Time to move over ladies. Would love to start this thread by announcing my BFP but unfortunately I can't because we all talk too much to get to test date!

All going for gold medals in baby-making and bound to get there soon, aren't we???

Newbie2 · 25/08/2012 11:48

Well Nicola I need to do a bit more unpacking and then went DH gets home I'm marching him off to the bench shop. Couldn't stop thinking about it in my sleep so I know it's the one Smile

NicolaHazel · 25/08/2012 11:58

Ha! Glad you're getting it :-)

Newbie2 · 25/08/2012 12:01

It's my TTC treat Grin

NicolaHazel · 25/08/2012 12:08

Good :-)

Just completed my Clearblue diary for the week. I feel like I should be shagging more now we have to send a stranger a diary about it!!

Newbie2 · 25/08/2012 12:19

lol what? you have a cb diary? Were you tempted to lie lol (pointless I know).

NicolaHazel · 25/08/2012 12:22

We diary collecting samples, OV tests and pregnancy tests in one diary. And shagging in another!!

I won't lie. Just feel inadequate, ha ha!

Talyra · 25/08/2012 12:49

Yeah, one ovulation a month but according to TCOYF you can have more than one LH surge a month if the first attempt at ovulation fails, so helps with the being optimistic/driving yourself mad.

I'm cheering myself up by reminding myself I have three parties coming up and I'll be able to drink at them because I'm not pregnant yet. But DH and I ended up looking at cute baby videos on YouTube this morning. Broodiness in overdrive at the moment - normally only get this bad nearer to my period. Temped to take vit C to bring on period a bit early but that can induce a miscarriage apparently - even though I'm not pregnant I don't feel like I can do it. What's that anout? Confused

NicolaHazel · 25/08/2012 13:05

God, who'd have thought it would be so bloody complex? :-/

Once again, I marvel at 'accidents'.

Newbie2 · 25/08/2012 14:20

wow Tal I did not know that. That would explain why I got a smiley face a week before my peak on the cbfm! I need to do some research on why my cbfm is no longer asking for sticks since I reset it! I'm watching 'Maternity Ward' on really channel while hunting for curtains online. Why am I doing this to myself? It's just so fascinating to watch!

Talyra · 25/08/2012 14:41

I do that to myself as well! Watched all of The Midwives and One Born Every Minute. I can never get any results on the ovulation tests at all but I think it's because I drink too much water and test at wrong times of day. Plus, I think I only tried one cycle a while back out of curiosity. Maybe I'll try it again and try to match it up with when it ought to register a surge.

Newbie2 · 25/08/2012 14:47

The clear blue helpline is rubbish. It took them a week to get back with an answer to my question last time and I've just gone onto see the FAQ section which is no help at all. The TV advert makes it look like you would get live help. It's not live at all if you're not getting instant answers! Rant over :)

Lolcbcbstrawberry · 25/08/2012 16:01

Sorry u having to rant newbie. From what u read I've gone off the idea of the trial. It sounds way too complicated!!!!
Hope u find the answer soon!

NicolaHazel · 25/08/2012 16:17

That's a pain in the arse, Newbie. Not 'live' help at all.

Here's my rant, just posted on Facebook:

So, I write to Barclays to ask to increase my loan payments. They react as if I am complaining about PPI. I ring and tell them there's a mistake and I want to increase my loan payments. I am told they will come back to me. 2 weeks later, I get a letter chasing up my completed PPI form. So I write an official complaint advising that I am not complaining about PPI, I am, however, complaining that they cannot read letters as I wish to increase my loan payments. 4 weeks later, I get a letter saying that they have checked my loan and as it doesn't have PPI they have closed my complaint, I have to go to the Financial Ombudsman. So, I write to the FO complaining that Barclays cannot read, as I want to increase my loan payments, not complain about PPI. I wait 3 months, and I get a letter. Thanking me for my PPI complaint! AAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

Holy shit...I just emailed them basically calling them stupid and asking for somebody who can read to read my letter!

Lolcbcbstrawberry · 25/08/2012 16:28

Nic I've just pm'd you x

NicolaHazel · 25/08/2012 16:30

It hasn't come through yet :-(

Newbie2 · 25/08/2012 18:24

omg Nicola that is mega frustrating :( My DH has a similar problem with Barclays...same old same old :(

NicolaHazel · 25/08/2012 18:32

I wouldn't recommend them to anyone...fourth complaint in 4 years! And I had to complain to Barclaycard recently too about utterly shit customer service.

Bri has had no problems with them though, and has banked with them for years. Shows how all banks are hit and miss!

Lolcbcbstrawberry · 25/08/2012 18:40

As you know I work for a bank and am a strong believer each bank is only as good as its people! Indeed it is hit and miss. Even for me!
Feel crap. Two friends have announced pregnancies on fb. I know one of them had been trying for ages so I feel guilty for not being as happy for her as I should have been! Might need to open a bottle of wine to cheer myself up Sad

NicolaHazel · 25/08/2012 18:48

I think it probably applies to every business. We've got some shit people too. Especially a girl on my team.

In fact, they're everywhere. It all depends on work ethic and how much you care about doing a good job. Distinct lack of that around.

Do banks have machines that 'read' letters? Surely no human being would have read my letter and come to the conclusion I was complaining about PPI?

Newbie2 · 25/08/2012 20:32

Lol aww that is harsh, 2 announcements at once always annoys me too. I saw a baby scan on Facebook yesterday and ooozed with jeolousy even though it's not even my friend. I swear I'm not going to talk about babies on FB. My friends are either talking about how long they have left to due date or posting daily pictures. I really don't want to become that person :-/

NicolaHazel · 25/08/2012 20:43

It is shit :-(

And the way Facebook works now means that if one of your friends gets an announcement and comments on it, you get to see it too. Great :-/

I really don't want to become a baby bore on there. I fear I am a wedding bore though!

Lolcbcbstrawberry · 25/08/2012 20:52

I was a proper wedding bore too! Somehow I don't think that would annoy or hurt my non married friends as much as all this pg stuff!
I'm going on fb less and less as I can't always update my status with what I'm really thinking.
Today mine would be:
Dear friends, I'm happy you are ALL pregnant or enjoying your babies but PLEASE stop boasting about it as I lost my baby 5 weeks ago and it fu**ing hurts to read all about it!!!!!

NicolaHazel · 25/08/2012 20:57

I'm sorry, Lol :-(

I'm sure it's far worse for those of you who've lost babies.

I really hope you get your sticky BFP soon. X

Newbie2 · 25/08/2012 21:00

Lol big hugs :(

I've been feeling twinges below my belly on the right side all afternoon, sort of like a stabbing pain that comes and goes. I wonder if it is ov related.

I brought the bench. Did not buy cushions as I'm going to learn how to make a bench cushion. Need a hobby other then TTC! Sadly couldn't bring it home so something to look forward to on Monday!
