crazytictac thats really great news. Congrats! don't worry abut the drink and folic. if you've been taking folic for a while, probably got plenty still in your system to not have a problem missing a few. I too was rather tipsy around the time DD was conceived and probably in 2WW and she was fine, i have read something about embryos not sharing blood with mother for first few days/weeks. Not sure about that as from MN posts but please don't worry!

Flyingwithoutwings · 07/08/2012 12:58

Just noticed my typo: frolic acid Wink

lastboxoftampons · 07/08/2012 13:55

Crazy!! Congratulations! This thread is moving along now! :)
I wouldn't worry about skipping your vitamins - doctors don't even prescribe them until you're actually pregnant anyway! And There are plenty of women who don't even know they're pregnant and have had a big night and their babies are fine. Congrats!!!

Crazytictac · 07/08/2012 14:51

Thanks ladies for the reassurance, you're all very sweet. Still sinking in. I honestly would have bet my mortgage that I wasn't pregnant this month. No gut feeling or anything. Not told DH yet as want to be sure this isn't another chemical pregnancy.

Pipbin · 07/08/2012 18:22

Crazy don't worry about the drinking etc, I just spent the weekend with friends and their 10 month old. She didn't realise she was pg until she was 8 weeks. She was drinking all that time, not taking frolic acid (as it shall henceforth be know) and her dd is perfect.

I've got an appointment for my HSG on the 17th. So no SWI with us until after that.

This month we will me using the Kevin McCloud method of selling our house. Always works on the TV!

Wooohooo Crazy!! Mega congratulations. Don't worry about the Wine and frolic!

Sorry about AF Flying :(

I am thinking of testing tomorrow (11DPO)...hmmmm....

Flyingwithoutwings · 07/08/2012 20:03

Just back from Zumba and had a revelation: sports tops (cooling ones) actually work Grin
I was able to work harder because I wasn't fighting the heat and sweat!

Blimey, I'm so cynical that I thought it was just an excuse to hike the prices up Blush

Anyway, going to check my frolic supplies.. Wink

Squirrel77 · 08/08/2012 16:15

Hi all, want to stalk my chart? Temp has dropped right down to the coverline. Could it be too late for an implantation dip? I fear the evil AF is due for a visit tomorrow which is pretty disappointing. BFN this morning on an 'el cheapo' HPT. My current 'symptoms' are a sore throat and tiredness. Here is my chart again... :)

blackcatsdancing · 08/08/2012 16:39

Hi squirrel, it doesn't look promising, sorry. However one rogue temp can happen so don't give up hope. I'm not sure how often people get an implantation dip, its not something i look out for and i didn't get it with either of my pregnancies i recorded on FF. Its not over until you get AF though.

Pipbin · 08/08/2012 17:51

Sorry Squirrel but I'm with blackcats here. It doesn't look good.
It looks like my 27th April chart rather.

Thanks guys, I needed a bit of a reality check! It's really doing my head in this month as I really thought we would win a baby this month after having a relaxing shagfest tropical holiday! Will let you know if/when the Evil Witch flies in! :)

Flyingwithoutwings · 08/08/2012 19:59

Hmmm AF is nothing more than spotting but I do feel tired and headachy so I'm sure she'll be in full flow soon... Why does she mess about like this? Angry

Pipbin · 08/08/2012 21:06

I know how you feel Flying it took about 5 days for AF to properly kick in this month.

Still, I've got my HSG to look forward to. I have to spend the start of this month trying not to get pregnant!

lastboxoftampons · 09/08/2012 15:09

Hi all:

Flying how is your AF? Any more normal?

Squirrel how are you doing?

Feeling a little bit Angry I saw this girl at the weekend who is also ttc. We had a big chat about it and I really felt as if she were the one leading the conversation asking questions and volunteering info. Well, just found out through a mutual friend that she's actually 8 weeks pg. feeling like such an idiot as we were both talking as if we were actively trying and here she is already pregnant. I understand if she didn't want to share just yet, well then don't engage me in conversation about it!

