Hi all!

I've just fell off the March bus last night and feeling Sad. There is another bus for April but I didn't see any familiar names on it and I know a few old friends fell off the March bus so I thought I'd start my own bus (first one I've really started!)

So I'm handing round the Wine and Biscuit and sitting at the back 'til AF
buggers off finishes her lovely visit!

Congrats LWH, so pleased for you. How soon did you test?

I am trying to wait 'til the latest AF could be due which would be Monday, although technically I could do an early on Fri/Sat.
I don't know which is worse; the dissappointment of BFN, an early BFP turning into a chem, or allowing myself to be hopeful for as long as possible, only to have hopes dashed by arrival of AF!!! Moan, moan moan - SORRY!

Truthfully, I don't hold out much hope this month. Full of cold, feeling rotten and convinced AF on her way. Sorry to be on a downer!!! Sad

Right I am off this bus. Big Wine huge amounts of fish & chips and the hour. After this I will look on the whole thing positively and no excuses next try.

Congrats to the BFPs and best of luck.

Bleats · 04/08/2011 19:47

Oh and 180 thanks for the insomnia advice - tried and tested! You are clearly preggers and I will lurk until confirmed Smile

harmonyb23 · 04/08/2011 19:50

Hello everybody,

Congratulations to all with positive tests!

I'm now 5DPO and am already fed up with waiting. Hoping that the next couple of weeks go by quickly. Really hoping to conceive this month as both my DS's are born at the tail end of the year and it would be nice to have a birthday in Spring(ish) time.

Sorry to hear that a few have been greeted by the arrival of AF. Good luck for the next cycle.

Speak soon!

Imustbecrazy26 · 04/08/2011 20:03

Well I just got a BFN Sad guess ill just wait to arrive!

FloydieDoydie · 04/08/2011 22:06

Oh congrats LWH Smile.

Should we have a late May mini-bus as a follow on from this one maybe? I didn't want to join it before as I was keeping positive for April, and would feel too late to the party now. Plus in my elderly state I fid remembering names hard Wink! Whadda we reckon?

LittleWhiteHeart · 05/08/2011 09:00

Hi All ... thanks for all the kind wishes and congrats.

Byrnsie30 I tested 3 days (Weds & Thursday) after AF was due (Monday) and got positives each time. I am nervous about it being a chem, as I haven't had chance to get used to my usual cycles again but to be fair, there is definitely something strange going on down there and this morning the smell of my morning usual cuppa made me heave something chronic ... ! Guess it's just a waiting game!

LWH x

HorseyGirl1 · 05/08/2011 10:37

Yes, please May mini-bus! Also elderly - 39 1/2 - so can't remember anything either - I can barely remember my password for MN :-(
If I ever do have a baby I swear I'll be the type of muppet who leaves her child asleep in a pram on the pavement while she drives off!

Hi all, well stupidly tested last and got a BFN with a boots test.

It says 50 % accurate -4
70% -3
80% -2
And 99 % on day

So not sure what is going on. Think yest was -2 but who knows?

Crazy sorry about your BFN. Byrnsie my advice is wait as I'm very confused now!

HorseyGirl1 · 05/08/2011 15:46

I think it's better to wait until at least the first day of your expected period day purely so you are more likely to get accurate reading. Remember also that the hormone increases so you might get a different reading in a few days. Don't be too disappointed though even if you're not - it can take around a year to get pregnant - but it's hard to accept that when you see the BFN. I had a mc in Dec (after only trying for 4 months last time) and its really only now I'm getting more rational about TTC again. My AF is due any day now but trying to just expect it rather than anything else. Last month it arrived at 25 days and I'm on a more normal for me 27 days this time so I feel like I'm making some ground anyway even if I'm not a happy preggo just yet. And no I won't be testing this month, I'll just wait! xx

Imustbecrazy26 · 05/08/2011 17:56

Sorry you got Bfn 180 but your af is not due yet maybe it just to early!!! Sill no Af for me cd 33 for me and dont really feel like af is coming any time soon so am just going to sit tight and see what happens next week!!!

Byrnsie30 · 05/08/2011 19:32

Hey ladies,

Thanks for the kind and rational responses to my earlier whinge!

I am CD 32, I got AF on CD 33 last time. I feel like something hormonal is going on in the abdominal area. Like you Horsey I am telling myself to just expect AF!

