Getting us started on a new thread; this one is gonna be a lucky one!

OP posts:
Blackkat · 22/04/2011 21:26

mouse he's doing great, thanks for asking. Just been to see him for first time since Sunday and he looks like a different person, so hoping that the op coupled with the hormone treatment are having a good effect.

I'm doing ok too, just trying to take things easy and not stress - easy when it's sunny like this.

Really hope AF shows her face for you soon.

Huge congratulaions to Battery Grin Grin and hoping all well BB

to A&R, Izzy, knitter, Chloe, YRMOTB and everyone else

mousebacon · 22/04/2011 21:31

That's great love, I'm pleased you're both doing well [bugrin] xx

batteryhen · 22/04/2011 21:40

mouse Due dates are hard, mine from my second mc is next week :(

My due date from my first mc passed in a blur as I ended up having the ERPC from my second mc on the same day. Of all the days in the year ....

BUT.....you know a baby is coming your way. An extremely cute mouse bean [bugrin]

nickstermum · 22/04/2011 21:41

BBB great news on prog tabs x FX it calms down and burrows deeply x

Battery WHOOP FAB news lovely xxxx Lots of sticky thoughts coming your way...

Ladybee · 22/04/2011 22:17

hi BBB well that doesn't sound too disastrous, I mean bleeding of any type is awful and scary but sometimes the implantation bleeding thing really does exist and everything is happening as it should. I've got everything crossed for you that it works out that way for you.

battery I injected in the tummy - the pinching thing always seemed much easier there as there are natural creases whereas legs seemed harder. My best tip is to push the needle in firmly and quickly but inject very slowly, and definitely no rubbing, and try to avoid places where jeans etc might rub.

Ah mouse the due dates are sad, even if you don't tell him why, don't stop the tears if they start.

I had a float this evening - has anyone else done this? It was my second time and I thoroughly recommend it. Very relaxing. I now want to snooze.

getawiggleon · 22/04/2011 22:29

Mouse Hugs on your dd, it's a horrible feeling and your body being in limbo at the moment must be making it even harder. I hope af shows up soon xx

AandR I haven't tried Wild Yam but I did read that in parts of Africa where they have a yam rich diet there is a higher rate of twins!

Mummy Thanks for the reassurance about lining! I knew I had Hashimoto's but felt frustrated that the doc didn't offer much advice/ info about it. No positive opks yet this weekend but expecting one tomorrow so will prob re-scan on Sun.

LadyBee Your bluff/double bluff post made me laugh. The law of sod is duty bound to provide you with a bfp this month!

Digi So pleased you finally have a diagnosis and treatment plan. Smile I've never met Dr S yet feel an incredible amount of respect for him. I hope you manage to fall pg quickly again and that his treatment provides all the stickiness you need.

Waves to everyone else and all those lurking tonight. Loving this weather! [busmile] Only one more day to go until I can eat chocolate again, hurrah!

AandRMum · 23/04/2011 10:17

ladyB that looks amazing although doesn't it feel a little claustrophobic? I can relate to your comment about your last mc. I think I will be more shocked if one sticks now?!

wiggle Twins might not be so bad - won't need to go through all of this again!

Just worked out that niacin is B3 and is already in santogen so I didn't need to buy it seperately - vitamin newbie mistake!!

Freezingmyarseoff · 23/04/2011 10:38

Hurrah for battery
Am away for Easter so can't do proper catch but v happy for you

Ladybee · 23/04/2011 19:55

Those in the southeast can thank me for the rain, thought it had all finished, went out with the hose and promptly started another rainshower that should do all our gardens good

AandR yes, you would think that, and there is always a small moment when the lid comes down and the lights go off where I have to reassure myself that I can find the buttons, but there ARE buttons on the inside to turn lights on, open the lid or call the attendant, and I think that is reassuring enough to let you accept it. Also, it's sooo dark that you don't actually have a concept of where the edges are except if you float into them, so I tend to just imagine myself in the night sky which is very very open feeling. It IS amazing, and very easy - they've got everything sorted out to make it an enjoyable experience.

I think the weather was getting to me today, felt very out-of-sorts, a bit tired, a bit unsettled, very grumpy (poor DH got the brunt of it). Am fixing this now with a glass of rose, DH doing bath and some comfort tv on catch-up.

mousebacon · 23/04/2011 20:18

I'd love twins. It's the first time I've admitted that and I know we'd struggle financially but still, twins!

mummya I forgot to say, I'm not on FF but my temps have all been between 36.15 and 36.20.

Back on the wine tonight but much more chilled out today, managed to get a few jobs done in the garden before the rain came so just a few things left to do now Smile

Hope you're all well xx

hairylights · 24/04/2011 09:43

wave I'd love twins too.

Gott an Easter egg on my fertility monitor so officially ttc again :)

batteryhen · 24/04/2011 10:44

Big wave to everyone - we are off to the cotswolds for a week in a lovely cottage so won't be around much. Have a good week everyone xx

batteryhen · 24/04/2011 10:51

meant to say 'go hairy go' xxx

hairylights · 24/04/2011 11:10

:) battery we've just done the deed (tmi?) and also did yesterday.

