Morning all, just having a catchup. Busy week here so not be able to keep up completely. CD18 here and I'm pretty sure I ov'd on Friday. I dtd eod CD8 up to friday so should have it covered. Might have to do 1 more just to make sure :) It would be so perfect to get a BFP this time as it would mean the due date was around the time of the date I mc'd and also we would have conceived around the time of a special anniversary for us and my scan would be before the due date of my mc pg. I'm not getting my hopes up as I know my cycles are not like they were before but it would be so lovely.

I'm excited about this cycle and have a good gut feeling.
Spotting is getting heavier and enjoyed the vino last night :)

This month i will be:

1. getting ready to crack open the EPO tomorrow.3000mg a day upto OV.
2. DTD EOD or as often as possible.
3. Lots of winkling post DTD - at least 25mins.
4. Try not to think about TTC for an hour a day!(this will be hard)

Anyone else doing anything different this month?

I'm taking vitamin d, we had some anyway and I'm gona try to dtd for the couple of days before ov too, I'm also gona try to have showers instead of baths around then too, I always have one hot bath aday, it's my me time but I'm betting it doesn't do alot for keeping the spermies alive?!? Anyone else have thoughts on this?

Trying to conceive another but have just posted another thread about how long to keep dtd (I ovulate this Thursday and we've been dtd since Friday). I'm due to test July 8th and can't stop thinking about it!

Not sure kittykat I heard that baths are not good for the man for sperm production...not sure it applies for women being able to keep the sperm going?

Whenshewasbad - I think I'll test 2 weeks today, need to update stats.

Heehee - I would never dtd usually with people in the house but needs must! We were out yesterday and I kept making sure my husband didn't drink too much. At one point he said 'oh we'll just dtd tomorrow' and I said what was the point of spending all that money on the monitor if we weren't going to use it properly? Well done on all the dtd btw and I hope you get your BFP for the anniversary :)

Hi everyone! I'm trying so hard not to crack and test early but I want to know so badly!

I've been guessing I'm due on Sat based on an average cycle of 35 days but cycles have been 30 days in the past and I've heard cycle length can change after giving birth.

So tempted to get a frer or similar and start testing tomorrow! Trying to refrain though....

Just worried I'm getting my hopes up too much.

Oh sunshine some one wise once said if you are pregnant it's not going anywhere so waiting for a few more days shouldn't make a difference

But if you really really want to know then go get a stick! Have you had any symptoms?

It's more that I want to know if I'm not so I can deal and move on. Also if I did a test and I was pregnant then I wouldn't drink alcohol but it seems silly to stop when I don't know either way. But a neg test isn't going to clear things up yet anyway, is it?

I might try to wait a few more days or I might poas tomorrow

Re the hot bath thing. I have no idea if a hot bath is good or bad for conception / implantation, I should find out as I love a hot scorching bath. (let the googling commence).

Ahhh sunshine, if you've got some cheepies why not, you can't defo rule it out it doesnt matter but if yes then itl be great to see it, that's aslong as you won't get bummed out, how many dpo are you?
Thanks Whenshewas I love my hot baths and I have tried to have one before dtd but in terms of the stuff being kept alive for a few days I just wonder if that's been hindering it, funny I've never seen it come up before as we know hot baths for men are out!

Hi all, hope the rainy weekend hasn't been putting a downer on TTC efforts.
Cd 16 today and got a promising opk result this morning (reasonable 2nd line, I rarely get a dark one) so have warned dh that there is more TTC to be done post- football, whatever the result! We have DTD eod for the past week so that's good. Bring on the 2ww!

sunshine I reckon you should test, but remember that a negative will probably mean "too early to know" unfortunately. Good luck!

Cbfm people do you think it offers something over and above combination of opks, cm watch and ov pain-watch? With those I am able to make a good guess as to when I ovulate, do you think cbfm could help me or would it be a waste of £? I'm just thinking there might be a small chance that I don't ovulate till after I think I do, but then again I'm aiming to counter that argument by DTD for an extra couple of days this month.

Hello. Been feeling v down in the dumps today. Got a +ve opk yesterday and today and have managed to persuade DH to dtd four times this weekend but it's all been a bit depressing to be honest, I think I'm just a bit too desperate for a baby. Post-honeymoon blues too. And a grey day. Hopefully I'll snap out of it later - we're off down the pub to watch the footie in a bit.
strawbs - sorry to hear about AF. but it sounds like you have a mighty fine plan for this month :)
sunshine - I think it's a totally personal thing when to test, just try not to beat yourself up about it. I've got a load of ic's so I may well test early this month, but I think if I'd spent a lot of money on 'proper' tests then I'd probably force some extra willpower out and wait a few more days. Plus I think it's more exciting if you get a 'strong' result rather than an 'am I / aren't I?' result. fx for you.
christelle - you made me lol with the 'cool kids' comment . It sounds like you do quite a lot of charting anyway, so cbfm might not add much. Think you're right to dtd for an extra couple of days though. I plan to do that this month if I can.

sorry to hear you're feeling a bit down yikes, wanting to get pregnant so badly can take the fun out of it a bit. I think it's just a negative phase though; be kind to yourself and you'll catch a positive wave again soon and be ready to do it again.
If you take away all the wondering and charting and second guessing when to dtd and hating the 2ww and sodding bfns - what you are left with is really enjoying close times with someone you love who you are ready to have a baby with. I know it can feel depressing but if you think about it like that it might help?

Well, I've ordered a job lot of Internet cheapie tests off amazon... They'll take a little while to arrive, which is good as it forces me to wait a few more days... but after that I'll probably be testing daily - if af hasn't got me first - will keep you posted.

Christelle I think you're right to keep DTD a bit after you think you've ovulated. Aside from anything else, there's always a chance you ovulate a second time 12hrs or so after first ovulation. For that reason, I reckon it's always worth the 'just in cases' shag.

DP is suffering with hey-fever and not feeling particularly sexy but the pant snot has spoken so he's going to have to step up! He's afraid to take tablets as Dr Google suggests there may be a link with antihistamines and both male and female infertility (FWIW it seems to definitely adversely affect CM in women). Reckon ov is anytime now so hopefully he'll be relieved of his duties and get on the meds pretty soon!

I also came across an article about how even a small amount of weekly alcohol (1-5 drinks a week) could impact on a woman's fertility
