I am about to start cycle 5 and wondered if there were any fellow sex pests out there who wanted to join me in regular swi, not so regular poas and plenty of Wine, Biscuit, Brew and [chocolate emoticon].

I've just got a bfp. I'm very happy and surprised too xx

eurochick · 31/05/2011 11:07

Excellent news, Tiredtrout.

Carlitawantsababy · 31/05/2011 13:23

Wow! Fantastic news Tiredtrout ! Congratulations and well done for getting the week off to a good start! Whenever anyone announces I look to the stats as wonder how long you have been trying and when af was actually due but can't see your stats, will you fill me in?

BoogiesBunny · 31/05/2011 14:49

Poppy I am so sorry - when I read that you had got a BFP I was so happy for you as I've been with you for a couple of buses. I hope that you and DP are there for each other. Thinking of you and wishing you well.

I tested yesterday and got BFN, although AF not due until Thursday. I don't think this is my month although DH says not to write it off quite yet as I've been weird lately. I can't quite bring myself to tell him that he keeps winding me up - hence the weirdness as I try to keep my annoyance inside! My sister has moved her wedding to an earlier date - next May - which doesn't leave me much time to get a baby out and be trim on time. I have a feeling that I may be the heavily pregnant bridesmaid - wonderful! LOL!

peapop · 31/05/2011 16:22

Congratulations Tiredtrout ! Wonderful news!! Grin

So sorry about BFN Boogies Hope you are ok.

Thanks weimy I'm still gutted and have the mother of all cramps too which doesn't help! I think I've learnt a very valuable lesson about testing too early this month though!

Thanks everyone. This will be our third child and we managed it our first month trying, I only had my mirena removed on the 11th April so we are both very surprised it's happened so quick. I just have to build up the strength to tell work after my docs appointment because my job isn't really safe for babies xx

Sorry to hear your news poppy - same thing happened to me on my second miscarriage - woke in France with the pain and bleeding so drove all way home and straight to A+E at my local hospital. At least 2nd time round I knew what was happening.
Bought a test this morning as expected AF around 28th May - no sign yet. I am building the courage to test in the morning - DS was due 2nd June 2010 so it has meaning for us (DS decided to stay inside until 10th June!). I have to say that I feel very nervous about it!...

eurochick · 01/06/2011 14:02

Can I have a virtual hug?

I am on 11 dpo and my luteal phase is usually 11/12 days so AF is imminent. I am normally on a very even keel emotionally but this month I have been down, grumpy and teary during the 2ww. It is most unlike me. Even DH (not the most observant of men) noticed I have been unusually irritable. I think the acupuncture is stirring up my hormones and doing strange things. I really can't believe this is taking so long. I will be on to cycle 7 soon. I want to have a little cry (again, most unlike me - I am a very rare crier) but I am at work. Meh.

Lugsie · 01/06/2011 19:18

Oh eurochick I'll give you that hug... its such a stressful and emotional time isn't it... its so nice to have all you ladies for support as I'm sure my RL friends are sick of hearing me going on about it all!

poppy I'm so sorry Sad hope you and DP are ok - thinking of you both.

Congrats tiredtrout

eurochick · 01/06/2011 19:24

Thanks, lugsie. It is horrible. I normally only feel like crying once or twice a year but it has been almost every day over the last week. I think I'd actually feel better if I could cry but I can't!

Sorry for the self-absorbed posts today. I am just a little wrapped up in my TTC emotions!

toddle · 01/06/2011 21:17

yippie :) feel like i have half of my life back. Im free from uni work from now on and have just got my grades back for last presentation and exam and they are my highest. just graduation to look forward to now.

(Hug) for eurochick im feeling the same way. I was so excited when having taking my implant out at the thought of getting BFP so soon but its just not worked out that way. I feel slightly cheated with all sex education lessons etc you are lead to believe that by even looking at a mans dangly bits you will get pregnant so clearly wrong.

To make it all worse AF was absent for many days so POAS a faint line came up and was rather excited, however much i tried to tell myself it may be to good to be true as it was last time when i got the faint line. DP suggested waiting untill thursday to POAS again but sods law and bloody AF turned up today :(

Sorry to hear abot your loss Poppy

Big congrats Tiredtrout

eurochick · 02/06/2011 12:23

Well, after taking a dive yesterday, my temp was back up again this morning (AF is due today/tomorrow). Tested. BFN. My body is just f---king with me. Meh.

Poppyjen · 02/06/2011 19:22

Hi ladies

back in the saddle again so to speak Smile its been a rough few days thanks for all of your kind words. I feel like I have done my being sad and feel much more positive now.

Went to the GP on Tues who referred me to hospital for scan to make sure all was ok (well, as ok as can be...) but they made me POAS at hospital appointment this morning and as it was negative they didn't do a scan just gave me a pep talk about how 1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage and 1 in 3 women experience them. Not sure why they thought that would make me or anyone else feel better - made me feel a bit like I was being told to stop whining.... the joys of the NHS I suppose. Anyway good news is that there's no reason why DH and I can't continue TTC straight away so here I am back again.

CD6 - here's hoping the rumours about increased fertility after miscarriage are true Smile

Congratulations Tiredtrout Grin

eurochick · 02/06/2011 22:20

Welcome back, Poppyjen. I guess swi will be starting soon. I will have my fingers crossed for you! (Virtually, otherwise I can't type...)

weimy · 02/06/2011 23:05

1 dpo, and so it begins!!!

OP posts:
eurochick · 03/06/2011 11:28

I am feeling a bit better today.

I have just been to the doc's to collect my Day 3 and Day 21 results. And they appear to be normal. Which is unexpected (I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was a teenager).

My LH and FSH levels are fine independently but not in a 1:1 ratio, so it looks like the PCOS is still there (which comes as no surprise as I was yet again plucking hairs out of my chin this morning!), but testosterone and prolactin were fine. And my progesterone at 6dpo (7dpo fell during the bank holiday weekend) was 30, indicating I probably ovulated.

The doctor gave me a referral to a gynae straight away and said the wait should only be a few weeks, so that's all good.

It is kind of confirming my suspicion though that the problem is probably around implantation. I keep getting a few days of symptoms in the 2ww and then they always go away.

And I still haven't got my flipping period. It was due yesterday/today. I wish it would just get on with it now!

toddle · 03/06/2011 13:01

Glad to hear your feeling a little better eurochick and got your referal. Im thinking its the sunshine may make everyone a little happy today :)

Im out of the race so to speak this month already unless i have a exceptionally short or long cycle as dp is of tanning himself in Greece for a week with ds. Initally a bit gutted but im not going to use any OPK's and stress about anything this month so in some ways feel a little relieved.