Ladybee · 24/04/2011 17:06

I'd love twins too - I think it's partly because I've lost too many and I feel a bit like I deserve a 'bonus' Blush, but I know it's no picnic and higher risk and I've got enough risk to deal with, but I still wish for them Grin

I'm on 6-7dpo freeak out. Everything is feeling congested and crampy so I'm convinced that it's all implantation etc etc, trying to remind myself of my previous cycles where this happens and nothing.

Good luck Hairy - FWIW, I found swi on the second peak day most succesful.

This weather is amazing, so pleased I'm getting a bit of summer before flying away to autumn again.

hairylights · 24/04/2011 18:40

hi ladybee me too. At my age it would be high risk, but if it went ok
It would be my chance to have more than one child. All in one go. I know it'd be really really hard but we can dream, hey?

getawiggleon · 24/04/2011 20:23
getawiggleon · 24/04/2011 20:27

Note to self: read through message before posting to check for overuse of word 'blood'

Ladybee · 24/04/2011 20:47

Goodness, 19mm! But that's quite big! How big is an ovary then? I have visions of them being sort of green grape sized, but if an follicle can be 19mm and you can have more than one going at a time maybe they are more like small clementines?

Sigh.

Need distraction from a) list of things to do, b) wondering/hoping.

Did I mention my two best friends are both pg with their seconds? I started trying before either of them. No fair huh? Sad[jealous]Blush

mousebacon · 24/04/2011 20:51

Still no sign wiggle [buangry]

So pleased to see Im not the only loon that secretly yearns for twins. I do feel a sense of 'well, I've lost two and in a way it'd be like getting them back...

OK, time for more chocolate me thinks [bugrin]

getawiggleon · 24/04/2011 22:34

I think 18-30mm is considered a 'mature follicle' ie ready to rupture. I've got four of these going on at the mo yet feel less bloated/ about to ovulate than all previous cycles Confused.

Bee I know how you feel. I was miscarrying at a friend's hen weekend, she then got married, went on honeymoon, fell pg and is due in 2 months! It's weird thinking I was pg before she even started trying and now she's going to give birth and I'm still not pregnant!! Sigh..

Ladybee · 24/04/2011 22:47

I have just found out that an ovary is about the size of a grape, or at least an olive.

So if you have 4 maturing, and they say 'no go', are you going to obey? Or risk SWI (sorry if you've got male probs too, I forget).

MummyAbroad · 25/04/2011 00:00

hi ladies

getawiggle this may help or totally confuse you (sorry!) but I am pretty confident that my follicle was 18mm when it "hatched" and I got pregnant. Well, I went for a scan on day 11 of my cycle, follicle was 18mm, OPK was dark line and and I got a temp rise the next day. 3 subsequent pregnancy scans also show bean measuring correct for a day 11 ovulation. What a tough decision about SWI. Personally I would do it on the assumption that it cant hurt and might help, but presumably the clinic has a good reason for asking you to abstain. Does anyone know why?

mouse I ate loads of yams (called yucca over here, and part of the local diet) - didnt confess to DH why, just told him it helped boost fertility Blush Blush

so are you doing Sperm Meets Egg Plan, or Knitters patented-three-a-day or keep-shagging-till-temp-rise?

ladyB maybe in NZ you will be in the same season as me? Its the last few days of summer over here, then it suddenly changes to winter/rainy season in a matter of days, just when everyone in England is talking about how fab summer is.Hmm

Hope you all have a lovely Bank Holiday. [busmile] [busmile] [busmile]

digitalgirl · 25/04/2011 00:03

wiggle my scan on Monday showed one dominant follicle at 7-8mm. Then I ovulated on Wednesday (now confirmed by the all knowing ff). So I would be very tempted to do the deed. DH had a supposedly low count yet we had sex every day in the week leading up to ovulation and got pregnant. Good luck with whatever you do though, sounds like this could be a good one!

ladybee I hope this cycle works out for you. I think you'll be pleased with whatever the outcome is, because there's so much going on.

mouse I hope it's not much more of a wait for you. I know you've had irregular cycles in the past, it's probably nothing more sinister than you're hormones taking a while to rebalance - and your body giving you a chance to emotionally heal. Especially after everything you've been through. It's bloody frustrating though, I know that.

As for me, I'm 4dpo, definitely not pg, awaiting the start of the next cycle with interest. Taking note of every 'symptom' I have so I can dismiss it next time. I'm going to call Mr S's midwife on Tuesday and demand a prescription for all the medication I'll need. With all the bank holidays, working away from home and then going on holiday for two weeks there's a small chance I may ovulate earlier than usual (now I'm on metformin) so want to be prepared just in case.

getawiggleon · 25/04/2011 07:42

Morning ladies, thanks for all the advice Smile temps still down this morning so guessing those Easter eggs have still not hatched! Gave DH a night off last night but think we'll swi today regardless (super swimmers according to sperm analysis so hopefully shouldn't affect things too much even if ov isn't until tomorrow!)

Need to be at clinic for 9am for bloods again. Yesterday was the busiest I've ever seen it. Easter Sunday and there were no seats in the waiting room, people were sitting outside in the hall and half way up the stairs!!

digi I hope you get the prescription you need from Dr S. It will bring piece of mind to know you have everything in the bathroom cabinet ahead of your next bfp.
