Unfortunately my period came this morning. I was two days late and had started to give myself just the smallest glimmer of hope. Not sure what to do now - we are going to go onto IUI, but also due to go on holiday on Saturday for a week, which will mean that IUI is not possible this cycle if we go. It will be a really relaxing week away from what has been quite a full-on time at work and we will be able to shag a lot. On the other hand, we have now been trying for 18 months and 40th B'day is not too far away. Sometimes I do think that maybe these things aren't supposed to happen...... (not in particularly happy place at the moment)

ColleenEatsVeg · 25/07/2011 09:15

Sorry to hear fretfree and all those caught up by their AF.

Im off this morning for my blood test to hopefully get a bit of understand to my long ucl45 and testing to my ovulation. Double waiting game for those test results and my Af which are both due on Aug 3.. This is going to be a long week

Bleats · 25/07/2011 11:35

Hello - I don't know if there is any etiquette for joining two April buses, but if it is OK would love to joing both (and double my chances?).

Brand new to MN and only in month 2 of TTC. All this talk of ovulation dates, fertile days and BBT (seems like a lot of diary management) makes me realise that this getting pregnant thing is a little more complicated than expected. Isn't it suposed to be as easy as a split condom...

That said had just two small glasses of pimms yesterday and felt wasted. Also not feeling generally very well. Far too early for that to mean anything, but.

Bleats (31) TTC#1 AF due 8 Aug (ish)

BartletForAmerica · 25/07/2011 12:08

Hello, bleats. Welcome. Hope it does double your chances. It is encouraging to see other people with BFPs!

While thinking about that, is there a section in the list above for BFPs so we can aspire to join them?

Not sure when I will be ovulating this month. Cycle varying slightly (26-29 days) since last pregnancy, did have 24 day cycle length before, so we'll see what happens. DH knows what he has to do anyway! Grin

MyCatLikesToHideInBoxes · 25/07/2011 21:01

Hi all, sorry I've not been around for a while - we've had relatives staying.

Anyway - congrats to Martha and Rosy - lets keep 'em coming ladies!

Welcome newbies - hope this bus goes all the way for you.

Commiserations to all those who've been caught by the witch - wishing you better luck next bus.

Hope the blood tests went ok Colleen and you're not feeling too much like a pin cushion. Fingers crossed the results won't matter for you - roll on next wednesday.

And Imbc26 I am very excited at the idea that your dp's mother can tell if someone's pg before a test can. If she is right, can we borrow her on the bus - she could save us a fortune in first response tests?

Well I was convinced that it would be sods law that I'd get a positive opk whilst the house was full and there was no chance of swi but for once my cycle has done what I want and after waving bye bye to my lovely relly's yesterday I woke up today to get a Smile on my digi opk - hurrah!

Needless to say Mr Mycat is walking round with a smile on his face tonight Wink

suresure · 25/07/2011 23:21

May I join the bus? Despite trying for 18 months, 2 MC last year, another MC before my DD, and not getting any younger - I didn't realise there were buses! I'm glad I've discovered transportation so I can stop trailing round the wilderness on my own......

suresure (37) TTC#2 AF due 24 July (ish)

Yes, the sharp eyed will notice that was yesterday! Going mental looking for symptoms. Have had bad backache since yesterday, not a normal AF symptom for me and don't recall that with DD preg. You think it's a pregnancy symptom?

I can't test - I'd rather just be 'late' that know I'm preg and MC again.... Sorry it's all been getting to me. Chocolate brownie anyone, flask of peppermint tea? Brew

fretfree · 26/07/2011 09:11

So, finally decided to not go on holiday and start IUI. Went to the doctor's this morning to get the dildocam to check for cysts (apparently this is important before starting fertility treatment, but would not be an issue otherwise) - and I have a residual 10mm cyst left over from ovulation this month (wasn't there before so it is not a permanent fixture). Dr has put me on birth control pills for a few days before we check and then start the hormone injections. So - that means we start again the day after i get back from the holiday and I don't have to wait a full cycle! A slightly silver lining to a black cloud :)

I'm jumping off the bus now - good luck to all who remain

lauraloo09 · 26/07/2011 14:59

hi all sorry not posted for a while a big hello to the newbies

Well a week as passed since my doctors appointment and AF still not arrived, trying hard not to test again as cant bear the thought of another BFN so just going to hold off. Ive been absolutely shattered the past few nights, not having any energy at all even my DH has commented on this and the cramping still comes and goes. There are times i feel as if AF is going to start but yet it stays away not sure what the hell is going on with my body, not seeing doc again for another 3 weeks which is going to be the longest 3 weeks ever!!

