Prunella I came off the pill in my early 20s, 2wks later after literally one accident I conceived... It didn't work out but with the same man (now DH) and we concieved straight away with my DD (again without actually trying, more just 'not caring') so not sure if its just us or whether it was the pill... However, now on 2nd cycle for #2 so we'll see if putting the swimmers in the right place at hopefully the right time this month works... Over 10 years since the accidental pg, so things could have changed I guess.

Good luck with your efforts though!!

Hello all, well congrats to all the BFPs. :)
I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself today I must admit. Been feeling abit sick the last couple of days and so didn't doit last night and now tonight dh says he doesn't feel like it! I have no idea when I'm ovulating but just got a feeling it's probably this weekend and probably missed our window of opportunity.
Oh well, maybe try tomorrow in the hope...

Thereisamumthatnevergoesout · 21/01/2012 23:00

blue I feel I am not the best example to follow. Bought my tests today as planned and then promptly used one in the loo at work. Bfn!

So much for willpower! Not upset. I think I believe the bfn as I really have no proper symptoms. Will refrain from further testing unless af hasn't arrived by tues. I know I will stick to it this time.

About being more fertile straight after coming off pill, I know someone who got her bfp the first month after stopping the pill. Happened with her dc2 too.

Sorry about af optimum. Sorry that you're so gutted Sad

Aaahpushit, please could you add me?

Thereisalight ttc dc3 cycle 1 af due 23 jan

Pipbin · 22/01/2012 09:56

So, spotting has stopped and no AF.
Used a passing OPK and got a faint line. Normally I get nothing, I know some women get a line all month.
I then used the same FMU for a clear blue digital which told me BFN.
AF is due today and nothing so far.

Any thoughts ladies?

TuesdayNightClub · 22/01/2012 10:02

Pipbin I think CBD can give quite late results, so you could try tomorrow with one that gives an earlier result (superdrug own brand I think meant to be good!) I'm saving my CBDs for when I've already had a BFN with something else! Good luck, it all sounds promising. Although I think it needs to be at LEAST 48 hours after implantation for even the very very earliest test to work. Should really be more than 3 days after to get a result. When was suspected implantation?

Pipbin · 22/01/2012 10:19

Well Tuesday I had spotting Thursday Friday and a tiny bit Saturday, which was 9, 10 and 11 dpo.

I'll leave it until Tuesday to test again. Monday is just too busy and AF would be well overdue by then.

Thereisamumthatnevergoesout · 22/01/2012 10:26

Pipbin I don't have any wisdom to add unfortunately. Fx for you anyway. Do your cycles vary? If that was me, I would start getting hopes up because I am like clockwork.

No af for me today (due tomorrow), but zero symptoms. Felt very periody yesterday and today feeling very grumpy with dh. Poor thing, I think I am displacing my grumpiness on him by demanding he stop being such a grump. Blush

Note to self to be nicer to him as the day progresses. Grin

okay, here is me with positive head on. I have been reading the 'due in sep 2012' thread to see how they are getting on. It really reminded me how exhausting the first trimester is. All the ms is very draining and I think my memories of it all are rather blurred. So now i have reminded myself that every month I don't get bfp is a month I need to pack with all the things I won't have energy for after. Eg sorting out my piles of paperwork, setting up website for a project I have on, beginning some sort of tame fitness routine etc.

Will get the max out of every month before bfp. Yes indeed.

Anyone else got jobs they can get out of the way if they get another month before bfp?

TuesdayNightClub · 22/01/2012 10:32

Oh well fingers cross Pipbin, that sounds really promising to me!

I am on CD 37 and have no idea what the fiddlestick is going on. Have had some spotting and lots of cramps today though, so think I'm out. Have also had roughly 1 x million BFNs, each more heartbreaking than the last. Sad I just want AF to arrive so we can start a new cycle.

Positive things if AF arrives: I can have wine at a hen do I'm going to in Feb, I'll know for sure one way or the other, DH and I can get back on the SWI bandwagon. Grin

mrsmellow · 22/01/2012 11:01

Congrats more bfp's - this does feel like a very lucky thread. prunella two of my close friends got pregnant on the post pill fertility surge...(in the same month!) But will keep you posted. All potential PMT symptoms have gone but no AF - and will not test for at least another week....[grim determination emoticon]

pipbin hold tight and test in 2-3 days... good luck, fingers crossed!

BlueX · 22/01/2012 11:42

Ok so there's many of us hoping to test on Tuesday...fingers crossed for everyone!

I still have no AF and no signs that it's on the way either...I too am determined that I will not test until Tuesday now.

Thereis - it was probably too early to test so fingers crossed for Tuesday!

Chunkychicken · 22/01/2012 11:46

Pipbin fingers crossed for you.

Trying to think positive but when DD got me up at 6am (had a bad dream I think because she was properly crying) I couldn't go back to sleep - stressing about work, house sale & TTC. Knowing that stress has a negative impact doesn't stop me worrying either!! Even when DH & I were actively TTC I can't help doing 'period math'... I guess using an OPK would remove some of the guesswork but I don't want to resort to that yet!!