Anyway, am happy with how things look this cycle anyway. Had that confirmation of maturing follicles at my scan, have had two peak readings on cbfm, well timed shagging and really clear and big temp shift. Am now 2 dpo. Quietly hopeful but I know better!

Oh well, almost the weekend!

Flyingwithoutwings · 09/08/2012 23:03

AF is properly here now
Kinda hit full flow about mid morning. I'm always light for a day, heavy for 2/3 then light for 2/3.
I do feel that something has changed with them though, I've always had such regular (bloody painful) ones.
I wonder if my endometriosis is causing problems?
Time to go to GP I think, get a referral back to consultant.
In fact, I'm going to strike while the iron is hot and go tomorrow. No point waiting.

In other news: got my smear next Wed... Oh the fun Wink

Hope you're all taking your frolic acid

Flyingwithoutwings · 09/08/2012 23:05

lbot that must have made you feel upset, knowing she'd effectively lied Sad
Does she know how long you have been trying? Maybe she thought she was soaring your feelings Confused

Flyingwithoutwings · 09/08/2012 23:06

When is your HSG pipbin?

Pipbin · 09/08/2012 23:44

Its next Friday Flying, and I've got a smear on Tuesday. My poor old lady bits!

OP posts:
blackcatsdancing · 10/08/2012 08:39

lbot that's horrid. i'd be really upset. fx on this cycle though, sounds like you've done all you can.

flying good luck with the referral hope your GP is sympathetic and understanding.
i had my smear not long ago, glad that's done for next 3 years. Not because i find it awful, i didnt even feel this nurse when she actually took the sample, she said they use a brush these days, but said they have done for a few years, its waiting for the results that i hate. Hope everyone gets the all clear.
I'm 8DPO and at that stage of getting fed up. Will probably test Monday.

Flyingwithoutwings · 10/08/2012 09:08

Damn, woke too late to get GP appointment Sad
DS was up at 5:20, managed to get him back to sleep but DH (quite rightly) didn't disturb us while he went to work and I wasn't aware of anything until gone 8 when DS can into our room and started playing the iPad Blush
Feel rubbish today (period pain).
Will ring on Tues (Mon is too busy with the weekend illness lot).

I am so glad they do the brush now, 3 years ago was the first time I've had one and not been recalled. I have endometriosis on my cervix and bleed easily when having a smear. It was such a pain having to go back several times. In the end I used to just get my gynaecologist to do it!!! They are the experts after all Wink

But now I'll be fine with the brush. I forget I've had it until the results come in. Getting more concerned now though, my DSis had to have cells burned as did my friend. My friend was one stage of cancer so I'm not as complacent as I used to be.

Glorious sunshine here today... Shall I get the water table out?

Flyingwithoutwings · 10/08/2012 09:09

How long are your cycles black?

blackcatsdancing · 10/08/2012 09:20

flying that sounds rough, bad enough having it done once!

i've had cervical treatment twice, both a long time ago and 10 years apart. First time i had laser done to burn off dodgy cells, second time had LLETZ. Both treatments were nothing radical . Awful though, especially the first when i had a 'trainee' working under supervision. Had a lovely nurse holding my hand throughout the second procedure which was comforting. They take a different approach these days though as i think in the past people have had treatment unnecessarily when the cells may have reverted back to normal. Not sure what happened in my case and the ins and outs. My first one was when i was 21, next at 31.

My cycles tend to be around 29/30 days long. i may waste some sticks and test over the weekend as they are cheapies.

Squirrel77 · 10/08/2012 16:32

Hi ladies,

The Evil Aunt Flo flew in on her broomstick right on schedule this morning.

Disappointing, as I was looking forward to proudly announcing to you all that my baby was conceived on a train in Southeast Asia...Grin

Hope everyone else is bearing up ok.

Time for some Wine Wine Wine Wine Wine Wine Wine

Pipbin · 10/08/2012 18:07

Squirrel. A train! Now that would have been a good story

OP posts:
Flyingwithoutwings · 11/08/2012 04:19

Oh black, glad you are ok. Just shows we shouldn't delay having it done.

squirrel!!! Grin Grin Grin Grin
Sorry AF is here Sad
Gutted you don't get to choose "Asian word for train" as a name Wink