ColleenEatsVeg · 26/07/2011 16:35

fretfree I hope IUI and everything goes well for you. lauraloo (hug) poor you! I tested yesterday foolishly and had a BFN. I know I need to stop being silly now and atleast wait til next Wednesday.

Wish you the best!

twobecomethree · 26/07/2011 18:10

Hi to all the newbies - I've been at a friend's wedding for a few days so not on here for awhile, this has also meant that there has been a welcome distraction from my 2ww!

fretfree so sorry about AF and that you're downbeat. Glad that you've made a decision about IUI and I wish you the best of luck with that.

lauraloo sounds like you are being put through it a bit this month - I'm still hoping for you that you will get a BFP due to no AF and also all the symptons you've been having and that the previous tests have been wrong!

I reckon I'm somewhere between 8-11 DPO - is that too early to test???! I really want to test - I'm sure I've read somewhere that you should test in the morning, is tht always the case? I've got cheapy internet tests plus some First Response ones!

JoInScotland · 26/07/2011 19:28

Hello folks, I am now 10 days past ovulation and had a bit of blood today. It wasn't much at all, but it was bright red. I recall from my pregnancy that it was pinkish/brown when it implanted. I am a bit worried/concerned as I had a miscarriage about 2 weeks into a pregnancy in April. Is it too early to be implantation? I can do a test in the morning... I did one just now and it was negative...

minipie · 26/07/2011 19:34

Not too early to be implantation and implantation blood can be red I think. Fx for you Jo. When do you usually get AF after ovulation?

spout · 26/07/2011 19:45

Hello new April passengers! suresure I'll have a chocolate brownie. I'm not very clued up about symptoms I'm afraid. My first symptom (that I noticed) with DS was that my period was a week late Blush

So I'm now 3dpo (check me out with my fancy new FF lingo) and I've spent the last week being a total sex pest Grin Now for the wait..

twobecomethree · 27/07/2011 10:47

BFN for me this morning Sad. Gutted about it even though itmight still be too early at somewhere 9-12 dpo but not sure when is too early for it not to show. AF due at wkend so Will probably wait til Fri/Sat to test again if no sign. Feel rubbish! Don't go too crazy in the 2ww spout!

muchostinky · 27/07/2011 19:17

I am gonna hold off testing as long as possible I think, my DP says he is not even going to think about it so he doesn't get his hopes up - best idea all round for me I think!

Sorry to hear about BFN twobecomethree, fingers crossed that it is just a bit early. Smile

twobecomethree · 27/07/2011 19:43

That sounds like a good plan for not thinking about it mucho, but I have no such willpower - it seems to have consumed my life a bit too much right now! I admire your patience - keep it up and good luck.

Need to hear some positive stories about sympton spotting and BFPs to keep my mind out of wallowing - this thread seems to have run a bit dry but there were plenty of potential finder-outers about this time???

JoInScotland · 27/07/2011 19:43

Bit of brown discharge today. ? I usually get AF 2 weeks after ovulation, as you would expect, but seemingly didn't ovulate at all last month, after a very early miscarriage in May. I didn't think that was possible (to not ovulate at all?) So really not sure what is going on. The waiting is killing me. Negative test this morning, will try again tomorrow.

accurate · 27/07/2011 19:58

Hi Jo probably not what you want to hear but I tend to have that sort of discharge a few days before my AF :/

twobecomethree · 27/07/2011 20:00

I'm not sure if its possible to not ovulate but still have a "normal" cycle Jo - how come you don't think that you ovulated? So you've had red now brown discharge? Might just be your body getting re-adjusted after mc but I'm hoping that its more likely signs of a BFP coming your way....

Karbea · 27/07/2011 20:42

twobecomethree I never test till the day after I'm due, and even then i dont if i feel like af is coming, which means I rarely test. I wouldn't want to get a bfp and it be a chemical pregnancy. I think temping helps with this as I know if my temp is dropping then I'm not pregnant.

twobecomethree · 27/07/2011 21:33

I started trying to do temps but I'm not a morning person so haven't kept up with it religiously if I'm honest, will defo next month if AF arrives. I think Im going to have to force myself to learn your mentality about testing Karbea that said will definitely give in probably test on Friday just to put myself out of my misery.

suresure · 28/07/2011 00:06

Twobecomethree I never test til after I'm due either, too expensive when trying for 18 months! Sorry about your BFN.

Well after two evenings of lying in bed with agony backache and odd belly cramping, still no AF after 33 days so I tested early this morning and it was BFP! Grin.

I'm giving you all the credit, I think it was the luck of the bus!

muchostinky · 28/07/2011 00:23

Well done suresure - such great news!

Hope that the luck of the bus spreads! Grin

spout · 28/07/2011 06:46

hurrah suresure Grin
