You can get it back if you cancel in time - hopefully you will be xGrin

BrownieGecko · 29/11/2011 12:25

Free that is fantastic news!!! It must of been great to see the heartbeat. How were St Mary's about your NK treatment?

Hope you are doing ok before you scan this afternoon Scooter. Sending you a mahoosive hug x

I got knocked over by a huge Rottwieler this morning when i was walking Poppy so am freaking out a bit about back ache I now seem to have :( Felt awful as I burst into tears when it happened so owner came running over and I blurted out I was pregnant and I had had mc's. She then started crying and was distraught and angry with her dog and she said she had had 8 mc's. I ended up consoling her poor thing. There is plenty of padding there for the bean isn't there? Or should I be worried?

PS DH was chuffed this morning with his Mr Brownie mentions...made me laugh, told him he will be asking for autographs soon :)

duggs1976 · 29/11/2011 12:30

I've just left free in there. I was having a pre op assessment for my hysteroscopy in jan to check my uterus. I told them about pcos and preds and raj rai told me It wasn't wise getting 2 lots of advice. I did ask then how come it wasn't picked up by them on 01 nov scan . I was polite but it didn't go down well. I really am not bothered who diagnoses what - it's just confusing to get conflicting views. But guess that's what u get. Oh well am none the wiser so will just take it all with a big pinch of salt. It was great seeing free just now - looking forward to next tues. Smile

duggs1976 · 29/11/2011 12:32

brownie just read you post and it made me smile. Although hope u ok - but what r the chances re the dog owner understanding ? I wonder if she knows about dr s?

ColeyOz · 29/11/2011 12:34

OH - I'm so happy you heard a heart beat Free - that is a fantastic signal.

Scooter - really thinking of you too. Please let us know when you have some news.

Brownie - I fell over when I was pregnant and was terrified! Is was all OK as there if plenty of padding and fluid in there around bubs. Such fantastic news about your scan too! I've been there with all the tears and the sonographer thinking I'm crazy!

Kittens - I don't think you have to pay a deposit as a returning patient but I'm not 100% certain.

Hope you are all doing well.

I've just got a smiley face on my OPK a week earlier than usual! Must be something to do with the pred last cycle...so confused. I have a feeling a have already ovulated though but will DTD tonight just in case:)

Arianrhod · 29/11/2011 12:34

There is plenty of padding in there, yes Brownie (although what a horrible shock for you, poor you!!). Your wee baby is cushioned in all kinds of lovely floaty stuff, and other than being joggled about a bit, should be fine. But of course if you're worried, you absolutely should at the least ring the midwife, I would say - she should be able to reassure you all is ok? I would expect the backache if you twisted or something as you fell - it's very very easy to pull a muscle in your lower back, I do it getting out of bed sometimes.

But honestly, if you're worried, ring your midwife.

And get DH to walk the dog!!! :)

freelancegirl · 29/11/2011 12:38

I remember paying a deposit for my first appointment too. I had only just decided to go see him privately as the wait was taking too long for Nhs to fine through and they had a free slot due to cancellation that week. I was really excited. Thanks for all the messages everyone. Just having a blood test for TEG and then got another appointment with them for 14th Dec. Am thinking I might actually change my mr s appointment to thurs 8th now. Just that that would suffice as a 7-8 week one for him and if it's still alive mean I could go straight to intralipids rather than pay for two with him in quick succession. Am still not sure.

Brownie that sounds like a horrible experience with the rottweiler. I am not a great lover of scary dogs like that anyway. But strange the conversation you ended up having with the owner! You never know where you will find kindred spirits. In terms of physical issues, yes the baby is very well cushioned so no worries there. I actually pulled my stomach a bit when running round thehouse yesterday with slippy socks. Must try to take more care.

coley Smiley face usually indicates you're going to OV within the next 24 to 48 hours, so you get going, plenty of SWI tonight and tomorrow! :) Even if you have OV though, it's still not too late, eggie would still be making its way at a leisurely pace down your tubes, so still plenty of time to get its mate on the way to joining it Grin

Arianrhod · 29/11/2011 12:42

Why not call Louise and see what she thinks free - you can tell her the result of your scan today? That would put you on the same timescale for appts as me (my 7wk is Wed 7th) - would you still be able to make a scan two weeks after, though, when do you go away??

