We filled the last one so I thought I would start no 2.

I agree Nic, if you read my post while still getting bfn I had bleeding gums, never normally and metallic taste, I also had those weird pulling pinching things, the sickness was after I'd had the very faint frer test though, however on a weirder note my first blood on the Thursday 6 days after frer + it was only 20, I had the + on digi 2 days before aswell which is only surposed to register 25+ and surposed to double every 2 days hows that for strange?

kittykatsforever · 15/08/2012 09:33

Ohh I never read the posts before as writing mine but I don't want to raise people's hopes unessisarily but this genuinely was my experience and no I've never had the symptoms before or said I have I openly admitted I didn't have them with mc or until with dd

kittykatsforever · 15/08/2012 09:35
  • later with dd, and sorry for spelling Blush
KickTheGuru · 15/08/2012 09:39

I will join the "baby dust" brigade - but only on this thread.

Kittenkatzen · 15/08/2012 09:44

kick I'm not a lawyer-y type, but have dealt with a lot of recruitment consultants, and personally would suggest you should still do the other interviews. You have nothing to lose by going, and everything to gain (by covering your arse in case the first offer is retracted, and also you never know what spectacular offer one of the others might have up their sleeves to blow the current one out of the water).

I would be up front and just tell everyone that you've verbally accepted an offer already but are happy to have a discussion with them if they still want to meet you. Think of it as bridge building for potential future moves :)

KickTheGuru · 15/08/2012 09:45

I hate interviews. And neither of them are as good as the one I'm going for. The first one isn't a great product while the company sounds nice, but they won't be able to move as quickly as I would need.

The second is erm...a public transport provider through the UK but it's a contract until December...

Kittenkatzen · 15/08/2012 09:50

^"Yes, it is rare, but it DOES happen. Maybe I'm one of the special ones.
Or maybe my body is just playing tricks on me. Only time will tell."^

Just to chuck my tuppence worth in....I think that this ^ shows that nic is keeping a balanced head about things. I don't think there's anything wrong with being hopeful and excited and discussing possibilities/anecdotes etc. Equally there's nothing wrong with being much more cautious about things and playing devil's advocate. Everyone's personal view is valid imo.

:)

redstrawberry · 15/08/2012 09:59

Kick completely agree with kitten - recruitment consultants are not to be entirely trusted. Just go with the flow - you know you already have the offer, no harm in going for the other interviews and being honest. I was in my interviews and the culture in another firm actually changed my mind and I joined them instead as I hadn't signed the dotted line with the first offer.

nicola really hope you find out one way or another. Its crap being in limbo land and that tiny sliver of hope wears us out.

woody17 · 15/08/2012 10:06

kick I'm not a lawyer either but I suppose if you go then if something were to go wrong with the other job (although I'm sure it won't), you would have other options...although it sounds as if you might not want the other ones? It seems like you are an attractive candidate to these companies so I would do what feels right for you.

Does anyone have any tips for getting rid of nausea?

redstrawberry · 15/08/2012 10:11

wash your face with some cold water woody although no guarantees that the make up wont wash up if you wear any :)

Are you late?

redstrawberry · 15/08/2012 10:12

drinking water, eating some more keeps it down a bit.
I find a walk and the fresh air also helps.

woody17 · 15/08/2012 10:17

Thanks red

No not late... Nausea started really badly yesterday afternoon. Was retching last night and just feel so bleugh... Can't even face going into the kitchen as even the thought of food makes me feel even worse.

Think I've probably just picked up a bug or something...

redstrawberry · 15/08/2012 10:25

How far along your cycle are you? Hoping its not a bug and something else instead ;)

Kittenkatzen · 15/08/2012 10:26

I find that sipping flat coke (regular not diet) helps when I'm feeling pukey. Also open a window and let some fresh air in, stuffiness makes it worse.

Hope you feel better soon and it's not just a bug :o

woody17 · 15/08/2012 10:36

Thanks for the tips

Because I'm on the wtf cycle, I'm not totally sure where I am but I am pretty sure that I ov last week or even the weekend before. I think it's too early to be getting nausea but that isn't stopping me hoping

KickTheGuru · 15/08/2012 10:40

Yeh second for flat coke. Or ginger biscuits.

Or semen if you believe that Yahoo article the other day! Grin

I was lying in bed on Saturday morning and I started to feel a nauseas and I was getting excited and was just about to tell my husband when he said; "I feel sick. I think it was the food last night"

CRASH back down to earth

redstrawberry · 15/08/2012 10:45

I had itchy boobs and nipples yesterday - took clothes off to find bra lace thread coming off - which explained the itching.

CRASH back down to earth too Grin

KickTheGuru · 15/08/2012 10:47

Ok am going to the other interview but it's only a backup and to get the recruiter off my back. He talks a LOT.

Right now though, if you put (big brand) and (little brand) on a table in front of me, I would take the big one.

I have about 3 very well-known brands on my CV (again - brands that you would know and use) and I find people are very keen to hire me based on those brands. The unknown brands - they don't really care about. They don't mention them too much. I really like the intake of breath when I mention my last one as well - it's that well known.

For that reason alone, I would take the offer I have now.

KickTheGuru · 15/08/2012 10:49

HA HA red

My boobs are so sore. I can't tell you how sore they are. I can't even lie so that gravity pulls them down. It's like I've pulled all the muscles.

shakes fist at the sky

woody17 · 15/08/2012 10:50

I saw that article kick - DH was very excited about it.

DH asked if I could be pg last night due to this nausea - it takes a lot for me to not want to eat! And I felt so horrible, I couldn't even bear to cook something for him. There is nothing that I've eaten that he hasn't and he is fine. It's probably just my stupid body/hormones playing tricks on me and giving me some hope that of course I will cling to until af arrives

I've ordered some super drug tests today (as people on here keep saying how sensitive they are) and I'll probably do a test on Saturday, although I think this is probably too early. But I have a night out planned and wouldn't drink if I know I'm pg. It's hard to know where I am with this wtf cycle!

Newbie2 · 15/08/2012 10:50

Morning! Still Bfn and no AF show from me. I have zero symptoms so not expecting BfP anymore. Really looking forward to my blood test on Friday now to get things moving.

Nicola you've had two normalish Af's since coming off the pill so it's totally normal to think that you may be preggers. It is more common then people think to get a BFP 1 week after AF is due, ladies just don't speak of it very often. If you had zero symptoms like me then I would say it is highly unlikely but in your case I think you should book yourself in for a blood test for the same day you already have an appt booked otherwise you'll have to go back again! What do you think to that idea? If you're not pregnant then, they will be able to check your hormones out which will benefit you in the long run as you can just ring up for your results.

woody17 · 15/08/2012 10:52

Good luck for the interview kick glad you've made a decision about it all.

KickTheGuru · 15/08/2012 10:56

Argh nausea is hell. Sorry guys. Hope you get BFP soon!! :)

NicolaHazel · 15/08/2012 11:21

Yeah, that may be a good plan, Newbie.

My doctor is lovely so I'm sure she will do whatever is best.

At least I should generally know what is happening by then.

I want either AF or BFP. Almost not fussy which now!

Meanwhile my dizziness continues!

KickTheGuru · 15/08/2012 11:24

Random question but have you had your BP checked? It could be related to a pregnancy but it could help explain the dizziness? If you're pregnant, you could have a drop in blood pressure?

Not sure though but worth a pop out to Boots at lunchtime? They do them there?
