WTTC Apr/May/Jun Graduation thread

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 04/04/2011 15:21

Hey, this is a thread for all the graduates from the Waiting to TTC thread who are going to start trying April/May/June. We've all got to know each other too well to just bugger off on our separate ways now! And if any of the Waiting crew who are still waiting want to pop by there will always be cups of tea (or something stronger) for you!

So, grab your folic acid and your sexy undies and get comfy (possibly with your legs in the air...?)

We had a great day darcie I got up early to walk the mutt and watch the F1. Then I made American pancakes for brekkie cos I had left over creme fraiche from last night curry. Then DH n me Went to the pub to watch the arsenal game. Now got me feet up n letting hubbie make tea. Steak n ale pie n veggies. Well when I say make I mean reheat leftovers from 2 weeks ago n oven some puff pastry! But he's making so I won't complain!!

DarciesmumandTTC2 · 10/04/2011 17:40

we watched the F1 this morning DP was swearing at the 'bloody spaniard' Grin
my DP always cooks here, he just interferes if i do it so i just let him makes life so much easier :)

melliebobs · 10/04/2011 18:36

lol the DH hates the f1 so i watch it with the dog! The noise of it sends him to sleep so he got the lie in! That's good though. Having a DP that cooks! Mine does, and he aint half bad at it either. It's just his days are so long travelling to and from work if i waited for him to cook tea during the week it'd be my bedtime!

DarciesmumandTTC2 · 10/04/2011 19:03

My DP loves the F1 Lewis is his fav driver, mine of course is Jenson Grin

DP finishes between 5&6pm, generally I'm home for school run but not been getting home between 4-6pm. He'd still rather cook tho my chore is the ironing x

melliebobs · 10/04/2011 19:51

I've been a massive F1 fan since i was little and grew up in the Schumacher era so until 3/4 year ago he was my driver! Now a RebBull follower so Vettel and Webber all the way!

Eeeeek i Haaaaaaaaaate ironing. My theory is don't overload the washer, get it out on the line as soon as possible to dry and nothing ever needs to be ironed. And if it does that's what dh is for!

DarciesmumandTTC2 · 10/04/2011 20:47

I hate ironing too but my DP doesn't know how to operate one!

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 11/04/2011 10:19

had a lovely lovely weekend. Little sis came to stay and one of DH's friends hung out with us (I think he has a crush!) We played poker, went to a gorgeous local pub and sunbathed in the pub garden, chatted, cooked together - just generally chilled out. A perfect weekend.

Oh, and SWI has commenced Bizarrely the SWI seems to invoke greater interest on DH's part than SWOI. As the higher-libidoed one of our pair I am not going to complain!! :-)

Am now watching DH's friend (henceforth to be known as tallguy for the sake of ease) with interest to see if he follows up his obvious interest in my sister. I wish she was as easy to read - I can't figure out if she fancies him or not... Oh I do love a little light matchmaking and vicarious romance :-)

LOL good stuff cakes! I am also the higher libidoed one in my relationship and have brought up with soon to be dh that we need to increase the frequency and he has said it'll be much more frequent when SWI, he can't wait! Maybe they like to feel they have a job to do?!

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 11/04/2011 15:03

shame they can't see servicing their wife as the job in hand ;-)

Oh well - I'll take what I can get!

DarciesmumandTTC2 · 11/04/2011 17:56

Ahh matchmaking cakes good stuff :)

I'm the high libedo in the relationship too and agree now DP has a reason he's been totally different, am loving it Grin

Only 8 more days till AF is due! Going sooo slow :(

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 11/04/2011 20:49

lol - you could get one of those pg tests that can tell you 'five days before your period'...

OP posts:
DarciesmumandTTC2 · 11/04/2011 22:46

Would be negative. Found out I was preggers with DD when I was 16wks due to home tests always showing negative.

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 12/04/2011 09:20

OP posts:
DarciesmumandTTC2 · 12/04/2011 16:10

I am odd lol.

Nope not sure Cakes Hope shes alright.

How is everyone today?