If I am unlucky enough to be kicked off then I would definately be interested in another mini-bus with familiar names, we are all getting so friendly! x

Evening all, fingers crossed for you tomorrow Byrnsie

Thanks for the advice Horsey and Crazy. I'm only CD28 today and for the last two I didn't test until CD31 so god knows why I'm thinking these cheapo early tests are going to work, was just so convinced it would be BFP. I'm frustrated as there is quite a lot of social life I'm missing out on at the moment as I can't drink and am too tired to go out.. so it's making me cross and want a good reason for all this deprivation Wink.

I was wondering whether it may be worth doing a thread for us all not related to conception so as we jump on and off the busses (and hopefully onto antenatal threads) we can still keep in touch without having to stalk each other..

MyCatLikesToHideInBoxes · 05/08/2011 20:20

Hi all,

Bagsie a seat on the minibus - if this isn't my month I can't think of a better set of compadres to share the next stage of the journey with.

Congrats LWH - thats fantastic news!

Well, so much for the calmness - I felt so ill I went to bed at 7.30 last night so I did a sneaky test this morning and got a bfn then realised I can't count and I was a day early for even 50% accuracy - what a div Blush

Anyway, I'm feeling your pain Byrnsie, 180 & IMBC26 - let's hope the coming week holds good news for all of us.

180 · 05/08/2011 21:11

I'm home alone tonight (babysitting for DP's night out). That second test is calling and I want to poas! Very, very tempted.

180 · 05/08/2011 21:41

-Decided to call it's bluff and have some stilton and brie whilst I still can. Can't face even a small amount of wine though, which is most unlike me.

Just re-read the instructions on the boots +/- test. The MOST annoying test in the world IMHO. On the front it says 99% accuracy and you can test up to 4 days early. In the instructions it says test any time of day. Then today on closer reading it says 'use first urine' if testing early. WTF? Of course it all makes sense given how these things work but how annoying.

Soo. gonna test tomorrow morning. Feeling less stupid having recently read about someone who had done 6 tests before she got a faint bfp (or should that be an sfp small faint positive?).

MyCatLikesToHideInBoxes · 05/08/2011 21:52

180 lol - me too, I treated myself to an alcoholic ginger beer although the cheese sounds delish!

Good luck testing tomorrow - will be checking in to see how it goes. For my part I'm going to hold out til sunday now (at least only being able to use FMU means that I only have to resist whipping out a test once before then.)

180 · 05/08/2011 22:05
Grin

and thanks for the FMU acronym... I finally understand it! Then again it did take me all of last month to twig what 2ww meant.

Right off to bed to prepare for tomorrow's test

CODwidow · 05/08/2011 22:25

can i join pls, due to poas in 1 week! Symptom spotting lots but been doing that for 8 months now :-((

Imustbecrazy26 · 05/08/2011 22:33

Ha was that me 180 it took me 6 tests before I got a bfp with dd Grin

I was going to try just wait for af too but not sure now last cycle was 29days and the one before was 38 so will try not till test till then! Felt quite emotional earlier for no reason and my boobs feel like they tingling? [humm].

Mycat could still be good news!

Good luck byrnsie if you test tomorrow!

HorseyGirl1 · 06/08/2011 07:31

Hello CODwidow - welcome on board. Symtom spotting - don't get me started on those. I felt sickish before my last 3 AF then realised that it was nerves about TTC! this month had yucky taste for a couple of days then realised oh it's because I have the cold. Pah!
FX for you My Cat and 180.

Bleats · 06/08/2011 08:52

FloydieDoydie and MyCatLikesToHideInBoxes can I join your minibus as I quite like you guys on this April bus. I would chart one myself but I am still on my training wheels total incompetent / lazy / not much of a driver Smile.

Bleats · 06/08/2011 08:56

Oh Blush cats you are still a passenger - stay on, stay on.

Best of luck with the tests, but given the inaccuracy can you hold on and just happily eat what you want with inpunity until the AF due date? Seems that the tests are just as stressy and not quite the same diversion of Brew, Biscuit or massive slab of cake. Just a thought and we all want to see the BFP.

Imustbecrazy26 · 06/08/2011 10:29

Am feeling sooooooooooo grumpy this monrning thought af might be arriving but still no sign!!!! Sorry all just getting a bit fed up!!!!
