Ps Squirrel re your bfn. It can take up to three weeks (well 19 days) between conception and hcg levels being high enough to detect in urine. Keeping everything crossed for you!

Cosmogirl · 22/11/2011 15:13

Fingers crossed Squirrel. Nothing much to report 5 dpo. Have some spots on my neck which I haven't had in ages. Probably last time I remember having spots there was pregnancy! Another symptom then Wink.

At least this week is panning out to be reasonably busy so I've not got as much time to obsess.

Anyone know much about cervical position? Mine seems to be high and hard at the moment. I think before AF it drops quite low and goes soft and open ready for period. I wonder if it changes to that, this will be a sign AF is coming.

LFT1976 · 22/11/2011 15:45

Don't know anything about cervical position. I do know that for the past couple of days I've been EXHAUSTED. But again, I'm probably reading too much into this. At only 4dpo it's too early for real symptoms I think??

Jenn1982 · 22/11/2011 15:54

17 days-past-accident, awaiting blood test results friday/monday.
Truly irregular cycle due to PCOS, therefore didn't want to rely on hpt's (which have all been negative despite suspected implantation bleed). Wasn't ttc, but desperately hoping for bfp. Fingers crossed for all you ladies above too.

Jenn1982 · 22/11/2011 15:56

Sorry for crashing thread.

farmerswifey · 22/11/2011 16:15

Ooh please may I add myself to the list;

Squirrel, 13 DPO, testing 23/11
Mrs C, 10 DPO(?), testing?
Cosmo, 5 DPO, testing 27 or 28/11 (?)
LFT, 4DPO, testing 1 or 2/12
Medusa, 1 DPO, testing?
Farmerswifey, 11 DPO, testing 24/11

This is our first month of trying and never have 2 weeks felt like such a long time. I've no symptoms that can't be explained away by AF but it doesn't stop me from hoping.

shall keep my fingers crossed for everybody.

TheNewMrsC · 22/11/2011 16:36

Cosmo I don't know anything about cervical position but I am intrigued how do you check it and what are you looking for ?

Jenn hope you get a BFP !! How have you been feeling any symptoms ?

I've came to the realisation that my symptoms are just af on their waySad that's how I feel now anyway

Hi to our new ladies, Jenn and FarmersWifey. And good luck for your tests!!

Squirrel77 · 22/11/2011 16:55

Mrs C sorry to hear that!

Cosmo Regarding cervical position, I know if it's high it means your fertile and if it's low it is a non-fertile time. As far as I know, cervical position can't indicate pregnancy. But I could be wrong.

And this afternoon I developed the weirdest ever symptom: queefing (while at work). Blush Is this a preggo symptom?! Shock

Signet2012 · 22/11/2011 17:46

Can I be added too...

Af due 24th trying not to test til 27th!

Weeing lots? had stomach ache like period pain two weeks ago, no usual AF coming signs....... must stop this madness, all can be easily explained in a million ways other than PG but still!!!

Jenn1982 · 22/11/2011 17:57

Thank you MrsC and LFT. Have had a few symptoms, mostly tiredness and sensitive nipples. The 6 days of bleeding lightly was the biggest. I've also had loss of appetite quite a bit, and chocolate, although still tasting lovely, doesn't seem to taste the same.
I am desperately hoping that I don't have to wait until monday for the results!!!

Good luck for tomorrow squirrel. Fingers crossed.

TheNewMrsC · 22/11/2011 19:24

Welcome signet ! My af due on 24th as well !! Although I have had serious af style cramps in my lower back all evening Sad I feel lime they could just appear any minute !Sad

Mrs C - you just [ahem] insert a finger and feel for your cervix. Feels a bit like a donut shape - with opening in the middle. It is more of a dimple if you've not given birth vaginally - larger like a slit if you have. There's a good website at the beautiful cervix project with lots of pics! I think I agree though that it isn't meant to be a very reliable sign, but I think mine is often soft and squidgy and low and open before I start to bleed. At the moment it is very high up, small and hard. Who knows if it is a sign...only time will tell I guess.

You are doing very well not to test yet! Fx for you.

Squirrel - haven't had lots of wind but have been very bloated since 2dpo really so there may be something in it. Here's hoping! Think it can be due to increased progesterone.

Welcome to the new ladies and thanks for the list. I like a good list farmerswifey.

6 DPO tomorrow. Bring it on!

MissMedusa · 23/11/2011 09:05

Are you ladies abstaining from alcohol during your 2ww?

What with all the Christmas parties coming up I hate to have to pass up the good cheer for nothing but wouldn't want to damage any potential sprogs.

starchildmum · 23/11/2011 10:01

Hi there. Had intercourse 4 D PREO. Any chances here??

TheNewMrsC · 23/11/2011 11:30

Hi medusaSmile not really a big drinker but I wouldn't worry about abstaining from alcohol baby doesn't feed from you during 2ww so you wouldn't do any damage as long as you don't overdo it . Plus it will take your mind off your 2ww !!

Star - I think there is a chance just not sure how big it is ? Sorry can't be more help . When is your af due ?

Did two internet cheapies this morning, Hubby rushed out to get a couple of First Response (just to be sure); Four sets of two lines later I'm Pregnant Grin

I'm in a state of shock at the moment - I can't quite believe it.

Will keep my fingers crossed for everyone else x

Jenn1982 · 23/11/2011 13:51

Congratulations!!!!!!

TheNewMrsC · 23/11/2011 14:09

Wow in your first month well done !!!Grin

Congratulations to you and your DH Grin

Cosmogirl · 23/11/2011 15:19

Huge congrats Farmerswifey! Is it your first DC? I did about 8 tests with DC1! Still have them all in a box. How many dpo were you and was it an instant strong line?

How's everyone else doing? Hanging in there?

Well, I'm 6 dpo today and feeling sluggish today after a real burst of energy/organisation yesterday. Felt like I was in nesting mode. Don't laugh but I have another bizarre symptom I've spotted - an itchy spot on my head. Has been itchy on and off all day and is really annoying. That's it though. Could really use a nap this afternoon but DD not so keen so trying to drag self through until DH gets home from work.

TheNewMrsC · 23/11/2011 15:28

Aw cosmo bet you wouldn't have even noticed the spot at any other time !! Did you have this kind of thing during first pg?

It's amazing the things we notice in the 2ww - last night Af style cramps in my tummy and a weird dull ache in my lower back I was convinced it was implantation so did Internet cheapie this morning and got BFN Sad

Now just back to the realisation that af on it's waySad

OP posts:
Cosmogirl · 23/11/2011 15:45

I know - bonkers isn't it? I didn't have many symptoms with DD - nipples a bit itchy and felt hotter than normal. Again, could have not been 'real' symptoms.

Sorry for BFN. How many DPO are you now? Fx for you.

TheNewMrsC · 23/11/2011 18:22

11dpo now cosmo. just jumped tight on to MN there after - just been to the loo and when i wiped (sorryTMI!) i had very little but very clear light light light pink spotting .... who all thinks this is a good sign ???
