Ok anyone know is insomnia a symptom? 3 nights now I've been hot and unable to get to sleep - not me at all, I'm a sleep anytime, anywhere kind of gal! It had better be as getting fed up with sleep deprivation!!

GMT I've heard that people often get gum problems during pregnancy - think thats why they give you free dental care on NHS when you are pg Fx for you x

goingmadtrying · 19/04/2011 02:29

I'm hoping insomnia is a sign as I just woke up and can't drop back off, I'm laying here wide awake arrrrgggh annoyed

goingmadtrying · 19/04/2011 02:31

OP posts:
DarciesmumandBump2 · 19/04/2011 06:48

I def think insomnia is a sign. I'm the same as Liliana sleep anywhere, anytime person. been awake in the night and fully awake by 6am. Think its my bodys way of saying get used to it lol.

goingmadtrying · 19/04/2011 06:59

Because my ds2 still wakes in the night I normally sleep like a log until he wakes up but typically he slept through till 5 went back sleep at 4!!! And my dh has just got in from work and kicked me out of bed :( shattered

OP posts:
MakesCakesWhenStressed · 19/04/2011 08:53

Well I slept for about 11 hours last night and woke up with a headache and feeling sick.

Dh and I are both being terribly sensible and telling each other that I can't possibly be pregnant already, but both of us are secretly thinking "Sleeping like a dead person and queasy all morning - c'mon!"

I don't know what to think. And since I'm on day, um 12 or 13 it's waaaaaay too early to test.

Oh yeah - and I've done my back in and I'm in real pain. Ouch.

spidookly · 19/04/2011 09:14

Not much to say, will be lurking at the back.

I will say this though - nausea and tiredness after too much sleep is not uncommon. That's how I feel after 11 hours sleep too.

Even if you have ovulated already the chances of you being pregnant enough to have symptoms is vanishingly small. Almost impossible. Try not to drive yourself crazy so soon :)

Your period is due a week after mine, and I still have my period.

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 19/04/2011 09:31

My period only lasts for 2 days.

I dunno, maybe I just have a bug, because I felt like this when I hadn't had enough sleep as well.

Liliana1 · 19/04/2011 10:12

How long after ovulation can you start having symptoms? I'm thinking it's too early but finding it hard not to get hopeful every time I feel anything. Can I also ask mcws What are the days you are counting? Is that from the beginning of your cycle? I'm on day 16 or 17 if thats the case.

Just read on another forum it's something miniscule like a 20% chance of getting pg each month. I'm never lucky so feeling it's less and less likely to ever happen. As you can see no sleep has not improved my mood, plus woke up boiling hot and uncomfortable :(

Going away now until I have something uplifting and positive to say

Is now a good time for cakes? :)

blue22 · 19/04/2011 10:18

Hi Liliana sorry you're feeling down. Yes it's day 1 of your period which is counted as CD1. Think it is too early for symptoms in reality, though obviously that doesn't stop us spotting them! Today my boobs are tender, so I'm hoping too. Irritatingly 'symptoms' of pregnancy are the same as AF so it's very difficult to tell!
Sorry for your BFN goingmad but you know that it's WAYYYYY too early to test!!

Oh and it's always the right time for cakes and Brew

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 19/04/2011 10:24

Yes - I was counting from day 1 of my period/cycle.

And I feel positively obliged to confirm that yes, now is an excellent time for cakes. xxx

goingmadtrying · 19/04/2011 11:53

Ooooh liliana don't worry about being down and ranting on here's that's what were here for :)

cakes definately sounds good, just walked to the park in the sunshine, watching my beautiful boys playing footie Grin I've decided not going to actively try anymore but will stay on mumsnet as will hopefully happen one day :)

EsmeWeatherwax · 19/04/2011 13:35

Hi all. liliana there's nothing like ttc to get you down!

Well, no af yet is the good news, bfn is the bad, lol. I was feeling incredibly sick this morning when I got up, but suspect that had more to do with Dh's birthday celebratory Indian takeaway than anything else!

gmt the relaxed approach is definitely the best, for your own sanity if nothing else.
