NOW BOARDING!

I'm due AF 11/1/12 so out of time for the previous bus so thought I'd start a new one! Well a space shuttle (why not!!!).

So I'll start:

ahhhhhpushit TTC#2 AF due 11/1

I'm currently on cd 15 so have been SWI like mad this week :)

can i add myself to 2ww list please, im 10 dpo ,but im still not convinced that i actually know when or if im ovulating, . im so tired and got sore boobs but got a bfn this morning so im expecting af to arrive early next week if not before. This is 3rd cycle of trying after a miscarriage,I think i will do proper charting, vitamins from zita west and swi every other day next month!!!

PuggyMum · 19/01/2012 09:42

According to my app I too am now in the 2ww... The ov sticks have never been positive though so now I am a bit worried! I'll keep on testing as I do have quite long cycles so could be a couple of days out I guess. I mean they're not rocket science to use are they?
Poor DH is knackered with the SWI after the weekend we had! I feel sorry for him!!

Thereisamumthatnevergoesout · 19/01/2012 10:38

Hi all, after lurking for a week I thought I'd get myself on this thread. The reason why I hadn't already was because we haven't been properly ttc this month. Have been trying to convince dh for 2 years to ttc dc3 but he's always been reluctant. He seemed to be softening slightly over Xmas but I didn't get hopes up as he has given me false hope before without actually entertaining any swi! This month we did kind of swi once around my supposedly fertile days. So although technically it is remotely possible that I could have conceived, realistically it isn't likely. I'm just chuffed that I get to be uncertain about whether I am pregnant rather be absolutely sure I can't be unless contraception failed. Uncertainty is s big step up from having zero possibility.

My stats are ttc %233 cycle %231 af due 23/1

Refusing to symptom spot (who am I kidding?!)

I like the high amount of bfps on this shuttle. Gives hope to the rest of us!

Thereisamumthatnevergoesout · 19/01/2012 11:21

That's ttc dc no. 3 and cycle no. 1 by the way! iPhone issues with hash sign...

Lexie1970 · 19/01/2012 11:57

I need to disembark this lovely shuttle :(

Had blood results back yesterday and I appear to be post menopausal which is not great seeing as I am only 41- got appointment with fertility clinic in March to see if there is any hope so I bow out wishing the best of luck with all those BFP's and fingers crossed for all others.

i will just lurk.....

re. home pregnancy tests, a tip: if anyone if looking to buy them, buy the cheap ones off the internet, I remember last year i got a pack of 5 for £2.50! They all work in the same way so you can't go wrong, it's just the display & the packaging that's different.
If you buy the cheap ones, what you get is just the little card stick (the bit that is inside all the expensive fancy plastic tests) and you just pee into a pot (try a disposable plastic cup) and dip the test into the pee-pot.
You will get one line to show the test has worked, and 2 lines if it's positive.

if anyone is interested how it works, there is a chemical inside the card (just along where the line would be) that reacts with a hormone in your pee (if you're pregnant) that turns it a colour so you can see a line.
The urine seeps up the card and goes past the test line to make another coloured line to show it has worked - this other line is always higher up - so you know if you got only 1 line it has to be a negative, and 2 lines it has to be positive.
(of course, you can get negatives anyway very early on if you test too early as there is not enough hormone in your urine - for this reason, wait a few days if you can, and also test with your first pee of the day which is 'stronger'!)

hope this is useful!

ahhhhhpushit · 19/01/2012 14:00

I found i was still getting BFNs on internet cheapie tests for many days after getting a positive on a superdrug test. i know i go on about the superdrug tests but they really are the best!!

I'm sorry to hear that Lexie1970. Best of luck for some good news at your appointment in March

frazzled74 · 19/01/2012 14:31

whats the earliest anyones got a bfp? and is it worth splashing out? internet cheapies say they get early results but not sure if this is true.

busylady99 · 19/01/2012 15:14

Quick question, as my temperature spiked today do I count this as DPO 1 or do I assume I Ov'd yesterday or the day before so today would be DPO 2 or 3? Confused - i'm new to all this!

MakeTeaNotWar · 19/01/2012 15:18

BFP! Just boarded a plane to NZ, sitting on the runway waiting to take off! POAS in the loos before boarding! 2 days to AF, did a clear blue digital. Woo hoo!

MakeTeaNotWar · 19/01/2012 15:22

BFP! 2 days to AF! POAS in the loos of Heathrow T3, we're off to NZ for 3 weeks! Arrgh!

MakeTeaNotWar · 19/01/2012 15:23

Ah too excited, wasn't sure first post went through. Due Oct 1!!

OptiMumPrime · 19/01/2012 15:28

Wow, MTNW, what a cool way to find out! You won't sleep all flight! Have an awesome holiday, and don't bungee jump!

OptiMumPrime · 19/01/2012 15:29

Lexie, that sucks, I hope they are wrong, or can do something for you.

DelphineDonkeygoesDoolally · 19/01/2012 15:31

Sorry to hear Lexie70, must be very hard for you, big hugs x

Congrats Maketeanotwar, very jealous happy for you!

busylady99 · 19/01/2012 15:43

Congratulations MTNW - that's fantastic news. Enjoy your trip to NZ

Chunkychicken · 19/01/2012 18:04

Lexie sorry to hear your news, that sucks. Hope its not as cut & dried as it seems & you get some good news in March.

Congrats MTNW that's fantastic. Not jealous at all much. :)

Hi Chair and Thereis welcome aboard!!

Currently silently fuming about our estate agents whilst DD is having a VERY late nap & furtively posting here!! Keep hoping cycle #2 is the magic number for us - especially as the due date would make it exactly 2.5years between DD & DC#2. I like the symmetry of it, more than anything!! Unlikely though in the whole scheme of things... Hmm

OptiMumPrime · 19/01/2012 18:09

I like that symmetry too, Chunky! Ours would be pretty much exactly a two-year gap if we get pg this cycle. Don't ideally want them sharing a birthday, but I'd rather be pg than not, so fingers crossed!

ahhhhhpushit · 19/01/2012 18:46

frazzled I got mine 4 days before AF with a superdrug test.

ahhhhhpushit · 19/01/2012 18:47

Winnie81 · 19/01/2012 19:12

Delphine I'm on same dpo as you my AF is due 24th ish. I'm holding off testing for as long as I can ( itching to just POAS)

DelphineDonkeygoesDoolally · 19/01/2012 19:30

Crazy people! 2 year gap is hardcore! I never believed in "the terrible 2s" but by God it's true and a nightmare. When DS turned 2 he definitely changed into little Damian IYKWIM. The other day he came back from the childminder and hadn't slept (for reasons I won't go into or I'll get angry again) and he was just evil, he was hitting me (!!!) and shouting at me - I ended on the floor crying that my sweet little baby had turned into a hooligan.

Anyhoo, I think after that phase the 2 year gap works quite well but I don't think I'd have the patience for it.

Winnie, when are you testing? I'm definitely not peeing on anything until next week, possibly wednesday or thursday - if nothing hasn't happened before that is...

Chunkychicken · 19/01/2012 19:37

LOL Delphine love the description (hate the actions of your monster child obviously!!!) But he must be lovely some of the time, otherwise why else would you want another??!! What would the age gap be for you then?

Opti that would be good too.

My friend has 18mths between her 2 & another has a 13mths gap... Now THAT is hardcore!!!

Winnie81 · 19/01/2012 19:39

Delphine I will try and hold out as long as I can but I am aiming for at least the early part of next week if evil hag hasnt arrived!
