Due to the luck thread starters have, I thought I'd mark a place for the second thread as we are so chatty!

Here's to BFPs for us all :-)

Hello everyone and welcome to the newbies.

Sorry to all those that poas this morning and got BFNs, hopefully give it a few more days and they will turn into BFPs.

Nicola I remember "rsvp-gate" very well. We thought we had combatted the problem by sending pre-stamped rsvp postcards with our invites but no apparently that wasn?t easy enough for some people and we still had to make calls. Admittedly it was mainly DH's mates but what can you do.

You are getting married on my brother's birthday, I hope you have a wonderful day. I remember mine so well, I cannot believe its coming up to our one year annivrsary already.

Echo how annoying that there is still nothing happening. I am on second day of Vitex and I am really hoping for something to click and get moving. The worst thing is there is no one in RL I can talk to about it. DH doesn?t really understand and just keeps saying that its perfectly normal after taking hormonal contraception for many years that its going to take a while for things to sort themselves out. No one else knows we are ttc apart from my best friend who has her own set of problems going on and I think is a bit annoyed at me for being a bit obssessed with it all. She just keeps saying, its normal, its normal. I don?t think people really get it until they are actually ttc themselves and she hasnt yet.

Newbie I successfully poacbdos (pee'd on a clearblue digi ov stick) this morning and had no smiley but it was still fun anyway. Gives me something to occupy my mind for the time being I guess. I was just wondering, what is the best time to poacbdos. I do it in the morning because its easier re holding wee in etc. Plus I tend to drink a lot of water during the day. However, I have read that some people test in the afternoon as that?s when they are most likely to get their smiley and if they had tested in the morning then it wouldn?t show. So just for a change, I am a bit confused. I cant really be affording to do it twice a day! It just for the time being anyway because I have a CBFM to use when my cycles get slightly more regular!

Sorry to hear about your shitty luck Medusa I hope you get some good news soon.

Newbie2 · 21/06/2012 11:01

Medusa that is tough. You deserve a BFP really soon. Hang in there!

Maclarey yay I have a POACBOS partner! I am on day 2. I've been doing it first thing too. From my research I think it detects two hormones unlike the cheapies so you have a good chance of catching it first thing when wee is concentrated. I drink about 6-8 glasses of water a day so it was really tricky testing in the afternoon. If I had cheapies I might be more inclined to test twice but that would also make me totally obsessed more then I am now which would be bad!

Newbie2 · 21/06/2012 11:03

Mclairey I also have a CBFM on standby when AF arrives. Glad I'm not the only one who is spending way too much on pre baby stuff !

DulcetMoans · 21/06/2012 14:04

Pop - same here. I did try but still nothing.

I am having some doubts about whether it was implantation bleeding now. Surely if it was I would be able to tell something by now? Not that I can explain what it was. Just feel a bit down about it all now. I'm fine with not being pg but I just want to get on with it. I am sure the ladies with long cycles feel far worse though with all the waiting. Sorry for being so moany!

DulcetMoans · 21/06/2012 15:44

Did I kill a thread? I am good at that... I will be happier, promise!! Come back!

NicolaHazel · 21/06/2012 16:00

Sorry...will be back later...SO busy at work.

OP posts:
Newbie2 · 21/06/2012 16:21

Dulcet this is the one place you're allowed to moan freely :)

NicolaHazel · 21/06/2012 17:09

I am officially having the heaviest period I have EVER, EVER had. It is hideous. :-(

OP posts:
Newbie2 · 21/06/2012 17:21

Ohh Nicola this does not give me hope for the future! Ok think positive thoughts...i know...you can type in your AF dates to predict a possible arrival date :) That's a happy thought!!

annabegins24 · 21/06/2012 17:30

Can I just ask you girls, what is the soonest after dtd you can get an implantation bleed...1 day, 4, 10 ?? and is it usually brown?

NicolaHazel · 21/06/2012 17:37

I'm sorry, Newbie :-(

Honestly, this is awful. My sister said it is just my body having a good clear out prior to a baby, which is a nice thought!

And I suppose 17.5 years without a real period may lead to such nastiness the first time my body has done things naturally since December 1994!!!

OP posts:
Newbie2 · 21/06/2012 17:43

You can have all cheeses, salami, shellfish, alcohol and ibuprofen all guilt free!! Better?

DulcetMoans · 21/06/2012 17:44

Oh, another opportunity to use my newly collected extensive knowledge! Well anna, there are certainly plenty of reports of it being brown and darker. It's not meant to be heavy but it might be darker. I think it was 4-10 days after ovulation. I think... Most reports say there are no cramps but some mention the same feelings you would usually get for AF so it's hard to tell. Said it shows in a home pg test after 4-6 days from the bleed.

NicolaHazel · 21/06/2012 17:45

Oh yes!!

I'm off to a gig on Saturday so will be nice to be able to drink. We also have heavy-drinking house guests, so I can join in! :-)

Sorry to be miserable, but I'm a bit stunned by this :-/

OP posts:
MissMedusa · 21/06/2012 17:47

anna the soonest you should should be able to get implantation bleeding is 5 days after conception. Do you know when you OV'd?

annabegins24 · 21/06/2012 18:12

missmedusa dont have a scoobie.
Think I'm being a bit optimistic here I only got the implant out last tuesday.
All I know right now is that I've had a darker bleed and some serious bloat... at least I can pretend I'm pregnant.

EchoDragon · 21/06/2012 18:57

Nicola sorry to hear your having such a rough time. Must admit not looking forward to my first proper AF in five years.

maclairey Vitex has had no noticeable effect here. Still it has only been four days. Must have more patience. Hmm

Can't see that happening.

Am feeling the need to order Clear Blue ov sticks now.

Newbie2 · 21/06/2012 18:59

Nicola doesn't sound fun so we'll let you off :)

Newbie2 · 21/06/2012 19:15

Echo Join our smiley club :) you know you want to!

NicolaHazel · 21/06/2012 20:28

Hey, Echo :-) Let's hope your Vitex kicks in soon.

I'm just feeling sorry for myself, Newbie. I've had a rotten cold since Friday last week and that combined with this has made me a right miserable bugger.

Newbie2 · 21/06/2012 20:33

Amazon delivered today...guess whose PO2S in the morning? Grin

NicolaHazel · 21/06/2012 20:50

Oh, forgot to reply to Maclairey.

Thank you for your best wishes, it should be a lovely day, despite the family issues.

I managed to elicit one more RSVP with my hint. Go me, ha ha!

We enclosed cards and an envelope. No stamp though. But people can RSVP online too, which is SO easy. But no, slow bastards. :-/

And his friends are being quite a pain, yes. But loads of people are.

On deadline day I'll post again, giving one more week to respond. Got to give numbers to the hotel in August at some point, I think. Need to check the contract. Then final numbers a couple of weeks before.

OP posts:
NicolaHazel · 21/06/2012 20:50
