On a different note- Poor prodded boobs remain stubbornly non -tender. I remain in rude health, no nausea or stomach twinges apart from the imaginary [hgrin]
Have rationalised this and feel a lot better-
A. From the job POV, the later the better, ideal BFP timing would be sept next year
B. will have more savings the later it is. Since will have to go back to work at 4 months, child care will be a killer. Till then I get to save that amount at least.
So I will stop moaning. good intentions die quickly

Pipbin · 29/10/2012 23:41

Well AF has properly arrived now.
I'm going to count it as tomorrow because if the clocks hasn't changed it would have been, or something.

Pipbin · 29/10/2012 23:44

Zombie, how many DPO are you? I'm in the same boat leave wise as you.
Here's hoping we all get our BFPs next month and we can do the whole thing with company.

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 29/10/2012 23:47

pip I don't know if I'm honest! According to My Days or whatever the app is called, I'm about 6 dpo. By my assessment of EWCM it could be 5 dpo.

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 29/10/2012 23:49

Here's hoping too!
(But I am mentally ready for a bfn now. So we'll see.)

HazleNutt · 30/10/2012 08:06

Morning! Rach, how's the puppy doing, waking you up in the middle of the night too, for practice?
I think the morning sickness is about to kick in here, luckily still very mild -feeling like I had just a little bit too much to drink yesterday. Really thirsty as well.

I have a new issue, how not to tell everybody by accident - I mean I need to mention the pregnancy sometimes, like yesterday when I went to dentist. Then came back to office and when colleagues asked how the dentist was, almost mentioned casually that oh fine, but he didn't use any anesthetics because of the pregnancy..oops.

Bunnygirlie · 30/10/2012 08:29

Not getting my BFP this month is a right pain, I could just about get away with not telling people over Christmas as I don't drink that much although avoiding Stilton would be a problem but it's my birthday in January and I usually have a big party with lots and lots of alcohol and there is no way I can get away with not drinking then!

Talking about alcohol I have decided to give it up for a while, (to the outside world for weight issues) to see if that makes any difference. I also hope hubby will cut down as he does like a can or two in the evening,I have sent him an online article to nudge him in the right direction lol, have bought him some zinc tablets too - Any other ladies made their OHs change their lifestyle?

OP posts:
janey1234 · 30/10/2012 09:05

Similar to you bunny: suggested he should cut down (he didn't really) and bought him some zinc vitamins (in the form of bassett vitamin sweets, guessed it was my best chance).

Slept until half five this morning which was VERY GOOD INDEED. God knows how I would cope with a baby as I really don't cope well when I sleep badly. And the first 'normal' symptom seems to have appeared - incredible sore nipples. DP is very helpful and suggested I stopped touching them if they were sore! But I can't help myself - makes it feel more real somehow?

So who is in the 2ww at the moment then? When are BFP's/evil AF due? I'm getting confused - maybe we should try and bring back the handy little league table?

Pipbin · 30/10/2012 11:07

Well I'm on day one of my final cycle before my BFP. Positive mental attitude and all that. I WILL get my BFP at the end of this one.
Off to the clinic for the official results of my HSG and clomid tomorrow.

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 30/10/2012 11:08

I've been making mine have zinc supplements, which I have to give him or he forgets. It says "skin, hair, nails" so started off ostensibly on that note Smile

For the past couple of months, I've gone off the booze to a large extent - just a drink or two with friends once in a while- and cut down to about 10% of my normal caffeine intake. Have also upped oily fish intake FWIW (does that make any difference?)

Pipbin · 30/10/2012 12:27

Oily fish seem to be good for most things.
I'm sure that all they teach doctors now is to say, 'eat plenty of fruit and veg, get plenty of exercise, don't drink, smoke or get stressed'. That seems to be the standard cure all.
"Broken leg Mrs Smith? Eat more fruit and run about it bit."
The irony of it all is that doctor and nurses are the worst people for eating crap, smoking and being stressed.

Quodlibet · 30/10/2012 13:05

I bought mine zinc tabs but he never took them. In fact other than obliging at Red Alert Sexy Time mine didn't really make many concessions for TTC!!

Rachel I don't have any real symptoms either. Zombie - take note, there might not be any symptoms in the 2WW or indeed after! I did have a much more definite line on my internet cheeeepy this morning though so things are moving along apparently.

Janey/Rachel/Hazle/Purple are any of you feeling a bit strange that even though something MASSIVE has happened, everything feels exactly the same?!? I think I could easily be persuaded at the moment that I dreamt the pee sticks.

HazleNutt · 30/10/2012 13:07

Ah yes, the one size fits everybody advice.
I do a lot of sports, but am not exactly skinny. So doc of course assumed that he should lecture me about the benefits of exercise during pregnancy - you know, do some gentle walking, swimming..

I said that I actually teach aerobics classes - you know, bodypump, combat, zumba..ok to just continue that as I don't like swimming?

HazleNutt · 30/10/2012 13:09

Quod bit differnt for me (and Janey) as I was certainly more excited when I got pregnant the first time. After the mc, you don't allow yourself to, not the same way. It's more "Well, so far, so good.."

When do you have your first scan? Will feel more real then.

janey1234 · 30/10/2012 13:32

Haha quod re Red Alert Sexy Time - think the caps are fitting!
And yes, it feels totally weird. DP found me checking two of the tests in bed last night - because it doesn't feel real at all.... He says the same, won't believe it until he sees a scan!

hazle that's hilarious - clearly you can't be fit unless you're a size 8. I was the same last time - I think my boobs deceived him - he suggested I 'start' some exercise - at the time I was cycling 13 miles each way per day to work! You should have told him you were planning to just sit on the sofa and eat cheese for the next seven months.
Impressed you teach zumba. I tried it once, and my friend was actually crying with laughter next to me, I got everything completely wrong and out of time. She said I was just a mess of limbs (I'm 5 11 and all my height is in my legs...). I think it was one of the most humiliating experiences of my life...