I felt sooo sick last night, sooo tired but woke at 6:15am and couldn't get back to sleep :( Hoping this is a sign and not just a bug!

ShaggingWithIntent · 12/04/2011 16:26

Hi Cakes - I'm still here. moved onto the Jan bus though as AF arrived today and I am now officially on cycle 1!!!! Was getting confused being on 4 different threads!!

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 12/04/2011 16:46

Well snap - we're both on cycle 1 now. What's this bus of which you speak?

Did you see what my hubby did when he found out I was on day 1? I go squishy every time I see the tulips :-)

OP posts:
melliebobs · 12/04/2011 19:16

Nowt wrong with the January bus! AF due Sunday and I do and I don't want it to turn up. Baby by the end of the year (possibly) YEY! but then a December child! DH is a Xmas baby (Xmas eve) and he hates it. Every year I get the tales of

Birthday presents wrapped in Christmas paper but inside out so just the plain side shows
Getting half a five pound note in a birthday card n the other half on Xmas day in an Xmas card
Friends from school NEVER being able to come to his birthday party
AND one year his mum booked him a birthday party at Megabowl. Apart from they couldn't do a birthday party. Just a Christmas party. So he had Santa turn up so he threw a strop that it was his birthday not Christmas, hit Santa and sulked for the rest of the day!

ShaggingWithIntent · 12/04/2011 19:21

Ahhhhh that's do cute! Bless him. My DH never buys flowers but he has been known to buy me charms for my links bracelet. I anticipate a stork charm in the near future!!

He's also been talking about taking me shopping this weekend as he just got paid a good bonus (2.5x my salary!!!) he's also been asking about the shoes I've had on my wish list for about 2 years!!! He really spoils me, I'm really lucky :)

The bus is the Jan one. If you click on my name and look for the topics I'm on it should take you there. X

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 12/04/2011 19:49

It won't let me click on your name - but seriously... 'bus'?

OP posts:
ShaggingWithIntent · 13/04/2011 09:20

January "bus"

Biccies · 13/04/2011 11:16

Hey everyone, I totally don't get the "bus" thing either. why's it a bus? can't we have a train or a rollercoaster?
Me and DH had a little "accident" a week or so ago after one too many drinks, and now I'm symptom spotting like mad! I always said I wouldn't get obsessive but it's already happened!! AF not not regular yet after coming off the pill, so I don't even have a definite date to wait for. I'm fairly sure I'm not PG, but it's difficult not to wonder.... Is that the same situation you're in Darciesmum?

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 13/04/2011 11:20

Typical. I almost never drink coffee. I like it, but am just not bothered enough to make the effort to make it or pay for it. Now I've started TTC all I want is coffee. Coffee coffee coffee. Want. Bah.

OP posts:
Biccies · 13/04/2011 11:39

Are you not drinking cos cos of TTC? That's very good of you!! We're only half trying at the moment and I'm still drinking wine/beer/you name it. I'm kind of hoping that if I got a BFP I'd go off it and stopping wouldn't be a problem...
I've kind of made myself sound like a bit of an alki, but when it's hot, and people offer you pimms.... what are you meant to do?!!

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 13/04/2011 11:47

Well I don;t drink alcohol anyway and tea and coffee only rarely, so not that much of a sacrifice!

OP posts:
melliebobs · 13/04/2011 13:38

hey biccies i know what you think me and dh are swi but not swi intent if you get my drift It's as if we are both trying to double bluff my body becuase we both were like 'lets take it as it comes, not to get obsessed by it with charts and graphs etc'! i've recently come off the pill so don't really know what day my af should be here (im guessing sunday) and now its gettingcloser and closer to then that anything no matter how slight it is i'm like 'oooooh that could be a symptom' anything from i fell up the stairs once (apparantly some old wives tale), low level nausea (probably me now getting stressed!) absolute shattardness and eating like a bloomin horse (which is more that i saved all my xmas chocolate till after our wedding and now it's over i've got a massive stash of goodies and once you start. well!). So yer basically getting a lil obsessed, although i prefer excited, which is what i said i wouldn't do!
