anyone else see imaginary lines?

Ok I may possibly have reached my most desperate point so far, I may well be making myself believe I can see a faint line . I'm also struggling to not go obsessively back to the test to re-look and figure out whether there is a faint line there or if I am just making myself see things. It's the kind of faint line where 2 times after looking at the test I didn't even see it, and then after a lot of squinting and staring I wondered "am I making myself see things" (and I reckon I probably am).

My AF is due in 2 days, it is going to be a particularly long and torturous 2 days.

Hey Dizzy'. I know how you feel about the waiting to TTC. DP wants to wait till next summer after we're married. But I just don't want to wait any longer, we've been together nearly 5 bloody years! I got all excited this month thinking I was pg, and how as he never ejaculates inside, it would be down to only a very few sperm, so it must've been just 'meant to be'... I came on the other day though :( But anyway, I just wanted to say how I envy that you're even trying, and wish we were... How old are you if you don't mind me asking? Because if you're under 35 you should be very fertile and it shouldn't take long before you've got yourself a bun in the oven... :)

Damn, 5 years, that is an eternity isn't it? You've definitely got my sympathies. Even with how unlikely it is you still manage to get yourself worked up every month don't you? I'm 25 btw, we want to have 4 by the time we're 30 and this will be our first one, so we've lots of work to do

Ok FR just confirmed that faint line was not imaginary or an evaporation line, BFP! It appeared within the first min, there's no doubt about it.

Dizzy am going through what you went through so am getting hope. I had spotting and then a faint line this morning. Am now sitting in the office wondering if it was a faint line and trying to remember which test I used. Because I think it was a clear blue plus and I don't remember seeing a horizontal, only a vertical. I've scoured the internet and POAS site says if you only get a vertical it is still positive (but if you only get a horizontal it isn't). But I'm going to have to wait until tomorrow morning to test again - aaagghhh.

Maybe the horizontal line was a little too faint to register, but if you've seen the vertical then it does sound promising. As your AF late?

Yes AF late but was taking progesterone until Tuesday so that would have made it late anyway (due Monday but expected it to start yesterday or today after progesterone, am 15DPO). It's so silly, I want to go and get another test but have had 1 cup of tea and 2 glasses of water this morning so am going to be v diluted. Also, I will lose my parking space and it is 50C outside and I don't fancy having to walk!! I am turning into a fruitcake.
