Ugh Pixie - your last post reminded me of one of the lessor "joys" of being pg is that you are more susceptible to colds, bugs etc. weakened immune system as your body allows the little bean to grow in you, and when you do then get a cold, all you can take is parapooingcetamol. Yep lemsip is out

My office is full of the soldiering on types who then infect everyone else with their stinky bugs mini rant over [hbiscuit]

paah · 30/10/2012 23:18

Jeez we talk a lot!

pixie I'm sure it was confirmed by a genuine genius scientist doctory person that a cold definitely maybe means your getting a bfp. Or something like that.

Friday it is then. Much hand holding required the other hand please, not the stick one ta

Angie607 · 30/10/2012 23:56

Gingerpanther27 · 31/10/2012 06:09

But toffee ice-cream....ooh :) angie i think it was you offering it round can you send a bowl round here please?

TakingTheStairs · 31/10/2012 07:26

Morning all

pixie and chocolateteabag I could be wrong but I'm fairly sure the basic lemsip that only contains paracetamol is okay. It's only the max lemsip / extra strength ones with codeine & caffeine that are bad

Also, on a separate note, to whoever said earlier in the thread that you can eat and drink what you want for the first 12 weeks as the baby doesn't take anything from you until after this.. This is SO incorrect it's not even funny. The first 12 weeks are the most crucial for development and what you eat and drink has a major effect during this time. Sorry for the lecture but that kind of wrong information could be dangerous.
Lecture over. Smile

I might be wrong on the lemsip btw, check the packet in case, but I am not wrong about the 12 weeks [hwink]

Cd 25, af due any day now really and so far this cycle starting pritty much from just after suspected ov day, have had cramping, servre dizzyness, back ache, acne, pink spotting, mayonaise craving (very strange i know but cant get enough of it and have previously hated it my whole life), weeing more( so annoying spesh at 3am), consipation, bumps on.boobs.

Hai1988 · 31/10/2012 07:32

mumbags · 31/10/2012 08:04

Not much to report here, DTDing just now so keeping busy! Wink

chookford · 31/10/2012 08:16

Good morning everyone... how are we all doing?

Taking you are very correct about both the lemsip and the 12 weeks! There are also quite a few strong painkillers that can be taken whilst pg but obvously only for certain ailments! I had a lung infection at 8 months pg with Nellie and had some kick ass painkillers that were awesome! Grin I also had the very worrying time of being drunk for 2 weeks solid (holiday) then finding out a week later I was 8 weeks pg... I rushed to the doc who explained that whilst it was not ideal 2 weeks should do no long term harm it is more continuous drinking throughout the weeks that can cause some damage...if that helps anyone!!!

esme80 · 31/10/2012 08:17

pixie fwiw i got bfp 1 week ago and have had cold symptoms for 2-3 weeks now, blocked nose and sore throat in the mornings. So def pg symptom!

Angie607 · 31/10/2012 08:52

hai yeah that should be ok for your next wee,
Is dizziness a symptom? Because last night I was wrapping Xmas presents (I know!!) and all of a sudden it just felt like my head had fallen off iykwim and I had to put my hands on the floor to steady myself even though I wa sat down! An i had a little more cramping aftery bath last night but just on my lower left tummy?
Xx

Hai1988 · 31/10/2012 09:16

Absy · 31/10/2012 11:55

Hi - well, this morning I've been feeling nauseous and a bit dizzy (but I had dizziness last month and it didn't lead to anything). I've also had a couple of pimples, which I don't normally get. So, I'll see. But the nausea is something

chookford · 31/10/2012 11:59

taking my lovely am so sorry to hear that but its not over yet... dont give up until af shows up

Absy fx that its good news soon!!

TakingTheStairs · 31/10/2012 12:02

Thanks chookford, I'll try to keep my hopes up but I don't think it's going to happen.

Absy FX for you, it is sounding super positive.

OP posts:
chookford · 31/10/2012 12:06

when are you due af taking ?

Pixie001 · 31/10/2012 12:39

Sad bum. Cold symtoms for me are unfortunately just that...a cold. Af has arrived today, day early. It's only cycle 1 so trying not to be too disheartened but it's still crap.

On brighter note, I have saved myself the cost of wasting another stick plus I get to stay on the bus for another Nov attempt - cycle 2 29th Nov. Wow that seems like a long way away!

Fx for you other snifflers that symptoms bring better news!

Hai1988 · 31/10/2012 12:46

Sorry to hear that pixie and dont give up yet taking

chookford · 31/10/2012 13:22

Pixie boooooooooooooooooo so sorry to hear that!
