Due to the luck thread starters have, I thought I'd mark a place for the second thread as we are so chatty!

Here's to BFPs for us all :-)

DulcetMoans · 22/06/2012 16:29

I hope you have some tests in then! haha. I just ordered 10 from ebay last night. I might have to give up some time though and accept the BFNs!

annabegins24 · 22/06/2012 16:30

you girls make me laugh.
I did a test today for absolutely no reason at all. stupid moo that I am.

Popinda · 22/06/2012 16:41

I have got over 30 tests, so it's quite hard not to test! GrinBlush

Newbie2 · 22/06/2012 20:15

Pop I can't believe your waiting until Sunday! If it was me I'd be on that loo right now! By the way where are you storing all these sticks in the move...in your handbag? Grin

Popinda · 22/06/2012 21:08

I'm so weak! I've done it! I just poas! Bfn! Sad but still very early! I'm not out until af arrives! Smile
newbie I have a special box, almost a size of a shoe box, for my sticks! How sad is that! I really need to hide them and my poas exercises will became harder from tomorrow for about a month as we moving to in-laws, while we waiting for our new house to get ready! We didn't tell them we ttc as we don't know how long is going to take! They will be ecstatic once is happens, as they over 70 and no grandchild yet! We are they only hope as other to sons our almost 50 and they don't have children! Sad
What a rumble I just done! Smile

DulcetMoans · 22/06/2012 23:14

Aw, all the more reason to want that BFP pop. Secret testing though, that's just an extra level of excitement to normal testing! I will be POAS in the morning, just for kicks. Find it weird to think could be not pregnant one day but pregnant the next according to the technology! Strange!

redstrawberry · 23/06/2012 00:11

Lol dulcet that's exactly how I felt last Minh and found myself peeking at a bfn for hours after to check if it turned into a BFP

Fx for you tomorrow

redstrawberry · 23/06/2012 00:11

*month not minh

Newbie2 · 23/06/2012 08:28

OK I worked out last night that it took three of my close friends 5 months of TTC (post pill) before they got their BFP. I don't think they even tried that hard...it just took them that long to go back to normal post pill. If that is the case for me then I won't get a BFP until Oct for a June 2013 baby

DulcetMoans · 23/06/2012 08:56

It's like you've been watching me red, I just checked the one in the bin. Anyway BFN this morning and I think AF might be on the way. But who knows anymore! The Sunday false AF was just her messing with me. She's such a tease!

NicolaHazel · 23/06/2012 08:57

That's interesting to know, Newbie...have to keep that in mind when I'm driving myself mental :-)

Any sign of a BFP for anyone today?

OP posts:
Newbie2 · 23/06/2012 09:20

No BFP for me :( boo hoo

MissMedusa · 23/06/2012 09:39

None here either. At 8dpo approx. 30% of pregnancies show up positive test results. At 9DPO it jumps to 46% and it's all uphill from there.

redstrawberry · 23/06/2012 10:02

newbie and nicola it took me 3 months to get normal cycle after 11 years of pill use.

I guess even if you don't get a normal cycle chances are that you ovulate every month and no reason why July can't be your month Smile

Sorry abt all the bfns Sad

My boobs are no longer sore n heavy so I guess AF is on its way. Same thing happened last month.

Newbie2 · 23/06/2012 10:56

Red thanks for the reassurance! It's not easy to hear/read (only because I'm kicking myself for not coming off the pill pre wedding). I told the Nurse last January that I was desperate to start a family. She told me to come off pill on our honeymoon...she missed out the part where it can take 3 months for the body to recover post pill Angry Sorry just feeling a bit let down because if I'd had all the information I would have viewed things differently :(

Newbie2 · 23/06/2012 10:59

Red will you be using a CBFM when AF arrives? I haven't actually spoken to anyone who has used one yet! Just read that others also have one on standby for when AF arrives :)

Maclairey · 23/06/2012 10:59

Ok you will have to excuse my excitement but................I just got a SMILEY!!!!!!

So my next question is, what does this mean? Will I ov at some point today? Will tomorrow be 1dpo? Should I stop taking Vitex? And this means that my AF or BFP should be in about 14 days right?

I cant believe I got a smiley on cd63!!!

Anyway we have just bd but won't get another chance now til Monday, by that time it will probably be too late.

I am also at a wedding tomorrow and a hen do next weekend so won't be able to get away with not having a few drinks. Will this be ok?

3 days after taking Vitex and I get this? Coincidence? Maybe. To be fair I have only just started doing opks so maybe.

So excited. Although I am beginning to wonder if it's right or if it's lying to me!!!

NicolaHazel · 23/06/2012 11:11

Maclairey...today's, errrm, input of sperm should live long enough to catch that egg if it comes tomorrow, or even the day after :-)

And drinking is fine until implantation (and according to something in the paper this week, even after then), so don't worry about that.

Newbie, that's a real shame your nurse told you that. I'm really glad I've come off it now.

Red, I'm hoping I'm nigh on back to normal, as my first post-pill AF came after a 29 day cycle. But I suppose the next one will show me what's really happening. Assuming I'm not pregnant by then! :-)

OP posts:
NicolaHazel · 23/06/2012 11:12

As in first 'real' AF, as I'd had the 'fake' AF after finishing the pill.

OP posts:
Newbie2 · 23/06/2012 12:08

Mclairey woooooohooooooo Biscuit Biscuit Yay! You've given all us long cycle ladies some hope! Keeping my FX for you :)

Nicola yeah I know! Have to move on now though and except it will happen for me soon enough :)

LisaC2611 · 23/06/2012 12:09

Morning all

So we are back from our holiday and as predicted I'm out for a June bfp Sad. Af came with a vengeance on Wednesday however it does now mean I am piagr (peeing in a glass ramekin) and with hubby's knowledge Smile. He thinks I'm using the opks for epo reasons which is partly true but also to make sure I'm ov'ing and when/if I do we can get at it like rabbits and produce a July bfp Grin

Have there been any bfp's while I was away or anyone still waiting to test?

NicolaHazel · 23/06/2012 12:12

You've got me thinking, Lisa, about what CD to start testing for OV. We are now perfect cycle buddies as my AF came - also with a vengeance - on Weds too.

No more BFPs in this thread :-(

OP posts:
LisaC2611 · 23/06/2012 12:30

Ooh a cycle buddy! I'm actually on cd8 because af started on sat but took till wed to get going properly!

Am testing from day 7 until I get a positive line Grin

NicolaHazel · 23/06/2012 12:58

You only count from the first proper day, I think, Lisa, so Weds would be CD1 :-)

I'll start from Tuesday then. Exciting!

OP posts:
alwyn · 23/06/2012 13:26

I'm on my first cycle post-pill as well and I've been having some nice crampy feelings for the last couple of days - all at the bottom and to the left (my left!) of where I believe my uterus to be. Now trying to convince myself that this is implantation cramps, of course :D

I doubt it is, and I have no concept of when AF will arrive (if ever, judging from some of the lovely ladies on here!), and given that I've been on some kind of hormonal contraception for 14 years I have no idea if I got these crampy feelings before AF before I started taking it!!

Aargh!! Must try not to symptom spot!!

(And yes, I did POAS the other day - BFN, but was only about 7dpo) :D
