Big fat f*s to those who have just had the witch rear her ugly head..

Had a day in today instead of a catch up with a fruend(we were going to do gym, lunch & then spa treatment), but ds was poorly...had to strip him down to his nappy as he was burning up. Lots of cuddles from him though (albeit sweaty!). He's totally fine now...running about like a madman when dh came home, making me look a fool, the wee cheeky monkey!

Sorry if tmi but is it possible to ovulate twice in the month? Had a smiley in opk on Monday, nothing yesterday & then again tonight (felt a bit 'wet' so wanted to double check)?

Sorry to hear AF has come for some...I'm quite sure I'll be joining you in a few days, am still spotting (although less than last month, which I'm taking to mean that things are settling down after my MC).

How gard is it not to try and find 2ww symptoms???
Last month it was my bbs and I could swear they were bigger.I even got cross witl my long suffering dh when he didn't agree...
This time is nausea....I don't know how but every other day I feel nauseous and think...tadah!!!
I am ( usually) a "together" person...

Granny, you can get positive OPK's when you're not OV when your AF is imminent (I get these) or if you're pregnant (google is full of 'using OPK as a HPT' hits)

Yeah sure granny i had cramping after ov, dizzyness, mayonaise craving acne, bumps around areola, weeing alot and the other day was very iritable

I'm paranoid about next pregnancy being twins as my mum was a twin...as was the father of my best friend & that's exactly what happened to her with her 2nd pregnancy...she now has 3 lovely girls but I will never forget the shock in her voice when she told me! Obviously it will be a complete blessing if it ever happens but would mean a whole new house, car etc, so kinda hoping that doesn't happen.

I feel kinda bad writing that actually, when there's a fair few on here who've had an absoluteky shit time trying for their first...but just thinking practically. But should defo stop thinking about it as no BFP yet!

I don't think i have ov'd yet unless it was last week when i had loads of cm (tmi!) But that would be ridiculous as i'm on cd14 now and was pretty much a reliable 32-35 day kinda girl last time around.

Anyway i have mega spots going on and i have been quite literally exhausted since sunday but i'm sure working nightshift and dealing with a stroppy toddler is more likely to be the culprit!

Should maybe clarify that i mean my cycles were usually around 32-35 days not that i ov'd then!!

Ooh, Granny, I inserted a random 'last' before your Monday in your post, it's odd to get a negative inbetween 2 positive.
Did you do the OPK's at the same time everyday?
You're more likely to get an inaccurate reading with morning wee than afternoon;
'First morning urine is usually not the best for OPKs since your LH surge usually begins in early morning when you are still sleeping and may not be apparent in your first morning urine. If you test in the early morning, you may miss your surge entirely since LH levels may already be reduced by the next morning.'

With you on the twin thing. With DS still so young (and us not being able to afford more than 1 more dc) twins would be mixed blessing for us. We'd make it work, obviously, but if I had the choice between 1 or 2 babies, I'd go for one!

MrsWajs, that does sound really early for ov.
My last cycle (I'm around 32-35, ov 16-19-ish) I ov'd late (22-25), so you may still be waiting for it!

Quick opk question...
If I Ovu'd today would it be norm to produce a positive opk it is that just leading up to ov?

I had ewcm today so did an opk as I've not started them this cycle yet (cd9 and tend up start them cd10 for expected ovu around cd14) and it was neg? It's too early for me to ov surely!!

I ov'd on cd29 (!) when i conceived DD so anything is possible for me! Just means dtd regularly throughout the month rather than my favoured approach of wild shagging for the week in question then nothing else for the rest of the month! Possibly why it took so long to get upduffed the first time round!

I try to start as soon as AF finishes but find by the time in probably ovulating were shagged out!
DH works really long hours and I work 32 plus looking after dd (3.9).

horse no I tested at 7pm each evening...I guess it could perhaps be beginning & end of the surge that's causing the smileys? I guess I'll keep testing for a few more days & see...you are very much the guru on these things [hsmile]. Handy knowing you on here [hgrin]

I stopped mini pill in Sept, and not yet had an AF. Bfp due two weeks ago?? Bfn's despite boobs aching, tiredness, etc.

I may need to transfer later to the December bus, are ticket transfers allowed?

Well today is my day to test....unfortunately I wont be able to until Friday (consequences of burning through the two FRER on 11 & 13 dpo.) Welcome aboard Delia - tickets are non refundable I'm afraid, but can be transferred to December if needed :) hopefully this is just your body adapting to lack of mini pill, or (even better!!) that you are pregnant already. Do you have any other children?

Well, evil AF has finally turned up 10 days late, all very strange! Was very unwell last month so I think it's just screwed up my cycle, will just have to DTD a lot and hope I can get it in (Oooh, matron!) at the right time :)

BFP Woke up early and couldn't stop thinking about it do poas and bfp! Af was due tomorrow. Very excited and now a bit scared as dd is only 8months old and I had bad ms and severe SPD last time. Ah well. So so happy. Decided not to tell anyone for as long as possible (or ms takes over and I need help with dd)

Had cramps and feelings of fullness since 3dpo, headaches, wet feeling, sore nipples and waves of nausea last 2 days.

My head is totally all over the place! Dh and I decided that when we were going to have another dc we would not let it rule our lives, just get sex on the agenda as much as we could and not worry about certain days! Cue yesterday, when I thought I may be ovulating (no symptoms at all this month- wondering if down to soy?) anyhow I put a bit if pressure on and he refused as he has the man flu. But I can't help being annoyed as I feel it's a waste of a month but then I feel bad as he is ill.

It wasn't meant to be like this. sorry for the overly self indulgent post!!!!