If I look at all the sources of stress in my life, none of them can be sorted/resolved before I get that elusive BFP - although that will help with the stress of TTC. Love the idea of being able to get some jobs out of the way first though, if only my RL would play ball!!

Oh well, what will be, will be I guess??!!

Pipbin · 22/01/2012 12:07

BlueX I won't test if you don't.
One of us has to be lucky, surely.

I came off the pill in May and this is the first time I have ever monitored my periods. I run at 35 days on average. Today is day 35. No spotting since early Saturday morning, now I have clear sticky CM.

I don't feel periody. Back when I was not on the pill and didn't track I just knew about two days in advance when I was about to come on. Just don't feel like that now.

Fingers crossed for all of us testing again Tuesday.

Cejay8 · 22/01/2012 12:43

I'm afraid I couldn't wait and tested this morning - kind of wish I hadn't now Sad AF not due till tomorrow though.
Am thinking it's not so bad having another month with DS and we've always got plenty of house jobs to be getting on with.... Think I need chocolate this afternoon then I'll feel better Grin

Thereisamumthatnevergoesout · 22/01/2012 13:20

If I know there are a few of us testing on
Tuesday, it will help my resolve to not test before then.

Ceejay, you testing on Tuesday as well as pipbin, myself and bluex?

Thereisamumthatnevergoesout · 22/01/2012 13:22

Chunky, it does sound like you have a lot on at the mo!

Chunkychicken · 22/01/2012 13:26

Indeed Thereis!! :)

OMG - Need to turn my phone off & step away from the TTC maths because that way madness lies.... I have just spent about 10mins calculating all the permutations of my cycle (cycle length of 26, 28 & 31 days, ov day of 10, 14, & 16 days etc etc) so that I can make sure we DTD enough for long over to be certain to get the egg. It looks like we either missed it by a day or 2 last month (nasty UTI & antibiotics killed the mood somewhat) or stopped DTD a day or 2 early. No chance of THAT happening this month!!

Anyway, going cold turkey on the conception threads for a day or 2 in the hope I'll get some perspective. I'll be back though...

Good luck with TTC & see you soon for the start of lots of BFPs (FX eh??).

ChairOfTheBored · 22/01/2012 13:39

I think I may well be stepping off this bus. AF not due until Tuesday, but her evil minions irrationality and mood swings have made their presence known.

This weekend I have both taken DH's head off for having the audacity to be ironing while I wanted to hoover, and burst into tears in John Lewis over the potential that we'd chose the wrong curtain material...

Cejay8 · 22/01/2012 13:58

If AF doesn't make an appearance then yes I'll be testing as soon as my eBay tests arrive! Hopefully Tuesday but I did one of those early tests today so I'm not very hopeful now.....It's only our 2nd cycle though Smile

busylady99 · 22/01/2012 15:23

I think I might have to change my stats. This is my first cycle off the pill so don't know what my real cycle is (was always 28 days like clockwork on the pill). I've been temping and I Ov'd on either CD 20 or 21. I've read that (as long as I don't have a luteal phase defect as apparently it's charmingly called) the luteal phase lasts around 14 - 16 days after OV. If that's the case, AF should be due sometime between 31st Jan - 3rd Feb. Does that seem about right?

Busylady99 TTC#1 AF due 31/1 ish

Kelbells · 22/01/2012 15:53

Boo... I'm out... Had a few days of bleeding last week which I think was an early AF (recovering from mc so cycles are a law unto themselves) and BFN this morning Sad looks like I'll have to stick my thumb out and grab the next shuttle that comes by.... Massive luck to all those still waiting!!! GrinGrinGrin

busylady99 · 22/01/2012 18:36

For those who have the Asda or superdrug tests, does it say on the box what the minimum level of hCG they detect is? Thanks.

Sorry about your AF Kelbells - good luck on the next shuttle.

Chair deep breath. Don't disembark until you're absolutely sure. Personally I think crying about ordering the wrong material in John Lewis is perfectly reasonable; have you seen how expensive it is! Wink

ChairOfTheBored · 22/01/2012 19:23

Will try busy - and that's an excellent point. When you think about it, I'm a picture of rational thought!

Good luck to you, and all still waiting. Will think more positive thoughts, and if all else fails, grab a spot on the next shuttle...

Pipbin · 22/01/2012 19:38

BusyLady. I recommend using Fertilityfriend.com.
It's helped me keep track of my periods which is something I've never done before.

Still no show from AF. I'm thinking happy thought to keep her away.

busylady99 · 22/01/2012 22:36

Must admit, I am not entirely enjoying the effects of my natural hormones over the lovely medicinal ones delivered by my pill Smile On the pill I would just get one cramp just before I started my period and that was it for the month (I always appreciated how lucky I was though). Since coming off the pill I've been having that uggh, sickly cramp feeling several times a day since around CD8 (CD25 now). I thought it might be tied to ovulation but I'm now 4-5 DPO and it's continued.

Does anyone else experience anything similar?
