Morning all.

Mummyoftwo12 if that was an implantation bleed you won't get a bfp for a good few days yet. It takes a while for the HCG levels to rise enough to give you a bfp. I'd test again on Monday or Tuesday then. Only about 30% of women get an implantation bleed, fingers crossed you're one of the "lucky" ones.

Have just had a very strange conversation with a RL friend, told her we were thinking of starting to TTC and she asked me if we were waiting so we didnt have a summer baby, apparently summer babies dont do as well at school?? I have never heard this before and wouldnt stop us anyway, at this point I would appreciate being pregnant whenever it happens but was a bit surprised Has anyone else heard this? I was a summer baby and didnt do well in primary school but never put that down to when I was born.

Hello lovely ladies!

Been loitering about in the first few loooong days post ovulation, not had much to say but have caught up with all your news. for all of you who have dreaded AF visit or are in limbo.

I'm impressed with all the cake and goodies doing the rounds here. I am very happy to partake in the virtual snacks as in real life I am in the healthy eating /little alcohol /vitamin taking zone!

Am now 5dpo and hoping the next week flies by! Not sure if anyone is interested but the soya isoflavones supplement that I took days 3-7 really increased EWCM and for the first time I had ovulation pains so I'm hoping they have augmented ovulation.

I'm 6 dpo i think the weight is driving me mad lol been feeling light headed since Sunday night on and off .and constantly feeling knackered my poor DH has been getting the sharp end of my tongue bless him cos ive felt crap lol . so either i have caught some virus and the symptoms havent fully come out yet or...... im remaining on the fence i dont want to be dissappointed

pinkbuttons what a silly thing for your friend to say! There's a rumour around about summer babies and school. As an ex primary teacher I can confidently reassure you it's rubbish! The only basis for this - and it's still tenuous - is that summer babies are usually the youngest in a school year, and when they're little at primary school there can be a bigger difference between the kids born in the previous September and the kids born in July, but it all evens out by secondary school. If anything it just means your child will be academically stretched when s/he's a bit younger! Don't stress

pinkbuttons Summer babies may find school a bit of a struggle in the younger years, but that's because they are younger than the rest of their class and might not be as further along in their development. It's not because they were born during the summer, it's because of the cut off dates for schools ifywim?
Children that are born between 1 September 2012 and 31st August 2013 would all be in the same year at school even though there could be almost a year between their ages.

Does that make sense?

I'm definitely out anyway. AF's here with a vengeance. Since I have a 34 day cycle I won't catch an end of November BFP so thanks to all of you for all your support and being so entertaining, and maybe see some of you in the December group.

thankyou to you both for reassurance, the sensible part of my brain was mostly telling me she was being ridiculous but the emotional part of me had a horrible feeling was setting future DCs up for trouble at school should I be lucky enough to get pg this month.
The only time Id rly rather not be due would be christmas, DS was due on 3/1/12 and spent new yrs eve in hospital, also would make chrismas/new yr/ DS's birthday even more expensive!

pinkbuttons if you end up with a summer baby and are really concerned move north of the border . Here we stress about our winter babies as school intake runs the March through to the Feb so my dd is a youngster in class being a Jan baby.

Dexi I tried Soy and had lots of ewcm (tmi - sorry) for a change. Now at 7dpo and got sharp side pains and lots of cm. Also got crampy pains so not sure whats going on. 1 week to go to find out though...

Well chook I have POAS and got a BFN.

DPO 16 (ish, give or take a day each way) cd30 so going to wait until w/end and POAS again then if AF stays away.

I now have tits like tender rocks, mood swings to die for ............ literally and odd goings on with ablutions!

Boooooo padster I will keep everything crossed that its just a shy bfp and af stays away!!

Well I just got another bloody bfn :( starting to think its not gonna happen :( sorry to hear it mumbags xx
