scarletfingernail · 17/08/2011 08:30

Thanks guys.

Happy Birthday have hope you're doing something lovely.

Biscuits thinking of you having your scan today. It's so exciting and it will be the good news you need to put your mind at rest.

I will continue brooking no argument. Just need my lo to stay put now. My success rate is 33%, so it's about time the numbers were evened up.

I just asked DS if he'd prefer a baby brother or a baby sister. He pulled a face at sister and said baby brudder. Awww.

dreamfeeder · 17/08/2011 08:39

Ohhhhhhhh CONGRATULATIONS scarlet, well done you!!!!!! Sterling Rat- Smacking efforts have all paid off, frame those tests (at least for today before they go all wierd).

I had my Gu Ramekin upstairs and restrained myself. But i'm going to have to test tmw now with your inspiring BFP. Grin

biscuits good luck and come back and let us know how it went.

Hello to cake and welcome back to late and anyone else I've forgot in my excitement at scarlets bfp.
Thats made my day Smile

farfallarocks · 17/08/2011 09:51

YYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

First BFP, well done Scarlett!
I have a hilarious image of you shoving pee sticks in your DH's face first thing, brilliant!

Also 2nd the idea of recreational pee sticks for any time of the month. My stash is totally secret both the preggo tests and the shag dictator sticks. I am trying to keep the mystery alive, ahem.

biscuits thinking of you today, all crossed
late so sorry about your little bean. I have been there, its grim isn't it?
Don't be suprised if the awfulness hits you in a couple of weeks time, its normal but you are in the right place for serious brooking!
dream we really need another BFP so come on, do that test girl!

AF due on Friday here and seriously want her to get a move on so I can start with the NO BROOKING next month, big style.

That's fab news scarlet. Hopefully there will be some more now to follow

scarletfingernail · 17/08/2011 10:03

You lot are great. I really have felt more positive about the whole ttc thing since joining this thread. Hardly anyone in RL knows about my MCs and ttc, so it's been really helpful to come on here and talk with you fellow rat smackers.

What did I do this month?
Started taking vitamin B complex
Booted up my dusty old CBFM
SWI every day for 4 days leading up to OV and then both days during OV (sorry guys, that's probably not what you wanted to hear when you're all tired out from SWI)

Been to see my GP, he's getting me in early with the midwife given my history, who he thinks will put me under consultant care for the same reason. He said he's unable to refer me for an 8 week scan but suspects the midwife will at some point between 8 & 10 weeks. I have my first appointment with her in a fortnight. Don't want to put a downer on things, but I'll be in shock if I get to 8 weeks. Both my MCs were at 7. I'm worried about all the cramping I've had, as it's exactly the same as I had with both MCs and I didn't have any with DS.

So, I'm trying not to think of it as any more than a BFP at this stage. But it's great to know I'm over the first hurdle. And looking for the positives, if it doesn't stick at least I'll be referred for gynae investigations this time.

I'm not ready to leave you guys just yet. Keep your fingers crossed for me, I'm sending you lots of BFP vibes.

NinjaChipmunk · 17/08/2011 10:10

scarlet i really hope it all works out for you. And you don't have to leave - we need bfp people to rub up against like you and biscuits. What does vit b complex do?

Biscuitsandtea · 17/08/2011 10:10

Scarlet I'm keeping everything crossed that this is the stickiest bean yet. I'm hoping it's so sticky they have to bribe it out in 8 months time with ice cream and cbeebies......

You're right - this thread is awesome and actually makes you feel more positive.

You guys rock :)

GenericDietCola · 17/08/2011 10:18

I'm really feeling the good vibes on this thread!

Scarlet great news you are getting an early appointment with a midwife and I really hope all goes well this time. I don't know if this is a helpful thing to say but, sad though it is, having 2 prior mcs doesn't mean you will have another one. My dsis had a DS, then 2mcs, then her 2nd DS. I have also had 2mcs and very much hope to strike it lucky next time. Stay positive and hopefully everything will work out for you this time. For now, just enjoy the fact you've had a BFP! Well done you and thanks for the tips

Farfalla not long til AF shows up for the last time for 9 months - something to celebrate!

scarletfingernail · 17/08/2011 10:20

Grin biscuits

Ninja I read that vitamin B complex helps balance hormones. It also contains a small amount of the magic B6 vitamin which is supposed to increase progesterone which is needed for a healthy luteal phase and to support a pregnancy. I was also going to start taking a vitamin B6 supplement on its own as well but didn't get round to buying any. If I find myself back ttc this is what I will do.

I don't know if the vitamin B complex supplements have helped or not. What I will say is I've noticed I feel so much more energised since I started taking them. I've been quite lethargic since having DS but these are supposed to help food to energy to conversion so for me they've been worth having for that reason alone anyway.

NinjaChipmunk · 17/08/2011 10:31

thanks scarlet I find it hard to muster up the energy sometimes and for that reason I may try them I think.

dreamfeeder · 17/08/2011 10:35

Right, thanks for the tutorial scarlet. If i my BFP doesn't materialise I will also be buying the Vit B complex. However as I can't remember to take my folic acid (5 months trying, 5 tablets taken in total...gulp) i will have to take extreme measures to remember them!!!

Well, still no AF. I have to remind myself it ISN'T DUE YET. Now i don't want to test tmw just in case i don't join scralet and biscuits.

BUT all the good vibes here will have totally scared AF off, she won't be back for 9 months, I need to relax, and await my lovely BFP, marginally later than our clever, clever cycle buddy scarlet Grin

Solars · 17/08/2011 10:36

Right I'm off to the shops for some of those vitamin B complex

GenericDietCola · 17/08/2011 10:39

Dream you are DEFINITELY preggers - it's catching you know!

Solars we can be cycle buddies - think that's when I'm ov'ing too (are we already cycle buddies?)

Ooh Scarlet hopefully the vit B6 complex will wake me up a bit too - only started it on Monday. Hope I wasn't insensitive about your mcs and really hope ScarletBean stays put. Surely all the positive vibes and visualisations will help you.

dreamfeeder · 17/08/2011 10:40

Oh, solars, pick some up for me too while you're there, just in case. It'll also guarantee my BFP

And biscuits chuckling like a mad lady to myself over here about tempting scarlet bean out with ice cream and cbeebies Grin

Solars · 17/08/2011 10:40

Dream AF WILL continue to stay away! You are brooking after all x

maybebabyR · 17/08/2011 10:41

Wohoooooo Scarlet So so pleased for you Grin

Dream you made me chuckle over the improvised pee sticks. Shall I do a daily reminder for the the folic acid? Seen as you haven't taken it, you are obviously already pregnant!

Grin at camping comparison Imps I like to think that is an exact portrayal of us all.

Sorry to see you back again Late (in the nicest possible way) Pleased to see you are most definitely brooking no argument of any shape or size this month.

Have a lovely day Have
