Well I hope thats all it is then, if anything at all. I dont feel i'd ever be able to take the IVF road. Would rather adopt. But then I just hope I dont have to come to a decision for that.

When are you going to see about getting tests done?

mumswish · 20/01/2006 13:21

Oh yeh, I had cheese and tomato butties for lunch. Am still hungry tho as I didnt have time for a pack of crisps or yogurt or something. I had to make DP some butties too and he wanted a cuddle cos he was feeling rough and stuff. He's a pain in the backside. Good job I love him cos I think anyone else might have killed him this afternoon with all the demands. lol

wannaBe1974 · 20/01/2006 13:24

We'll probably look into tests in next couple of weeks. I start back at college next week so will have that to take my mind off it.

Men are just so pathetic when they're ill aren't they? lol.

Just looking on the net for something nice for DH's dinner - he's feeling a bit rough as well, just very tired cause having to work so hard bless him.

mumswish · 20/01/2006 13:26

aww bless. I hope he feels better soon.

Theres nothing wrong with Dp tho, he's just tired and doesnt like his job so he wants me to find somthing better for him. I bought him a computer game for his Xbox the other day just to shut him up for a few days! lol

What you doing at college?

wannaBe1974 · 20/01/2006 13:28

Lol boys and their toys. what does your DP do for a living?

I'm going to study to become a counsellor.

Before I had DS I was a finance manager but I wanna do something different. A lot of my friends say I'm a good listener and should put it to use so that's what im gunna do.

mumswish · 20/01/2006 13:31

He's a gardener which he enjoys a bit in the summer but when the winter comes he has to work in the workshop cleaning all the mowers (national company)

I started studying Counselling but I found it very hard to listen to some of the things you have to do. Eg: was told we can listen but cant offer advice and I couldnt do that. I couldnt listen to someone say they want to kill themselves and not say I dont thats a good idea. so I pulled out. Did sign language instead. Actually that reminds me, i've got to see if I can find a course that follows on from what I learnt (only an intro course you see)

wannaBe1974 · 20/01/2006 13:34

yeh, the listening but not giving advice bit might be difficult for me as well but I'll only find out if I go and give it a go. Lost nothing if it doesn't work out really.

can understand why the winter part of your DP's job might be a bit tedious. couldn't he start up on his own? a guy I used to work with used to do gardening in his spare time, lawn mowing contracts, planting, even laying patios etc - made a fairly decent profit out of it as well.

mumswish · 20/01/2006 13:39

I might mention that to him, he might enjoy it. Thanks.

He enjoys driving so he was gonna look for a driving job when we move (theres a delivery company about 5 mins walk from the new house) so was gonna try there first.

I've been trying to think what job I would love and i'd love to work at an animal sanctuary but the only problem is they cant pay well. Or a zoo (need loads of qualifications) so i'm going back to my original idea of computers and typing.

We're moving by a college so was thinking of starting up (part-time) own business typing CV's and school work for them.

wannaBe1974 · 20/01/2006 13:42

Would love to work with animals. Think that it's a lot harder though than cuddly animals - especially working in a sanctuary, you're likely to see a lot of suffering, abuce etc, and potentially have to be there when animals have to be put to sleep - not sure I could detach myself from that emotionally.

Where abouts do you live?

mumswish · 20/01/2006 13:44

at the moment little town called oswestry but when we move slightly bigger town called wrexham (north wales)

wannaBe1974 · 20/01/2006 13:46

ah cool. We used to live in Cardiff but living in Swindon in Wiltshire now. potentially moving to essex to be closer to DH's job.

mumswish · 20/01/2006 13:50

I'd like to work in a sanctuary because of the abuse. I'd like to be able to work for RSPCA and take the B***S to jail. But at the same time I dont think they'd hire me bcos I'd prob beat them up. lol

One of our depots is in wiltshire. Melksham. If you go to Essex you'll have to become one of those essex wives.

wannaBe1974 · 20/01/2006 13:54

yeh, that's one of the things putting me off going to essex, although we're looking at the more upmarket side of essex .. oops now I sound like a snob not meaning to honest.

Not sure I could do the diplomatic bit for the RSPCA either, I'd probably end up hitting someone. I read somewhere that the RSPCA have 50000 applications for inspectors jobs every year but only actually take on 23 inspectors every year - the process of getting in is very very difficult, but it's quite well paid once you get through the training.

mumswish · 20/01/2006 13:57

I read that. It is really good paid but hard as hell to get in. They wouldnt hire me! lol

wannaBe1974 · 20/01/2006 14:01

Don't think they'd hire me either, lol.

mumswish · 20/01/2006 14:04

What would your dream job be? If you had to work

wannaBe1974 · 20/01/2006 14:07

hmmm well that's a tough one. ideally I would like to work with animals, on the other hand though I would like to be a professional musician. having said that not sure I'd want the fame that went with it though.

mumswish · 20/01/2006 14:15

What instrument do you play?

I was taught to play Cornet (small trumpet) and learnt to play nearly every other brass instrument, one-handed piano. I think thats about it, I wouldnt enjoy playing any of those tho.

wannaBe1974 · 20/01/2006 14:18

I play piano and keyboards to almost professional level, guitar very badly and the flute ... well kind of, I also sing and write my own songs but don't do it anywhere than in the comfort of my dining room. I have some software on my computer that lets me make multi track recordings so am in the process of getting enough material together to make an album.

wannaBe1974 · 20/01/2006 14:25

Well have to shoot for now - gotta go and get something for dinner. decided on a pasta gratin with cream, pancetta and goats cheese.

mumswish · 20/01/2006 14:26

WOW wannabe!! Recording ARTIST!! cool.

I sing abit used to do it for everyone. Choir in school, then college, then went to work for holiday camps. Now I only do the odd karaoke when people persuade me to but I love singing to all my karaoke cd's from when I used to audition. I'm a singing in the shower type of person now.

I hope everything goes well there aswel. You should become a songwriter. They get most of the money with none of the fame

mumswish · 20/01/2006 14:26

ok enjoy your pasta! i'll speak to you on Monday now then
