I am about to start cycle 5 and wondered if there were any fellow sex pests out there who wanted to join me in regular swi, not so regular poas and plenty of Wine, Biscuit, Brew and [chocolate emoticon].

Hard to say really emmalou didn't have this when on the pill but I did get it about a week or so before AF last cycle I think. In my case I suspect its partly due to my PCOS symptoms coming back again after stopping the pill - I get terrible water retention, I have put on 3 and a half kilos since Feb, and as I was only 51kg to begin with (and I am v. tiny, only 5'1) that's really noticeable.

Currently feel like a beachball - keep seeing those pictures of people walking down the street with muffin tops hanging over their jeans (you know the ones that the BBC use to illustrate any story about obesity - where you can't see their heads just their torsos and legs) and I think, that's me that is.... Blush

I also have pcos and on clomid taken 3 months now i haven't weighed myself lately i was 7 stone 6lb and am 5 5 i think i am heavier now aswell Shock

emmalou PCOS is such a horrid thing isn't it - All of the GPs I have spoken to about it have fobbed me off saying that its really common and that the most effective way to manage it is to lose weight. Well at 8 - 8 1/2 stone (and in your case even less) that's not really very sensible advice is it. The only other thing I have been offered is the pill which if you are TTC is not exactly ideal is it!

I am currently looking in to some herbal supplements to help to get things back on track, have you tried/heard of anything that's good?

A friend of mine had great success with Clomid after a few months of trying to get the dosage right so FX that it works out well for you too Smile .

Also, just to add that in the first few weeks of my pregnancy with DS I got the same thing, extremely bloated. I would start the day off looking my normal self and end it looking rather pregnant so you never know.... Smile

I even bought robitussin cought medicine to take when i was meant 2 b ovulating i heard it helps you conceive well time will tell.
How long and what dosage of clomid was your friend on?
Did you fall easy with your 1st? I fell after 3 months of coming of the pill

I like the idea on the not counting, Grads and lost along the way sections i was going to do that too but didnt no if people would object. Ohh and solitaire thats a bad one for me its like a addiction.

Hi emmalou I'll ask my friend and let you know Smile Yes I did, DS came along 1st cycle after stopping the pill which is why I am getting frustrated that the same thing hasn't happened again Grin

So if you don't mind me asking were you able to see fertility doc and be prescribed Clomid etc on the NHS or did you have to go private? Only asking as my GP told me that as I already had one child he wouldn't refer me for any fertility advice/investigation or treatment on the NHS. Would be very interested to hear your experience Smile

Another vote for lists here - now we just need someone to create them... ...

toddle - am having awful flashbacks to writing my dissertation in a matter of days flat working through the night and mainlining strong black coffee.. god I couldn't go through being a student again! Just thinking about having kids who have homework to do brings me out in a cold sweat! Good luck though! And in no way should you be tempted to sort out the lists as something to do other than getting on with your dissertation! Wink

As for the whole reproducing thing - i'm CD9 (and cracked and got the silly paid for membership on ff as I liked all the stats and missed them once my first 30 day membership thingy had ended) and am planning on pouncing DP tonight in case I ovulate earlier this month than last month (ov'd on CD14 last month but have wobbly cycle so am covering all bases!) He of course doesn't know this yet and is currently killing zombies on the 360... and i've just realised it's gone 11pm and the odds of either of us staying awake long enough to shag are incredibly slim. God, when did we get so old??

Also - am I the only one who thinks of microserfs whenever robitussin is mentioned? (Although I suspect Michael wasn't trying to increase his EWCM and was more likely going for the dissociative hallucinogenic side effects - which when you think about it, could be a great aid during the 2ww! Wink

poppyjen I got my clomid from my gp on the nhs but they wouldn't do anything till i had been trying a year as i fell with dd naturally

Hi ladies still no news from me, BFN this morning and now on CD 31. Temps have been rising the past couple of days so outside chance that I ovulated really late (i.e. CD 29 Shock ) but otherwise still thoroughly fed up with not knowing what's going on.

Just ordered some more internet cheapies, I know they aren't the best things to use and definitely promote POAS obsession but as I have no idea of my cycle length I guess I am just going to have to POAS every week or so to make sure.....

Have to say I'm very intruiged by some of your devotion to conception and the level of study and planning effort going into some of your attempts...I'm starting to think I'm not trying hard enough. I have no idea about luteal phases!

Last nights attempts at SWI seduction failed rather miserably as I accidentally poisoned DP with an undercooked sausage roll. My domestic goddess halo is definitely a tad wonky now... but the biscuits are fine, honest!

emmalou - yes just spotted it Smile Its good that your GP is being supportive, although it must have been awful having to wait for a year before you got any real help! How are you getting on with Clomid?

I think I am going to try some natural supplements, maybe Agnus Castus and we'll see what happens.

hello all and sorry for total radio silence! congrats to those with BFPs!!

had basically written this month off as combination of DH's travel, illness and relatives visiting has meant very little SWI this month, and then I seemed to have EWCM twice which makes little sense Confused. I came off the pill about 15 months ago, and my cycle is still very variable, so last month was only 26 days, but I have had a 39 day, and so today is CD30, and no AF yet, so I am trying not to get my hopes up as it is probably just going for a new personal best of 41 or something really annoying! POASed yesterday evening as I couldn't bear it any longer and a BFN, but still no AF. may crack and POAS again tomorrow, but will try to hold out til Fri or Sat.

Have been keeping up with the posts, and it is so great to know you guys are here and understand the madness! Grin I don't write much, but I like being on this bus (though liked the Orient Express idea too..!)

Well today I finally got the red cross on fertility friend giving ovulation date of 2nd May (CD29 Shock ) so I guess I am starting another 2ww! I will change my stats (using Weimy's very lovely neat and tidy new lists Smile )

Because of being away with in laws/ grandparents etc over the bank holidays we didn't get chance to do much SWI unfortunately, but did manage to DTD on ovulation day more by luck than judgement so who knows...only another 11 days to go then....