Arianrhod · 29/11/2011 12:44

Can you all tell I'm very bored at work? Grin Got heaps of work to do, major deadline hanging over my head, and I just can't settle to it :(

eurochick · 29/11/2011 12:47

I had to pay a £50 deposit for my first appointment. After that I guess I just ask my office to send my pay straight to Mr S's account? ;)

Brownie your bean is well cushioned but it must have given you quite a scare. I hope you're ok now. My mum fell down a flight of concrete stairs when she was 8 month pg with me and I'm just fine. Her back has however never been the same again!

Arianrhod · 29/11/2011 12:48

Ok, so perhaps I'm just not remembering that I paid a deposit. That's entirely likely, it does seem like half a lifetime ago!

ChoccyPud · 29/11/2011 12:50

Free I'm absolutely delighted for you, it must be fantastic to see a hb.

Presume you'll still see Mr S on Sat? Obv it's difficult to feel any guarantees but as you say it's great news as at right now. I'm mostly neutral to positive but veer into what if there's nothing there thoughts. At this stage it may well be inconclusive anyway which is better than bad news. I'll be a wreck in the NLC waiting room I know!

Brownie glad you're ok. The lady's reaction really shows how once someone's experienced mc/rmc we have a certain "secret" understanding about it that others just don't have. My instant thought is to wonder if she knows about NKC's etc and to want to tell her in case we can help!

Havingkittens · 29/11/2011 12:53

coley I'm not a returning patient as such. I am seeing him on the NHS so this would be my first private appt.

brownie, that must've been quite a shock. I think you should be ok though. I fell down the stairs when I was 5 weeks and emailed my midwife immediately. She reassured me that there was plenty of cushioning to protect the baby and that there shouldn't be any harm done.

ColeyOz · 29/11/2011 13:02

Good point kittens - so yes probably worth paying the deposit then to make sure you get the appointment.

Thanks for the advice ari - I always worry my timing is out but hopefully the egg is still hanging around. Its just thrown me as its a week earlier than usual!

Havingkittens · 29/11/2011 13:12

Just a thought coley, OPKs also show up positive with pregnancy hormones so if it's a week early is there a chance it may be a late BFP?

Stogan · 29/11/2011 13:51

YEY free that's fantastic news ahhhhh so so pleased for you, not uncrossing my fingers til we hear from scooter though xxx

batteryhen · 29/11/2011 13:52

Good news free Very emotional too I expect! Lovely that you could meet up with duggs too. I am planning that duggs will be my BFP partner next month :) Was today your first ever appointment with St Marys? In my letter they said if I am pg they won't see me?

Brownie My appointment is 0945 Shock so opposite ends of the day...perhaps I can leave you a little hidden message somewhere :)

Just waiting on news from scooter now xxx

scooterchaser · 29/11/2011 14:01

Hi, deep breath, one baby, one heartbeat. Little bean hanging in there for now. I am not out of the woods yet as still bleeding but for the moment it's a relief. Thanks so much for thinking of me, meant a lot to have everyone rooting for a good outcome xxxx

ColeyOz · 29/11/2011 14:02

I wish kittens :) - don't think its a late BFP as had as AF just finished a week ago and was very heavy. Looking for a BFP in 2 weeks though!!

Arianrhod · 29/11/2011 14:05

Oh fabulous news scooter, I'm so very pleased for you!!! Do they know where the bleeding is coming from, could they see?

That's such a relief, I'm delighted you had a good scan!!! This is clearly a much luckier day than yesterday :)

Havingkittens · 29/11/2011 14:09

Pleased to hear your news Scooter. Take it easy. x

BrownieGecko · 29/11/2011 14:29

Scooter that is great news, you must feel relieved. I know it is only temporary but we have to cling onto those moments and hope they continue. Did they see a haematoma when they scanned you?

Thanks ladies for the words of comfort regarding my tumble this morning, am trying not to mental about it.

Choccy I did indeed tell her about us. She was telling me about her journey where she had her son (now 19) after 3 mc's then suffered a further 5 trying for a second. They never discovered the cause, she said the doctors called it "bad luck" if only they would of known about NK back then. It was nice to meet a kindred soul, though sad too. I gave her a big hug and we both cried, making me blub now. Man I am emotional today :)

Waves to everyone else

ColeyOz · 29/11/2011 14:38

Good news scooter - deep breaths! I'm so relieved for you.

snoopygirl · 29/11/2011 14:49
